72 Entering City B

Kate: “...”

She pushed Kyle’s hand away and looked outside once more. She refused to be treated like a little kid!

Kyle was amused but didn’t force this stubborn little cat and instead looked outside. There were several cars parked outside and it seemed that these ordinary people were trying to find someone around them who had awakened so that they would be allowed to enter City B.

City B might be a military city that prioritized the people, but they definitely couldn’t open the door for everyone.

After all, City B had limited space.

It was impossible for them to allow everyone who came to enter City B and stayed there.

The people from the car had to come out and Kate sneaked into Kyle’s pocket jacket once more. She didn’t want to see these soldiers.

The soldiers take out a strange device that looked like stick that was used in the mall and scanned their body by swinging that stick like device in front of them. The process was surprisingly so simple.

It was so simple that Jake was bewildered.

“I thought that we might have to strip and then checked thoroughly.”

“You.” Dylan pointed at Jake.

“I don’t want to!” Jake rolled his eyes and glared at Dylan. If it was unnecessary, why should he bother to even make things difficult for himself?

He was not so stupid.

Kyle shook his head and patted Kate’s head lightly. This heartless little cat was still hiding even when the soldiers had finished their inspection. Did she want to stay there forever?

“Professor Kyle!”

“Professor Kyle!”

Several people were shouting.

Kyle raised his head and saw several dirty youngsters were calling him. He blinked his eyes and then turned to look at Jake and Dylan. If he had to say the truth, he didn’t remember those youngsters at all.

“You’re such a popular professor,” Jake commented.

Dylan nodded.

“They’re only here because they know that I can enter.” Kyle shook his head and paid more attention to the soldiers who had finally finished checking the people who came with Dylan.

Dr. Dall snickered. “Who actually want to become a professor?”

“I think that it’s because a certain doctor is suggesting it to my father.” Kyle narrowed his eyes towards Dr. Dall.

At that sentence, Dr. Dall wisely shut up. He didn’t want to end up being pranked by Kyle in front of Kyle’s father. That would be the end of his life and perhaps would begin his suffering.

“Meow?”

Kate was now a bit curious as to why Kyle would end up being the professor in her faculty. It seemed that he was not completely willing to become a professor and might have been pushed forward.

Hmm, she smelled gossips.

“Alright, there’s no mutated substance found. We will need to know how many people are you going to bring inside and whether you’re an awakened or perhaps a citizen of City B?”

Kyle thought of his ID and shook his head. “I’m an awakened, bringing one person with me.”

He pointed at Dr. Dall.

Dylan nodded. “Me too, bringing two people.”

Kate’s parents were not that willing to show their ability, so they will just be brought inside by Dylan. Anyway, Dylan would never use this chance to bring anyone else in the future.

Jake also an awakened and only bring himself.

The bodyguards behind had already ensured that the two quotas were enough for them to bring their family members. Thankfully, some of their family members also awakened, so they could bring everyone inside.

He heard some people were calling out, so he guessed that there might be some of their acquaintance out there.

Kyle didn’t even bother to look at the eyes of the students and shook his head. “No need.”

“Alright.”

The students were dejected.

They fled from City A to City in hope that they would be able to live in a safer location. But who would have thought that they couldn’t even enter City B?

Now, they have to wait outside?
