Chapter 135 135: Glade Politics IV

When Cole logged back in it was to a much more different body than what he had left behind. The first thing he noticed was that his pitch black skin seemed to have developed a midnight blue hue and a more defined scale form. It still felt like skin to him, but Cole was decidedly looking more demon like, but at the same time he was still retaining significant parts of his humanity to not seem as if he had completely discarded his roots. But then again with every racial refinement and advancement, Cole was looking decidedly less and less human with each new one.

This time a lot of things were different, for one he had finally crossed the six feet height, it was now a little but closer to his real world six foot five. But more than just his height was the fact that Cole's tail had grown stronger and Cole now had complete and absolute control over the appendage, being able to use it to even hold Black Malakai freely in his hand without a hint of problem. Cole was stronger and a lot broader, but not so bad that he was like some low budget of the rock, just wide enough to be intimidating yet still sleek with smooth edges than blocky corners. Even as a demon, the Raen spawn is a species built for speed and sudden power born from momentum, but above all it was still an affliction specialist at the core, making for an extremely dangerous race.

Never the less Cole was done with the racial refinement, it had taken him three in game hours, which was just enough time for him to make whatever arrangements he had to make for Cassandra and her brother. Lucky enough for them his grandmother had associates close to Saturn space, they will be picked up in three real world days and negotiations for a deal with Darius Nightmoon and Sons industries had gotten underway in order to make sure that Darius who in turn is Raven's grandfather keeps and eye on his grandson and ensures that Cassandra and Silas Aka Razor were safe and untouched.

That would mean he has kept his word and he no longer owed anything to Cassandra, it would be best to keep the woman at arms length, she had the feel of someone who would want to get familiar. He'd much rather speed run this floor and get on to the chaos of the next floor and not have to deal with her and all of her shenanigans. After looking through his stat page, Cole picked augments for the Charisma and Attunement stats. As usual he was given a lot of great choices but Cole picked [Aura(Mastery)] for Charisma, and then for attunement he picked [Dimension(Mastery)] to properly augments the space mastery he already attached to the attunement stats. Plus with everything that was going on with the event and the real world, having some theoretical power over dimensions or teleportation would be extremely cool, but ultimately it was still a wait and see how strong I can get situation.

[Racial Refinement Complete! Race Refined to Raen Knight! +60 to all Stats! +60 to all stats per level, +40 Stat Points per level]

There was no new addition to his energy, but this was already too much. He was probably a lot luckier than even those who could have been lucky enough to have gold or diamond ranked race generated for them. Plus there would probably be more Raen spawns by the time the next batch of aspirants come in at the 5th floor, by then every new member of the race would be more stats for him, and depending on how high he could have probably raised the race to by then, he would receiving a colossal amount of stats per level up. He could not wait to get to level 50 and see just what was in store for him, level 50 was also a watershed for classes as you would get a secondary class slot, and then perhaps either upgrade your current class or replace it with another.

But that was something to look forward to and worry about in the future, right now he was ready as he could possibly be for the raid that was to come. Cole gave his stat page a cursory look, rounding up all of his gains and he prepared himself for what was likely the biggest fight of the third floor…. At least at this current state anyways. Due to how chaotic it could possibly be, and unlike the first time the darklings would be attacking with the intent to kill and not capture… so he was also getting himself ready to lose a life or two, if that is what it takes.

Cole was ready, he moved away… once again feeling as if he had forgotten something again, but he shrugged and just pushed on ahead. If he had to be honest he was getting a little anxious with what was about to go down. He had what was probably a unanimous vote of confidence from at least 85% of the individuals in the Glade. They expected him to lead them all to victory within having any sort of problem, he had every intention of doing so, but somehow this was turning out to be a lot of pressure. His own reaction itself confused him as this was not something Cole could actually say he has ever experienced…. He wanted to be the antihero who did not care much for long talks and politics, the guy who no one liked but feared and respected.

Guys like that don't get the vote, they're always the least popular but somehow Cole had become the guy everyone liked and trusted. He's had to answer so many greetings and give advice over build, stats, skills and every other thing that you could possibly think off. It really was a weird experience as this was something that happened out of his family's controlled environment. He was not relying on the reputation and power of his family, instead his own charisma and character got him a position of power…. And he had absolutely no idea what to do with it.

"The tanks and the archers are ready, everyone else has placed themselves into different support units. I'm most proud of the healer until, do you know that the amount to almost 45% of our population?" Farida spoke up as she got a little bit closer to Cole, he shook his head in response shocked that they had so many 'Nursemaids' around. Healing and other support skills were extremely rare to get from bronze and iron prisms. You can only see healing skills in silver and above prisms, yet with how rare they were, the healers still amounted to 45% of the entire aspirant population in glade Solitude….Cole might have to change a few of his plans.

Ultimately perhaps their approach can be a little bit wilder than normal, but then again it wouldn't do to underestimate the enemy and overestimate their own abilities. Slow and steady wins the race as they say, and Cole already has method that he was sure would work for all of them as long as they stuck to it to the end. He nodded his head to no one in particular then raised his voice loud enough that everyone could hear him.

"Glade Solitude! 3 more minutes to take care of any remaining business! And after that!..... After that we go hunting!"
