Chapter 211 211: The 8th Wave II

One of the Banelings crawled on the ground on all floors with massive sores popping out of his back, that opened up to reveal tentacles with barbed hooks. The tentacles stretched out, growing longer than should be possible for a Baneling that wasn't even six feet tall ,should it be required to stand on its own two feet. Cole summoned [Black Malakai] and flicked the sword through, slashing three of the tentacles, but somehow those same three tentacles ended Up smashing into his chest and pushing him three steps backwards

Cole grunted, he was a little bruiser but that healed almost the same second he had gotten it. The Baneling skittered to the side and attacked again, once again Cole narrowed his eyes and slashed through those tentacles, this time paying attention to his target and realizing that the Baneling had some form of rapid regeneration, Cole smiled in response as he took the second hit, and watched as the Baneling bounded from the head of one Baneling to another then leapt at him.

[Black Malakai] was held high above his head as he slashed down, making sure [Black Cut] was sending a little extra along the way, as the Leaping Baneling was ripped in two, both halves of it's body rapidly turning into flakes of black ash, as it was corrupted into nothingness. Cole flicked his blade slamming it onto the massive finger nails of another Baneling with a mouth full of hideous serrated teeth.

There was a loud screeching the air as blade met nails and Cole had to take a moment to appreciate the strength of the nails that had just attached him. He leapt forwards, his feet barely leaving the ground as he revered the grip on [Black Malakai] and slammed the gun into the temple of the Baneling. The ensuing head explosion was nothing short of spectacular as Cole sheathed the sword behind his waist and drew his revolvers, and wild and massive grin on his face.

He leapt into the air, emptying both guns of the bullets in the chamber, causing explosions of fire and ice in different parts of the battlefield. He flung a variety of bullets into the air then used [Spectral Rover] to slow time down enough for him to move the revolving barrels of both guns through the air, fetching the bullets, until only three were left which he promptly grabbed with his teeth.

Time sped back up as he created a Platform of [Gravity] underneath his feet, making it as wide as he possibly could, enough to actually cover a small baseball field. Then he smiled a wicked grin, the bullets in his mouth and held in between his teeth glinting under the sunlight for all to see as he sent the [Gravity] platform crashing down, onto the massive crowd of Banelings that had been gathered underneath him.

*BOOM*

Black blood spread everywhere as bones and flesh were all completely turned to mush. With just this attack alone Cole had cleared a massive swathe of the battlefield for himself, but the Banelings were still coming and up until this point he had still not been able to locate the boss. But be that as it may the stronger his enemies, or the larger the odds against him, the stronger he became.

Cole let out a massive howl that was so reminiscent of a wolf, it was almost as if a shadow of the creature was hanging behind him. He rushed forwards moving to meet the routing crowds of Banelings when the sounds of another [Emp Howl] shook the battlefield. While it didn't do much as the Banelings were very much a bio organic organisms, it was still enough to announce Neral's arrival into the battlefield as the Cyber dog rushed past Cole using his [Bionic Tackle] to take down a Bruiser that had suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

It was somewhat comical, but shocking at the same time as the four feet tall dog had taken down a creature over ten feet tall and close to 2 meters wide. The Baneling did not even has so much as time to react as Neral went up to it's neck and attacked, using [Lock Jaw] to bite through it neck and crush it at the same time, completely severing it's head from the rest of its body. Seeing this Cole had an ideal thought….. he really needed to get more dogs.

[Vertigo]

Was used as Cole shifted black Malakai into its massive Buster Sword form. And then he went into a wild spin, making sure to keep Vertigo active around his body as he did so. The ensuing results was nothing short of a disaster as every Baneling zombie they got close to him would be affected by the skill and be unable to do anything about it, but to wait and watch as they were cut down to pieces.

In a way, you could say that Cole was in the zone, and with Neral besides him, the destruction that the created was so palpable it was a wonder why they needed an army in the first place to go through all ten waves. From what he could see, perhaps it would have just been better to throw his damn dog at the Banelings in the first place. Cole was in the midst of that talk when a kick took him in the chest, and it was powerful, so powerful that Cole could not help but cry out in pain as he was blasted backwards and his entire chest was caved in, turning it into a ruined piece of bones and flesh, under the attack he had just received.

"BOSS!" he heard Neral scream as his body bounced over the ground more times than he could possibly count as [Wrath Drive] was forcibly disengaged. He could tremors still moving through his body and ruining his insides, Cole cried out in pain as he raised his head up and saw who and what had attacked him.

A Baneling 3 feet tall, decked all in black with a cape and full face mask, and a balefully aura of darkness hanging over its form. Guess Cole now had the pleasure of coming face to face with the boss of the eight wave, and Neral knew just who it was…..
