Chapter 110 110: The First Ring III

When Cole finally came to, it was not in the glare like he had expected. Instead he was hanging upside down with his hand and legs bound behind him. And then directly on the ground, with it's point facing up was Black Malakai. Any mistake he made here would end up with him skewering himself on his own sword.

His body seemed to ache something fierce, but ultimately he was still a bit okay. He could feel his energy regenerating and it in time was sending a trickle every second to his [Demonic Constitution] skill. Healing him of whatever scrapes and bruises were left on him.

But even beyond that he could feel that his energy pool was low, and for that to happen he must have drained it more than once in order to heal from his injuries. He took a pause, trying to focus a bit as he looked around the area that he suddenly found himself in. The first thing he noticed were the damp earthen walls, the tiny strips of roots that seemed to pierce in and out of said wall made him understand that at the Moment he was probably underground.

When he paid a closer attention to what was holding him tied down, he realized that it was actually roots from the earth itself. He sighed, he didn't like this one bit, not at all. Then he heard some shuffling, the sound forced him to reorient his wandering thoughts back to his current predicament as another darkling stepped into the area that he had been imprisoned. Unlike the previous ones that he had seen that had animal like shapes, this one was distinctly human, a female even and had a more defined exoskeleton on her body.

The energy like body underneath the bone armor that covered it in segments was a deep shade of dark forest green, and her arrival pretty much made things weird for Cole. In the end he had a bit of questions to ask as the fact that he was now seeing a human shaped darkling left him wondering if perhaps there wasn't more to the whole darkling fiasco than he had originally thought.

"Hope you're making yourself comfortable human? It will be a long time again before you see the light of day, assuming of course you don't die before the day runs out." She paused as she stepped closer to Cole and took a deep sniff of his scent, pulling his head upward to meet her face as she crouched down a bit, Cole shuddered at that as he tried to hear the pain in his neck.

"its been a long time since anyone had ventured this far out. You 'normal people' are always so afraid that you hardly step out of your fucking glades unless you're a hunting or gathering party each armed to the teeth. And then you and your idiot friends thought it was wise to go gathering in my forest? Just the both of you? Really foolishness has a whole new level and it seems it starts with you at the bottom."

Cole raised an eyebrow at that, more exposition to his current situation without having to ask or torture someone for it was quite good in his own opinion. There was nothing else to do here but just act like he was scared or in pain and let the freaky ectoplasmic female spill out her guys…. And soon enough preferably in a literal sense while he tries to escape.

She brushed a finger across his neck, her energy form coming in direct contact with his skin. All of a sudden Cole felt and intense wave of nausea as the world seemed to tilt itself sideways. He groaned hard and deeply as he felt a massive drain on whatever was left of his reserves. The darkling female shuddered in ecstasy as she preened, a weird undulating cry coming out from the back of her throat before she moaned in delight.

She pulled back from Cole, jerking back so hard it was obvious it had taken an extremely strong force of will for her to do so on her path. She quivered as she held her hands to her body as if she was embracing herself. The dark forest green body flashed and grew a shade lighter and developed more texture. Cole on the other hand felt as if they had just sucked his 8nsixes out through his body with a straw, using his ear canal as an exit point.

"I have to be careful, if I want to make you last longer I have to feed sparingly, to at least give you the chance to recover some lost energy. I'd take a bit every time, yes I would. You'll be freshly squeezed for a few weeks at least, and then eventually you will be gone and then be reborn. With how cute you look I'm sure you would be absolutely gorgeous as a Darkling….it would be so romantic if you take me out on a date to hunt the others living in your glade."

Cole raised an eyebrow at that, so she wasn't just a monster she was also a crazy. He shook his head, the last thing he would want to deal with right now was a crazed monster woman, but he was able to draw a theory out from everything that he had just seen and heard, and as far as Cole was concerned that was enough information to be gleaned.

He felt somewhat remorseful to the people and things that had died to him draining them dry of all their energy and life force, heck even their soul. What this creepy darkling woman just did to him was something similar, if not the exact same thing. He needed to get the fuck out of here, spending weeks hanging upside down and getting 'touched' was not his idea of gaining power and strength, the tour was over and he needed to get out of dodge.

"You should rest, I took a little bit more than Intended, but nothing that you wouldn't be able to recoup with a good night's sleep. If you're lucky we could find a woman for you to breed with, I have been trying to get my farms started for a very, very long time, but it's so hard you know. But with a new glade of extremely foolish people now close by, I can and will happily see what joys the art of 'people husbandry' would bring to me and my belly. Have a good night my pet, and don't even think about trying to escape, you are in a darkling nest.

There are thousands of chitterlings in here alone not to mention the Ursalings that beat you to shit and dragged you back for me. So it would be in your best interest to stay put, you and that weird sword of yours. Now do have a good rest darling I'll see bright and early for breakfast."

And the she was gone, leaving an irate and very annoyed Cole behind. He counted up until it was just under ten to fifteen minutes after she had left. He strained his senses, pushing his perception to the limit in order to make sure there was nothing and nobody close by to bring his attempts at escaping to a screeching halt. Luckily enough for him there was none and Cole had the coast clear enough to make an attempt. He grunted as he realized that he was wrapped tightly like some sausage roll, he sighed.

"This might be harder than I thought, I wonder what those traitors are doing right now?"
