This was Pei QianYue’s second time entering Feng Ci’s Sea of Awareness.

It was still that quiet and peaceful ginkgo forest, but different from before, the forest was now shrouded by dark clouds that blocked out the sunlight.

The conditions inside the Sea of Awareness were affected by its owner. It can be seen that Feng Ci’s current condition was really not very good.

A slightly cold breeze swept through the forest and encircled Pei QianYue without leaving.

This was the owner of the Sea of Awareness coming to guide the way for him.

However, Feng Ci was unaware that Pei QianYue had already entered here once before. Finding the way was no problem for him.

He didn’t delay any longer. Increasing his pace, it didn’t take him long to see that lake.

As well as the pavilion next to the shore of the lake.

The bamboo curtains around the four sides of the pavilion had already been lowered completely, concealing the figure of the person inside. The darkened skies seemed to be covered by a thin layer of ash. The cold wind from the lake swept over moist air, giving a feeling like rain was about to arrive from the mountains.

Pei QianYue swiftly walked into the pavilion.

A white robed young man curled up on the bamboo couch, complexion slightly pale. There was a thin layer of sweat on his forehead.

Sensing Pei QianYue’s approach, Feng Ci complained quietly without even looking up: “So slow……”

Pei QianYue bent down and drew Feng Ci into his arms.

The senses of the Divine Consciousness were much stronger than that of the physical body. When that slightly cold palm pressed against his waist, the temperature penetrated through the single layer of clothes, which was thin as silk; it felt incomparably distinct.

Feng Ci tensed up for a moment. Outside of the pavilion, the wind from the lake abruptly increased in intensity.

The wind blowing outside struck continuously against the pavilion’s wooden beams. The dark clouds on the horizon also billowed tumultuously, as if the rain was about to drop at any second.

In the Sea of Awareness, Feng Ci naturally returned to his original appearance.

The true appearance of Saint Sovereign QianQiu was definitely not that of the weak and skinny youth. The young man, who was close in stature to Pei QianYue, had nothing to do with the descriptions of weak and delicate. Feeling the flexible and tight waist beneath his palm, Pei QianYue’s breathing turned a bit heavy.

But he was in no rush.

Pei QianYue lowered his head and asked softly: “Master, do you like this?”

Feng Ci didn’t answer.

He grabbed the hem of Pei QianYue’s clothes, fingertips trembling slightly. Between inhales, he released a heavy, trembling breath.

It was rare to see the Saint Sovereign QianQiu like this. Even during the extremely arduous battle 3000 years ago, Feng Ci has never remembered himself appearing so disheveled and distressed. Of course, it could also be that back then, there was no one there to covet him and examine him inch by inch like this, as if appreciating a fine work of art.

Feng Ci could clearly feel the incorporeal gaze that landed on his body, carefully ‘looking’ at his every tremor and every gasping breath.

Pervert.

Feng Ci thought mentally.

How could there be someone who likes looking at another person’s disheveled and distressed appearance?

Pei QianYue also didn’t know why he liked it so much, but it felt like even the demon(妖) clan’s natural wickedness was being excited into a frenzy right now. He placed his palm against Feng Ci’s lower back and rubbed slowly and gently.

“Master,” Pei QianYue called out to him quietly: “Tell me, do you like this?”

Feng Ci panted silently.

The pain that he felt right now came from the body, however his soul never received any damage. Through giving the soul a different kind of sensation, it could override the pain to a certain extent.

That’s why Feng Ci let Pei QianYue inside.

Pei QianYue clearly knew this very well, but he absolutely refused to just give Feng Ci a break.

Feng Ci felt both angry and frustrated internally. He raised his head. Amidst the sound of the whistling of the wind and rustling of the bamboo curtains, he dragged Pei QianYue over.

And dropped a slightly vicious kiss on his lips.

Feng Ci has endured that continuous and endless pain for too long, his mental state was already stretched as taut as he could go. As if venting, he gnawed on Pei QianYue’s lips, quickly tasting blood.

Pei QianYue couldn’t hold back from chuckling.

“Okay. I’ll give it to you right now.” Pei QianYue bent down and drew Feng Ci into his arms again: “But Master needs to tell me…what you want me to do.”

