Chapter 44: Outside the City

“Kyle, you can see outside now.” Jake felt his scalp turned numb just a few minutes after they got out of the city.

Who would have thought that the area outside their city had completely turned into a wild jungle of survival?

There were so many animals out there who could kill them.

“MEOW?”

Kate was stunned when she moved her eyes to the window. Seeing the giants lizards on the tree, some giants squirrels fighting with each other, giant rabbits hopping between the trees, and then some giant snakes slithering by the road in front of them...

ARE YOU SURE THAT YOU’RE IN REALITY?

Kate nearly collapsed.

.....

On the other hand, Kyle’s expression was extremely serious. He looked outside and understood why the soldiers were originally very unwilling to let them come out.

But well, they were here to test their capabilities.

“Are you ready?” Kyle asked.

“Hehehe, of course. I already brought a lot of scrap metals. Little Kitty, help brother Jake to fight by taking out those metals, alright?”

Kate rolled her eyes.

In order to fight better, Jake required a lot of metals. This was the reason why he dumped a lot of them and asked Kate to keep them inside her space. There were of various sizes and some had even been modified with Jake’s ability.

Her tails moved left and right before several items appeared outside the car.

“That’s my girl!” Jake yelled happily and then waved his hand. These oddly shaped items were suddenly thrown towards the body of the snake that was in front of them, cutting it into two directly.

Slash!

Kate blinked her eyes. From this position, she couldn’t see the scene directly, which she herself didn’t mind.

Even though she had been tempered for a long time by following this group chasing after those rats, Kate knew that she still didn’t like to see any gory sight. It would be better for her to stay here.

“Water,” Dylan said lightly.

“Meow.”

Just like Jake, Dylan’s ability was to control water and not to create water out of nowhere. They definitely could create metal and water, but the amount was so pitifully small even though they had reached rank 3.

Thus, they came into consensus that they had to carry their own supplies.

Carrying so much water and metals were naturally a problem, so this problem was directly dumped to Kate. She truly became their personal backpack carrier, though Kate didn’t exactly mind that much.

At the very least, she was not staying in their place for free.

She’s helping them.

Not in the battle, but in terms of carrying supplies.

Oh well.

Splash!

Water appeared outside and Dylan directly controlled them and used it towards several areas on the trees nearby into water cutter.

Slash! Slash! Slash! Slash!

Countless giant rabbits, giant squirrels, and some other animals that they could see all dropped dead.

“I’ll take the crystals.” Jake walked out of the car while Dylan switched towards the driver seat. Since the one who will gather crystal was Jake, he will be prepared for them to run away should it be necessary.
