Chapter 189 - 189 New Mission

189 New Mission

Time passed quietly.

The week time that Kyle stipulated passed quickly and the buildings were rapidly being built. With many buildings, the people who came with them are all had a place to stay and begun to start their work.

There were various of things to do. From farming, construction, rebuilding, and many others that had to be done. They were all ordered to work if they wanted to eat because the food was rationed by the military to ensure that they could still have enough food until it was harvest time.

And that… might take a long time.

Even with the wood element pouring their elements into the field, there were simply not enough for them to feed hundred thousands of people. This was what caused them to have to move around a lot and continued to do the work.

As wood element, Lotte also had to help. She had been running around a lot and felt happy when Kyle called them all, saying that General Ryan had a mission for their Black team.

“Black team?” Lucy was speechless when she heard the name of their team.

“Yeah, that’s the name captain picked.” Lotte also rubbed her head. “You know, I should have been present when they picked the name so that they can just pick a cooler name.”

Lucy was silent. Internally, she felt that she should be there too so that the name wouldn’t be so simple and tacky like this. They could easily remember the name since it was the same as color, but who in the world would actually pick the group name to be like this?

.....

Can’t they pick a cooler name?

“Meow.” <Forget it, I was there but I’m helpless to stop them>

Kate sighed deeply when she remembered the scene when Kyle just reported the name without asking for confirmation from the others first. It was clear that no matter what she did, Kyle would settle for the name anyway.

“What’s the mission anyway?” Lucy asked as she walked to the military compound.

After barely a week together, they all had found some common topics to talk with Lucy. In any case, they had to get used to see a somewhat petite woman carrying a boulder that was far bigger than her or even a car.

It was to the point that some males who used to be proud of their muscles shriek away. They were bigger and taller than her, but they were absolutely sure that they could never win against her even if it was raw strength contest.

Kate only looked at Lucy who show off her strength with rolling eyes.

If she was not that powerful as rank 5 enhancement awakened, then she would have wasted all of her training.

“Rescue mission.” General Ryan looked at the youngsters in front of him and then pointed at Lica beside him. “We got report that City F is attacked by a horde of giant mutated animals just last night. Because of the urgent situation, City E, which is located quite close is tasked to reinforce and rescue the people there.”

“City G and City H is not that far, right?” Kyle asked. He looked at Kate, who walked towards him and picked her up easily. Anyway, Kate had returned to her cat’s form again.

“City G is also destroyed by the horde of giant mutated animals.” General Ryan sighed when he thought of his old comrades there. He didn’t even know the condition of people who used to live in City G by now.

Kyle frowned. “I see.”

“Lica will be following you on your next mission.” General Ryan pointed at Lica. “She comes from City F and knows some of the secret areas there. In addition, there will be some gems that you might be able to find. Naturally, please left some for us.”

“We know.” They all smiled.

However, General Ryan glared at these youths in front of him. They were all of different elements and would definitely hoard those gems if they found it. After all, there was no way they would miss the chance to get stronger like this.

He couldn’t really stop them anyway.

“Alright, I have sent Kyle the map. You can go now.”

“That’s all?” Lucy was surprised when she saw General Ryan walked away.

Lotte nodded. “Don’t worry, Kyle will brief us about what we should avoid and many others on the way. By the way, do you think that our previous car could fit so many people?”

“We’ll be using military car.”

Hearing that, the others nodded.

Kate meowed. <I know, I know>

The military car appeared in front of them. Dylan and Lica were at the front while the rest sat at the back. Anyway, Dylan will be the driver while Lica will be the one to tell them the direction towards City F since she was more familiar with it.

Jake sat happily on the back. “Finally, I don’t need to be the one to drive the car! I can’t wait until we reach City F.”

“Can you two drive?” Kyle looked at Marc and Lucy, who were the two new members in their team.

“I can.” Lucy nodded. She already got her license not long before the matter of this damn mutation came out.

Marc shook his head. “I don’t know how to drive, but I can also point the direction towards City F.”

“You can?”

“Yeah, I went there for scholarship try back then and also some competition.” Marc nodded.

Lucy was shocked. “Damn! You must be a gifted student then. I’m usually at the middle in the class and without Kate helping me, I’ll never be able to pass.”

Kate: “…” that’s mostly because you’re lazy.

Knowing how much her best friend spent time to read those comics, she was not surprised that Lucy would be lagging in class. Thankfully, it was not too much and Kate could still help by giving some tuition from time to time.

Marc laughed. “Yeah, but there’s really no point in studying anymore.”

“If the matter of these giant mutated animals can be settled, schools and academy will definitely be open again.” Kyle looked at Marc. “Don’t underestimate the power of knowledge.”

Marc smiled but said nothing more to them.