……

When Pei QianYue leaned down for another kiss, it finally started to rain inside the Sea of Awareness.

The fine rain fell onto the roof of the pavilion continuously. The drizzling sound of the rain concealed the rustling sound of clothes rubbing against each other in the pavilion below, as well as the suppressed gasps and pants.

The extremely sensitive Divine Consciousness magnified each and every touch boundlessly. The originally relentless feeling of pain was replaced by another even more indescribable feeling. Feng Ci laid supine on the bamboo couch, uncontrollably releasing quiet, low moans.

Regardless of that first time inside the illusion or the day on the flying ship, neither were as stimulating compared to right now.

In a daze, Feng Ci suddenly recalled Xiao Que’s recommendation back then.

…… To hell with the ‘it’s best to interact via soul exchange’.

Influenced by the emotions of its owner, a wild gale appeared inside the Sea of Awareness. The dark clouds in the sky billowed. The wild gale pulled and twisted the calm surface of the lake into waves that smacked against the reefs of the shore again and again.

Pei QianYue naturally felt the changes in the Sea of Awareness. He paused his movements slightly and looked up: “Uncomfortable?”

Feng Ci’s breathing staggered.

When the Divine Consciousness was touched directly, even a gentle caress was enough to override the pain of the flesh. But once that stopped, that pin-pricking pain would only rebound even more intensely. This made the originally not so terrible pain become exceptionally hard to endure.

He was doing it deliberately!

Feng Ci broke out into cold sweat almost instantly. The young man’s black hair spread out underneath him. The scattered strands of hair in front of his forehead were slightly moist with sweat and his eyes were filled with a watery light.

“Pei. Qian. Yue.” Feng Ci gritted his teeth softly.

Pei QianYue could no longer conceal the almost wicked delight on his face: “What?”

“Dilly dallying……” Feng Ci clenched his teeth and snapped coldly: “If you can’t do it, next time I’ll do it instead.”

In other words, there’s still a next time.

This powerful demon, who had lived for at least three thousand years, was coaxed into jubilation by these incidental words from Feng Ci. Pei QianYue lowered his head and kissed the corner of Feng Ci’s eyes, feeling the slight wetness there.

“No need for that.” Pei QianYue opened his mouth, even his voice turned blithe: “How can I let Master exhaust himself over with this kind of thing?”

Feng Ci fell back onto the bamboo couch and relaxed: “Make it feel good then.”

Pei QianYue gladly agreed.

The rain, instantly fell even harder.

The initial thin drizzle turned into a downpour in a split second. The raindrops hit the roof of the pavilion, pitter-pattering endlessly. The dark clouds in the sky billowed. In the forest, the leaves fell under the raindrops. Inside the wild gale and rainstorm, only this pavilion remained unaffected, like the only shelter within this world.

……

……

Pei QianYue had indeed served very energetically.

Or it should be said that…… he was a bit too energetic.

Thinking about it in the aftermath, Feng Ci figured it’s perhaps because the little snake hatchling had guarded his physical body and suppressed himself for 3000 thousand years; he suppressed himself too much. In the end, Feng Ci even somewhat rejoiced that Pei QianYue fell for him. If it were someone else who didn’t have such a high cultivation level, whose soul wasn’t that powerful, they might have been tormented to death directly in the bed by this guy.

There was no day or night inside the Sea of Awareness, only the heavy rain falling and then stopping, a cycle that repeated continuously.

“You really don’t know moderation at all.” Once, when the rain finally stopped, Feng Ci complained while lying hands and legs sore and limp on top of Pei QianYue.

As if trying to reclaim all of his unsatisfied desires and longing in the past thousands of years from Feng Ci, Pei QianYue moved, each time more aggressively than the last. In the most recent instance, even Feng Ci couldn’t endure it anymore and had to put down his pride as Saint Sovereign to plead for mercy.

The result of this was, naturally, that a certain someone became even more excited.

The good thing was that Feng Ci could hardly feel the pain from the reconnecting meridians now.

In fact, because of his soul’s impressive self-healing ability, even the soreness of his limbs was no longer that obvious.

Leaving behind only the contentment and satisfaction after a passionate night.

