1-1 Let’s Use Simple Magic

Now, since you’ve acquired enough magic to be capable of reading these letters, you must’ve already learned the simplest among basic magic. I shall describe them now for review.

The simplest magic in each attribute, is the magic which creates a substance corresponding to that attribute.

The reason for these magic spells being the simplest, is that they don’t require you to set a value, which I shall describe later.

The amount of substance produced is proportional to the amount of magical power, and the type of substance produced depends on the caster’s quality of magical power.

Now, while also serving as a review, I shall list the respective spells for each attribute.

Fire: [Ignite]

Water: [Water Creation]

Wind: [Create Wind Orb]

Earth: [Soil Creation]

Light: [Illuminate]

Dark: [Create Dark Orb]

Please use the attached ‘magic measuring card’, to check your attributes and the quality of your magic.

Now that you’re ready to use magic, let’s try and activate it.

1-2 Let’s Set Values

Did you successfully activate magic?

There’s no need to be pessimistic even if you hadn’t.

Magic can be used by anyone.

Continue training daily, until you’re finally able to use magic.

Those who were successful, may progress on to the next step.

The next step, is to set values.

There are a few magic spells, which require some instructions beforehand in order to use them.

I shall use [Soil Manipulation] as an example.

[Soil Manipulation] is a spell used to move something which already exists.

In order to activate such movement, you need have information like “where?”.

If you, the reader, were asked to move a book on the table, you would also ask “where?” before moving it.

Magic is the same.

Without this “where?”, our magic spell won’t activate.

Then what shall we do to activate it?

We shall instruct our spell in advance, “where” we want it to move.

this instruction-in-advance is known as “setting value”.

Let’s learn how to set values beforehand, from magic textbooks.

In case of [Soil Manipulation], set the ‘movement distance’ as the ‘magic distance’.

Now let’s try and do it ourselves.

1-3 Let’s Confirm Our Settings

Did you successfully activate magic?

As you may already know, “Perception and setting of magic distance” as well as “designating a target for invoking magic” need to be practiced daily in order to accuracy.

Let’s challenge ourselves every day.

Now let’s move on to the next topic.

“I know the name of the magic, but I have no clue about its setting value.”

Such cases are also common.

In the great magic used by the Great Sage Dryer, the part of the formula which comes from the “Source”.

That is, the part which requires setting values, has a feedback function provided.

However, it’s not possible to perceive that feedback in the instant when magic is activated.

In that case, we hold our magic in magic standby state.

Doing so, allows us to set values to our magic during the created gap.

By receiving feedback from the magic formula and setting the values correctly, you will be able to use magic in a proper manner.

Before getting used to it, even if you know what values to set, it may be better to keep your magic in standby state, and activate it gradually.
