Chapter 12: Preparing for a Surprise

Having something to look forward to in life is different from having nothing to do all day. Ever since Zhou Mushi started making plans, he felt a significant improvement in his insomnia and vivid dreaming.”

Apart from feeling excited on the night before the upcoming day, as he stared at the face of the man sleeping next to him at night, Zhou Mushi’s heart was filled with mixed feelings. Although there were sour, spicy, and salty emotions, in the end there was more sweetness.

The next morning, Jin Yang got up as usual, quickly freshened up, and prepared to go to work. He dressed very gently, afraid to wake the person who was still asleep.

After touching the phone on the bedside table, unplugging the charging cable and putting it in his pocket, he paused at the head of the bed and wanted to take a look at Zhou Mushi, but he couldn’t see anything.

The person was buried in the sweet scent of sleep under the covers, hiding themselves completely from head to toe, and leaving only a small gap for breathing. Jin Yang suddenly wanted to kiss him, but he didn’t want to disturb the person on of the bed, so he had to give up.

Zhou Mushi who had already woken up since Jin Yang got out of bed, vaguely heard a sigh, which seemed not very clear, and disappeared with the person who went out in a moment. He almost jumped up from the bed like a carp as soon as the door was locked.

He got out of bed barefoot, put on slippers casually, and peeked out of the room to make sure that Jin Yang had really left. Then he happily flopped onto the sofa, thinking for a while and then silly giggling to himself on the sofa.

When he pulled out everything from the storage room and left them all lying around in the living room, Zhou Mushi finally realized what it meant to have a splitting headache!

He was really not a careful and patient person. Although he looked like a refined and delicate scholar with ten pretty fingers, he just couldn’t handle this meticulous work.

After taking out all these big and small items from the packaging boxes, it was even more headache-inducing. Zhou Mushi had never been as eager to go to the construction site to do some heavy lifting as he was now.

However, what could he do? He had to dote on his man. To spoil him, he had to come up with something romantic from the bottom of his heart.

He rummaged through the smallest box at the bottom and found the tablecloth he had purchased online, which was a simple white lace tablecloth. It took him several hours just to pick this one. He cleared the table first and then laid out the new tablecloth. The only downside was that it had some slight creases.

No way! These creases are really annoying. Although he may not be good at working, he is still very good at finding faults!

Zhou Mushi went to look for the iron at home, but Jin Yang is usually the one who handles it. For a moment, He couldn’t remember where he put it. After searching around for a while, he finally found it in the third drawer under the sink in the bathroom.

It’s fortunate that he was extremely careful and diligently searched for the usage tutorial on Baidu, or else he might have burnt the tablecloth.

“Ironing requires a lot of skill,” Zhou Mushi sighed

At least Jin Yang keeps the house clean on a regular basis, so there’s no need for a thorough cleaning, which saves him a lot of effort.

He put the silver candlestick on the table, insert a beautiful scented candle, wondered whether should it be a little to the left or a little to the right? He felt that it was a bit off, so he took out a measuring tape from the toolbox and measured it bit by bit to find a suitable position for the candlestick.

When the food ingredients and roses that were ordered in advance arrived, he had just finished making the bed and had also placed a delicate little ornament in the room.

The painting ‘Wind Blowing Over the Wheat Fields’ has dried, and it was framed in a frame that fits it perfectly, and hung on the wall.

Although his skills are limited, it is still his own work that he personally painted. Jin Yang said that of those few paintings, this one is his favorite.