Feng Ci laid on top of Pei QianYue, listening to the sound of water dripping off of the roof outside, too lazy to even move a single finger.

This was indeed a very unfathomable experience.

In the instant when the buildup of desire finally released… what Heavenly Will, what cultivation world, what living beings on earth— they all seemed no longer important.

There was only each other in this world; they could only feel each other.

Pei QianYue only rested for a while before becoming restless again. Feng Ci gave him a push, but couldn’t move him. He said somewhat feebly: “I know you’re not a human, but at least you should learn how to be humane, right?”

The latter replied without even thinking about it: “Don’t want to.” What’s so good about being humane?

Being humane won’t help him eat Master.

Feng Ci didn’t understand. They both had 3000 years of cultivation, so why was Pei QianYue more and more energetic, while on the contrary, he… seemed more like a scholar, who had his vital essence sucked dry by a pesky demon.

After doing it so many times, he only felt his legs weak.

Was the superiority of species so evident?

“No more…..” Feng Ci attempted to reason with him: “We’ve already stayed inside the Sea of Awareness for a long time. It must be daylight outside already. Valley Master Xiao still needs to check on the healing progress of my meridians. We have to…… Pei QianYue!”

Pei QianYue bit Feng Ci on the shoulder, leaving behind two distinctive teeth marks.

“We have to what?” Without even looking up, Pei QianYue continued to bite from Feng Ci’s shoulder to the side of his neck, like he was trying to leave his marks all over Feng Ci’s body.

Feng Ci really didn’t understand where this strange obsession came from.

Putting aside the fact that Feng Ci’s Divine Consciousness possessed the ability to self heal, as long as the core was not damaged, any kind of injury would vanish very quickly. In addition, both of them were in their Divine Conscious states right now. No matter how many marks they leave, it can’t be brought back to the real world.

Yet Pei QianYue just liked leaving all kinds of marks on him— reapplying them again and again after they vanish, enjoying himself without growing bored.

There was a sharp pain to the side of Feng Ci’s neck. Most likely, it was because Pei QianYue wasn’t careful while biting him and accidentally pierced through the skin. Feng Ci was too lazy to stop him and also knew it was impossible to stop him. Patiently, Feng Ci coaxed him, saying: “In a little while, Valley Master Xiao will be coming over. If he sees the two of us having a tryst inside the Sea of Awareness, what kind of image would that create?”

Pei QianYue acknowledged him and continued to bury his face into the crook of Feng Ci’s neck, biting and gnawing. His hand was also randomly touching all over Feng Ci’s body without propriety.

Almost becoming excited by his teasing, Feng Ci hastily said: “And my physical body! I managed to endure reconnecting my meridians after all that effort and hardship. If something goes wrong, what are we supposed to do?”

This reason finally convinced Pei QianYue somewhat.

He raised his head and sighed very reluctantly: “Alright.”

Feng Ci opened his eyes.

After returning to his physical body, he did not feel the expected pain or discomfort. On the contrary, the first sensation that reached his mind was the aching soreness from his soul. He attempted to sit up straight, but the waves of numbness and soreness from his lower back forced him back down heavily again.

Falling back into a familiar embrace.

Energetic and refreshed, Pei QianYue greeted him: “Good morning, Master.”

Good, my ass.

Feng Ci cursed and turned to look towards the window.

The climate of LingNan was cold and humid. The closer it was to Winter, the more rain it got. The rain continued endlessly, sometimes possibly lasting for several months.

But today, for once, it was bright and sunny.

The sunlight was currently bright outside. The rays poured inside the room through the window and brought a bit of warmth into this early winter weather.

However, no matter how you looked at it, it was already in the middle of the afternoon.

Pei QianYue said leisurely: “Looks like… Valley Master Xiao has already left.”

His tone even sounded a bit smug.

Feng Ci was so mad he wanted to hit someone. Unfortunately, he really couldn’t get up. He had no choice but to give Pei QianYue a kick under the blankets: “Then why don’t you hurry up and go find him?”

Pei QianYue had eaten heartily and drank his fill last night. Naturally, he behaved and obeyed Feng Ci docilely.

He got out of bed, got dressed, and very quickly went out the door.

