Chapter 151

151 Information about Blood Contract

“The power is the same rank?”

“No.” Marc shook his head. “I’m already rank 4, but when I use Robby’s ability, I can only use his ability up to rank 3 at most. There’s a limit to how much I can actually control his ability.

Perhaps, if I have more time to study, I will be able to control his element better. But I doubt it because no matter how much I tried to pull his power, it felt that I’ll be weaker than him because I’m just borrowing his power.”

Kyle nodded.

It would make more sense that they couldn’t fully control the power that was only borrowed to them. Anyway, with Marc’s words, Kyle also knew that the matter of blood contract was indeed something that was feasible to do.

But the downside was that they were not entirely clear about the side effect and whatsoever about it. If there were many other drawbacks in the future, he would have to bear the with the consequences.

It was risky.

“Anything else?”

“I don’t know, what else do you want to know?” Marc was perplexed.

.....

“I mean, anything else aside from transfer of power? How about thoughts, communication, or something like that?”

“I naturally can’t read Robby’s thoughts.” Marc laughed. For him to know what this dog was thinking, he believed that he would only hear about how hungry Robby was most of the time. After all, his dog was quite glutton.

As for communication. “I can understand his words now and could communicate through his language. It feels as if there’s a new language for me that I can use so I can speak with that words. But if I tried to speak it outside, I can only hear some weird hissing or whispering with weird words.”

This was something that Marc himself didn’t understand. When he spoke to Robby in front of others, they would think that he was hissing or whispering some kind of strange words. They couldn’t catch his words at all.

“Try?”

Marc looked at Kyle and nodded.

He was really whispering and hissing some words. But Kate understand his words perfectly because it was the same language as the one she had been using all this time. This made her feel that it was really interesting to be able to learn other people’s language through the blood contract.

“Meow.”

Kyle looked at Marc. That whispering and hissing was something he had heard before made by Lica and his uncle. Whenever the two of them wanted to speak about something that they didn’t want others to find out, the best way was for them to speak in this language.

How interesting.

“Can your dog speak human language?”

“Unfortunately... no.” Marc shook his head. He also felt regret at this point because he wanted his dog to be able to speak human words too. However, when he found out that he could at least communicate, he felt that it was not that bad.

“I see.”

Marc looked at Robby and thought about the blood contract again. “Also, I think you can’t break the blood contract once it’s made.”

“You can’t break the blood contract?” Kyle asked again.

“Yeah. It’s not like I have tried it, but I feel that the blood contract is connecting the two of us and there’s no way it can be severed. Even if Robby is far away from me, I can still sense his whereabouts and his current mood. Like happy, anxious, sad, angry, but I don’t know what he’s thinking.”

Kyle felt that this blood contract was indeed very amazing. Unfortunately, Marc himself was not clear about what Robby was doing when he bit his fingers. As for Robby?

He also didn’t know.

What Marc knew was that after entering that white world, he could speak with Robby inside his mind and formed that contract after agreeing to stay with each other. They would share their life together.

Their power, their lifespan, and their language.

“Maybe the researcher will know more than me since I’m sure that I’m not the only one who had made this blood contract.”

Kyle nodded. “Thank you for telling me so much.”

“Well, you saved my life.” Marc shrugged. He was glad that this group of people managed to find him before it was too late. If they were to come too late, he didn’t know what he was supposed to do anymore.

“Do you want to join our team?”

“Yes?” Marc was stunned. He had seen the power of Kyle and the others and the only thought he felt when he saw them was how ridiculous it was. He hadn’t seen Kyle made a move by himself and only Dylan who had been working all this time.

But from the way the others behaved, he could guess that the leader in this team was Kyle. Dylan himself was already rank 5 with how easily it was for him to control such a large amount of water, but if the boss is Kyle, it usually meant that Kyle must be stronger.

The subordinate was already rank 5.

How strong would the leader be?

Marc didn’t know, but he would never underestimate this man in front of him. Anyway, a person like him who was only at rank 4 would definitely not be able to match Kyle in the slightest bit even if he were to cooperate together with Robby.

“You don’t seem like a bad kid. Anyway, my team will need an earth element user because we don’t have complete elements here.” Kyle looked at Marc.

Marc thought for a moment. Who would have thought that just by sharing the matter of blood contract, Kyle would be willing to ask him to join this group?

“Alright, I’ll join your group.”

“Good. I’m of fire and thunder element, Jake is metal element, and Lotte is wind and wood element.” Kyle then patted the little cat in his arm. “She’s of space element.”

Marc was dumbstruck.

The next moment, all he could think was about how luxurious this lineup was. There were two dual elements here and there was almost no overlap of elements as long as he didn’t count his dog.

“Wang! Wang!”

“Robby felt happy to be of the same team now.” Marc laughed and patted his dog’s head. He looked at Kyle. “It’s nice working with you.”

“Likewise.”

The two of them returned to the others and Kyle told the matter simply to the other two. They were a bit surprised when they heard that Kyle actually asked a kid of unknown origin to join their group.

“I’m surprised you’re willing to trust that boy.” Jake was confused. “Isn’t today the first time you see him?”

“No, this is the second time.” Kyle glanced at Jake. “He toured to University A a few months ago and had the potential to be an exchange student.”

In other words: he’s smart.

Jake felt that those words were stabbing him in his heart. He had to admit that the only reason he could be in the same university with these two were because his parents opened a backdoor for him, but did they have to insert a knife again and again to him?

Not to mention that these two heartlessly left him when they became exchange students and then continued their study outside. He could only tag along as a useless young master who only knew how to waste money.

“That shouldn’t be the only reason, though?”

“Dylan had already investigated him before due to his mother’s request.” Kyle shook his head. “He’s an orphan boy who had been helped by the nation to finish his study. In order to be able to enter the university, he relied on the scholarship.”

Scholarship.

Jake sighed deeply whenever he heard this word. Only the Heaven knew how much he envied these two when his parents bragged about how Kyle and Dylan always had good grades and even obtained scholarship while he had to enter through back door.

“Anything special?”

“None.” Dylan glanced at Jake.” Poor and bullied.”

Jake: “...” you’re saying that the real reason why you investigated him was because he was so poor that he was being bullied by your cousin sister a lot, isn’t it?

Considering Hailey personality, Jake was not too surprised when he heard that Hailey bullied the young boy. That girl was so proud of her rich background and even now had that somewhat conceited appearance whenever she was talking about this matter.

But now that things had changed, Hailey would need to change the way she saw the world or she would never be able to survive. Her family is no longer a big overlord that could watch over the entire world without any problem.

There is sky above the sky.

There will always be someone better.

“I still can’t understand how the two of you come from the same family.”
