Chapter 4: The son of Destiny felt green all over!

Jiang Wenying looked at Lu Fei, who was suddenly stunned in place, somewhat puzzled.

But in the next moment, she felt that the current Lu Fei seemed to be a bit different from before.

“Don’t just stand there, let’s go!”

Lu Fei looked up at Jiang Wenying, who was staring at him and spoke.

Jiang Wenying, who suddenly snapped out of it, quickly regained her nonchalant demeanor and stepped forward with her slender legs.

But secretly, she kept calming down her nervousness, which almost gave her away.

What was wrong with her? How could she suddenly be stunned by a man?

This did not fit her personality at all!

She shook off the random thoughts in her mind and followed Lu Fei down the stairs.

Walking ahead, Lu Fei suddenly remembered something.

Although he had changed some of the plots, the subsequent plot would still continue to unfold.

According to the plot, Lu Fei remembered that it was time for the male protagonist to appear.

As he walked down the stairs, Lu Fei’s mind was constantly filled with background information about the male protagonist.

-Lin Ran.

He was a young master of the Lin family in Binjiang City. Although the Lin family was considered a leading family in Binjiang City, they were far from being as prominent as compared to the top families in Shanghai. 

They were more like a second or third-rate family.

He was taken in as an apprentice by a master at a young age and practiced medicine. He had incredible medical skills and was also a formidable fighter. He could easily take on three to five ordinary special forces soldiers.

This setting was very similar to the plot of a master returning from seclusion.

And from tonight onwards, Lin Ran would be in the sight of major forces, embarking on his journey of counter-attacking life.

Just as he had descended the stairs, before Lu Fei and Jiang Wenying had even separated, they heard a shout from the entrance.

“Wenying, are you okay?”

“Don’t be afraid, with me here, no one will dare to lay a finger on you!”

Lin Ran strode towards them with an imposing manner and his eyes almost spitting fire.

He had just arrived at this five-star hotel, and before he had even entered, he saw the woman who was almost his intended target walking with a handsome man. 

This made Lin Ran feel like his blood was boiling and his head was filled with an endless expanse of grassland.

Upon hearing Lin Ran’s voice, Jiang Wenying stopped in her tracks, furrowing her brows slightly with a hint of dissatisfaction in her eyes.

She spoke with a distant tone,

“Mr. Lin, please just call me by my name. We’re not close enough to use such a familiar form of address.”

“If people misunderstand, it’s not good for either of us!”

Lin Ran stood there with an embarrassed look on his face.

He didn’t expect that he would receive such a response after going through all the trouble of coming from so far away to save her.

Suddenly, Lin Ran’s gaze turned to Lu Fei, who was standing next to Jiang Wenying and stared at him with a resentful expression.

He had witnessed Jiang Wenying, who was usually cold and aloof in public, walking so closely with a stranger in the hotel. Could this guy be the one who was plotting against Jiang Wenying?

Thinking of this, Lin Ran put on a sincere and affectionate expression, looking at Jiang Wenying and saying,

“Is it this guy who wants to harm you? Don’t worry, I won’t let him get away with it!”

Upon hearing Lin Ran’s words, Jiang Wenying felt a bit uneasy in her heart, her face flashing a hint of awkwardness.

After all, she had only recently made those embarrassing sounds in front of Lu Fei.

Although she knew that it was all just acting, she still couldn’t help but feel a little embarrassed.

But soon, Jiang Wenying regained her composure and said,

“I don’t know him, we just happened to run into each other.”

To avoid any further trouble, Jiang Wenying chose to conceal the fact that she knew Lu Fei.

But who is Lin Ran?

Jiang Wenying noticed Lin Ran’s incredulous gaze and felt disgusted, thinking that he was also a hypocritical man who put on a false front. 

People like him were among the ones she despised the most.

She said to Lin Ran in a cold tone, 

“Mr. Lin, we’ve only met a few times. I hope you will behave yourself and not cause any misunderstandings.”

With that, Jiang Wenying didn’t want to linger in the lobby any longer as she was feeling tired. 

The effects of the drug in her body had not completely dissipated, making her mentally weak.

Lost in thought, she didn’t see the path beneath her feet and was about to fall when Lu Fei instinctively held her willow waist, preventing her from being scared and losing her beautiful expression or accidentally hitting the ground.

“Be careful not to fall!” he said.

Feeling her earlobes tickling, Jiang Wenying’s mind went into disarray.

Panicking, she steadied herself and regained her composure.

“Thank you!”

Forcing herself to calm down, she thanked him and left, her high heels clicking against the floor.

But in Lin Ran’s eyes, this scene ignited his emotions and he glared angrily at Lu Fei.