Feng Ci sat himself up cross-legged and self-adjusted.

He originally thought that after his meridians were reconnected, he would need to recuperate for a long time before he could return to normal function. However, unexpectedly, he was only exhausted from last night’s indulgence right now, completely lacking any physical muscle or bone pain.

The Master of Shaman Valley was truly well-deserving of his reputation.

Feng Ci adjusted his energies briefly and felt that he had pretty much no issue in circulating his spirit energy. As such, he got up and went to leave the bed.

However, as soon as his foot touched the ground, he instantly lost strength and almost fell over.

A figure swept into the room and caught him firmly.

Pei QianYue pressed him back onto the bed and scolded: “Don’t move randomly. If you want to do something, just let me help you. What if you injure your meridians again……”

Feng Ci didn’t make a sound. He was too embarrassed to tell Pei QianYue it was because they had played around too much last night that his legs were a bit weak right now.

He replied with a vague noise and asked: “How come you came back so quickly? Where’s Valley Master Xiao?”

Pei QianYue said: “Perhaps he had come searching for us earlier, but we weren’t awake at that time, so he left a disciple waiting outside. I already told that disciple to get Valley Master Xiao. He should be arriving very soon.”

Xiao Guo did indeed arrive very soon.

Lips sealed, Feng Ci did not mention a word about what happened this morning and obediently sat on the bed, letting Xiao Guo check his pulse. The other also inserted some spiritual energy into Feng Ci’s body to examine the healing progress of his meridians.

A moment later, Xiao Guo withdrew his spirit energy and said with a nod: “Not bad. The injury has pretty much recovered. After recuperating for about a month and a half, your spirit energy will recover fully. Then we can slowly figure out how to strengthen your physical body.”

Feng Ci replied saying: “Okay. Many thanks, Valley Master Xiao.”

Xiao Guo then turned to look towards Pei QianYue: “Oh right, there was some urgent business in LangFeng City. Xiao Que has already gone back ahead of time. He wanted me to let you know, City Master Pei.”

Pei QianYue asked: “What happened?”

“Looks like it’s related to the entrance evaluation of the various cultivation sects.” Xiao Guo said: “I heard it’s because there are too many sects applying to join the Immortal Alliance this year. Various sects within the alliance petitioned to close the registration early and start the Immortal Alliance evaluation as soon as possible.”

Feng Ci raised an eyebrow.

He knew what’s to come after the Immortal Alliance evaluation. That was the final part of the Heavenly Principles’ plan, and it was also the ultimatum given to him by the Heavenly Principles.

But this event, which should be occurring in six months…… Why was it being suddenly moved ahead of time without any warning?

Feng Ci turned his head to look at Pei QianYue. The latter had an indifferent expression, which showed no emotions.

Pei QianYue repeated quietly: “Various sects within the alliance?”

Xiao Guo coughed softly and emphasized: “Various sects within the alliance, with LingXiao Gates in the lead.”

LingXiao Gates. During the Immortal Alliance rebellion back then, they had already been the main conspirator. Now they were suddenly requesting for the Immortal Alliance evaluation to start ahead of time. Most likely, this was also a calculated scheme.

Xiao Guo said: “In any case, the petition from the various cultivation sects has already reached your LangFeng City. But you, the City Master, was not present. So that pitiful little brother of mine had no choice but to head back first to stabilize the overall situation.”

Feng Ci frowned: “Why such a hurry all of a sudden?”

It was unprecedented for the Immortal Alliance evaluation to be moved ahead. Such a major event, the Leaders of the Six Sects should be discussing it for several days at least before the Alliance Leader makes the final decision. How can a decision be forced immediately after sending the petition?

Hearing these words, Xiao Guo examined the two people with a strange expression and mumbled: “The petition was delivered to LangFeng City three days ago. Xiao Que waited several days, until this morning, when he had no choice but to head back. I feel like this isn’t so impromptu.”

Feng Ci: “?”

Feng Ci: “Wait a second. How many days, did you say?”

“Three days, plus one morning.” Xiao Guo looked at Feng Ci and praised sincerely: “As expected of Grandmaster QianQiu. You’re really amazing.”
