212 Kyle’s Teasing

She felt a bit guilty when she thought about how she couldn’t really actually adapt to this situation. Human’s adaptation ability was strong and Kate knew that she would have to adapt to this cruel and ruthless world sooner or later.

But from time to time, she still longed for the peaceful world. The peace that she had long gotten used in the past.

Even if life would never be the same anymore, she didn’t want to lose that warmth.

This is why she would rather stay inside the city with her parents rather than going out with Kyle and fought against those giant mutated animals.

<ok > Kate agreed quickly.

<That’s good.> Kyle smiled.

The two of them entered the stairs and walked down to the third underground floor. The others had already returned and currently taking turns to train in the training room. Jake already had his own room beside Lotte’s room since his room was taken as the training room.

“Oh, do you want to have spar? Marc and Lucy are inside and had been sparring for quite some time.” Jake pointed into the training room.

“No need.” Kyle shook his head. “We still have to kill giant mutated animals from the wall tomorrow. It’ll be better if you don’t’ exhaust yourself.”

“Don’t worry, we know about that.”

“It’s just going to be a light training.” Lotte smiled.

Dylan looked at these two and rolled his eyes. He walked towards his room as he didn’t want to stay any longer to wait for the battle to be over.

Kyle shook his head and walked back to his room with Kate. He looked at Kate and tousled her head a bit. “Take a bath first, Kate.”

Kate froze.

Damn! How could she forget that she had to take a bath again after they came back to their room.

She looked up and saw the mischievous grin on Kyle’s face.

“Meow!”

Hissing, Kate then stormed into the bathroom. She didn’t want to be teased by Kyle again after being teased so much in the morning.

Kyle let out a hearty laugh as he watched the little cat escaped to the bathroom. When she got out, he will naturally tease her again to take out his clothes.

Even though the relationship between him and that little cat was still relatively shallow, he felt that staying with her had been the best time in his life.

He liked to stay with her.

When Kate had finished, she had to endure her shyness and took out Kyle’s clothes before burying her head under her blanket again. She honestly didn’t want to have any interaction with Kyle anymore that was related to this.

Can’t he just take out his own clothes from the space?

Their space was already connected, ah!

Kate was busy complaining about Kyle inside her mind while he was taking a bath. When Kate calmed down, Kyle had finished and walked out of the bathroom. He took the bottle in the table and drank some water.

“Kate?”

Kate peeked out of the blanket, blinking her doe eyes towards Kyle.

Kyle chuckled lightly. “Sleep now. Tomorrow will be another tiring day.”

“Meow.” <I know>

Kate hissed lightly and then turned around, hiding herself within the blanket once again. She didn’t want to see Kyle at all!

Kyle didn’t mind the cat acting up against him and walked to the bed with lighthearted mood. As he lied down, he looked at the cat that was still covered by the blanket and lightly pulled it slightly.

<You’ll suffocate if you covered your entire body like that>

Kate turned to look at Kyle but didn’t pull the blanket again. She closed her eyes with her back facing Kyle.

<Good night.>

Kyle arched his eyebrows and a smile tugged on the corner of his lips. <Good night.>

The next day, Kate escaped before Kyle could tease her again. She tossed a stack of his clothes on the bed before running out of the room with her child form.

Kyle shook his head and began to clean up his clothes. Anyway, there was also a laundry machine here that he could use, so he didn’t mind that Kate was no longer taking out his clothes from his space when he teased her from time to time.

Knock! Knock!

“Yeah?” Kyle raised his head and saw Dylan standing there.

“Wall to eliminate giant mutated animals.” Dylan pointed outside.

“I know. You’re joining?”

“Yes.”

“I thought that you’re going to be busy producing clean water again. Or have they already cleaned up the filtering system?” Kyle asked.

There was a river on the other side of City E and the water there was connected to City E through some ways. For drinkable water, they would need a heavy filtration system and the water itself had to be taken from the area near the source or it would have to be processed so many times just to clean it.

The river around this area was not that clean, so they naturally couldn’t drink from the river directly. There was a reservoir to contain rainwater and also the filtration system. Because of the attack from giant mutated animals, the filtration system was not working that well, so they had been relying on the rainwater and also the water produced by these awakened people.

“It’s done.” Dylan nodded.

Kyle finished cleaning up his clothes and took out a wardrobe from the space to put the clothes inside.

Watching from the side, Dylan blinked his eyes. It seemed that the so called share of abilities between Kyle and Kate was more than the normal share of abilities he had seen before.

“Shared space?”

“Not completely. I can’t put it inside, but I can take out some items.” Kyle finished cleaning up and then walked out. The blood contract allowed him to share Kate’s ability in limited amount. It was quite convenient from time to time, but he definitely couldn’t show it in front of others.

If people were to find out that Kyle had 4 elements…
