Chapter 129

[Kayda Pov]

“Ah, I want one of these.” The bunny girl, named Nix, said happily, inspecting the jail cell Kitsu made.

“I don’t know about that,” I said, tilting my head looking at the wall.

“Oh, come on. It is made out of magic. Can’t she just make one for the military as well?” Nix said, getting up to my face.

“You will need to ask her,” I said, pointing upwards towards Kitsu while stepping back.

“Hmm, that’s structure up there looks dangerous. I might talk to her afterwards rather.” Nix said happily, tying the prisoners in the cell.

“Bitch, you are hurting me.” The prisoner Nix was busy with yelled trying to spit on Nix behind him.

“Oh, says the one who raped a teenager to death shit up,” Nix said, glaring at him.

.....

“She loved it, and you know it. Don’t you remember her face? Ah, you know what? I will forgive you if we-Augh!” the man started to say with a lust full gaze, looking at Nix only to lose his jaw.

“I guess you die first,” Nix said, throwing his jaw onto the ground before grabbing his head, smashing it into the ground, killing him.

“Hmm, you have a temperament on you, but please don’t kill more we might need them,” I said with a small chuckle.

‘Luckily, she got to him first. if Kitsu knew, he would have begged for death.’ I thought, looking at the corpse.

“I am not like the other rabbit demis. I don’t take shit lying down.” She said, glaring at the corpse.

“Hmm, that’s not too rare, though. I have met a few rabbit demis that have a character like you.” I said, shrugging, surprising her.

“... you have,” Nix said, stunned.

“Yes, Kitsu actually has one in her personal squad at the moment. Though she is way too weak to do anything at the moment.” I said, nodding with a thoughtful expression remembering how kitsu found Nekro.

“How interesting.” Nix hummed, looking at me with sparkly eyes.

“Well, anyway, let’s get this started, shall we,” I said, turning around and walking out of the jail cell towards the fortress not wanting to talk with her after seeing her expression.

“Finally, I was getting bored just standing here and watching.” One of the adventures from the side said, leaning against the tower.

“Hmm, jerry? Are you so eager to get killed?” The guild master said, walking up to him hitting him over the head.

“Ha-ha, come on, guild master, is it wrong to make some jokes. Every one of us is nervous. That black fire is as eerie as it gets, you know.” Jerry said, jogging away laughing. Even though he was laughing, you could see he was in pain after the guild master smacked him.

“That brat.” The guild muster mumbled, grinding his teeth.

“Let him be. Even I am nervous.” I said, shrugging. It wasn’t a lie, though. I really was nervous. This will be the first time for me to deal with true devils personally. I have met some creatures with devil powers but never have I been in a situation like this.

“Sigh, true, we all are nervous,” Nix said, walking next to me.

“Well, send them in then,” I said, gesturing toward the prisoners.

“Okay!” Nix said, visually getting excited.

“You sound so happy,” I mumbled, feeling a bit off with her reaction.

“... I am interested in how it will happen,” Nix said, looking at the burning fortress, referring to how the prisoners’ souls will be extracted from their bodies.

Nodding, she went back to the cell. Not long after, she returned, walking next to me again, but this time with a prisoner in hand.

“Same here,” I mumbled before picking up one of the criminals and jumping into the air.

“I am getting tired of waiting,” I said, coming to a stop above the burning fortress.

“I agree. I just wish this day would end.” the guy in my hand said, shrugging.

“Well, it’s close to being night, but you won’t be seeing it,” I said, seeing it was only a few hours until the sun set.

“True cheers, dragon woman.” The man said just before I dropped him into the fortress.

“Sigh, I am surprised he isn’t showing any fear. Well, whatever, nothing to worry about.” I said, looking at his body falling into the flames.

“Raaooor!!!!” An unrealistic and horrifying roar came out of nowhere, sending a chill does mine and everyone’s spines inducing fear into everyone present.

“Shit, which scares the shit out of me,” I said, flying backwards, making distance from the fortress.

“Get ready, everyone. It’s starting!!” I heard the guild master yell.

“Sreeeek!!”

“Sreekk!!”

Just then, Multiple screeching cries came out of the fortress with the ground around it being lifted by transparent black hands coming out the ground.

“So that’s devil thrall?” I said, looking at them weirdly. They weren’t strong like it was apparent, but their numbers were insane. It has only been a few seconds since the summoning was activated, but there was more than 100 of them.

“Well, let us see how easy it is to kill them,” I said, cracking my knuckles.

Zap!

Before I could use a spell, I heard zapping sounds under me. Looking towards the direction, I felt my eyes widen in shock.

The fence Kitsu made with her lightning being channelled through it was demolishing the thralls. Just when a thrall gets a meter away from the fence, it gets zapped and killed instantly. It was actually funny how it happened.

“Hmm, it seems the adventures already realized how effective the fence is,” I said, looking around at all the adventures who hadn’t even started lifting a finger to stop the thralls.

“That’s not good. The thrall might break down the durability of the fence.”

“Oi, you fucken shit bags!! Start using your fucken magic. My fence isn’t going to do all your fucken work!!” I heard Kitsu suddenly shout on top of her lungs from her tower.

“Wow, to think she can be that loud,” I said, surprised.

“Pah like she can-Boom!” One of my adventures started saying before Kitsu shot her rail gun into the fortress, destroying it even more.

“I am fucken watching you!!”

“She really sounds annoyed. Can’t blame her, though.” I said before making a couple of scorch balls around me. When that was done, the 4 scorch balls started shooting small lasers out of them to kill thralls.

“Skreeek!!”

“Hmm, another sort of cry?” I said, putting my attention on the fortress again.

“... Wow, which is-”

Boom!

“Dead.” After witnessing a shrieker come out of the summoning, I said before getting absolutely demolished by Kitsu’ rail gun.

“Oi fucken dog, get your people to carry their weight. I am not working for free!!” I heard Kitsu yell again.

“What is going on that side for her to be so angry,” I said, moving to the side where I could see better. I realized that the Kitsu side is getting way more thralls than this side.

“Weird? Is it because that side has-”

Boom!

“Has more firepower?” I said while Kitsu shot another railgun bullet at a shrieker coming out of the summoning.

“Brat, call me dog again, and I will rip-”

Bang!

“Argh!!!” The guild master said before being interrupted with a gunshot going through his dog ear.

“Shut the fuck up and work!” Kitsu yelled, aiming at him from atop of the tower.

Ring.

‘Getting a call now?’ I thought, taking out my scroll seeing an unknown number calling me.

“Kayda-”

“Don’t even think about getting me involved. Just get your adventures to work properly, and all is good, okay.” I said, interrupting the guild master before ending the call.

“Hmm, let’s see why she is so annoyed,” I said, looking at the fence on their side, starting to fuzz out be use it isn’t getting enough mana.

“Sigh, guess I have to help,” I mumbled disappointedly before flying to each mana conductor, putting enough mana into it that will keep it going for quite some time.

“Kayda!” Kitsu shouted, probably seeing me using my mana.

“Yo, something wrong?” I said, landing next to the fox.

“A lot, but are you still fine using all your mana like this? I know you still have some scorch balls on the other side using your mana, and now this as well. Do you need to rest? I can go to the other side for the time being?” Kitsu said worriedly, probably trying to use her analysed skill on me.

“Woah Woah, hold your horses. I am fine. My mana regeneration can manage this much,” I said, smiling happily.

“Yeah, but we might go on for quite some time.”

“True, then I will tell you when I need rest, okay.”

“Uh, please do,” Kitsu said, nodding looking back at the battlefield.

.....

‘It’s a surprise she is so worried about me and supper cute.’ I thought, pitting my hand on my cheeks smiling while looking at the back of Kitsu.

“Well, see you later,” I said, tapping her shoulder before starting to flap my wings.

“Be careful.”

“Same to you,” I said with a smile before flying back to the other side.
