Chapter 189 Hidden Power

"I knew that defeating them wouldn't be easy, but…" Aion thought while he was running away from those three again. "Even when they want to sacrifice each other for the win, they have a weird synergy."

Maybe Aion could try to finish that sooner, but he had to wait for his bones to mend, at least. His mother told him how to focus on certain aspects of the healing magic to make it more effective, but even so, everything has limits.

"I guess this is another good lesson for me… don't use your dominant arm like shit, you dumbass," Aion thought. "I need to be more wary of this kind of thing in the future..."

"You look pissed, is the pain in your arm still a problem?" Seris asked. "I was planning to enhance your whole speed to deal with them as fast as possible, but…"

"It is fine. I just need some time," Aion said. "We don't need to hurry. We just need to tire them out, all of the pursuers, and then we will win this."

"I don't think it will be that easy… the generals also are mutated people. They have abilities that enhance their natural strength," Sauros said.

Aion forgot about that… he totally forgot to consider that since he had so many things on his mind. The battlefield was the perfect place for people to awaken that kind of power, training was useful for people to improve certain skills, but a lot of people can only show progress while they are really fighting.

Those three together already were a problem… Aion had to deal with them before they could use the skills that they had obtained. Those three generals began to chase Aion's group again, and the ax general seemed even more pissed than before. He got kicked in the face, and that probably would annoy the most prideful of the enemies.

All of a sudden, the ax general threw his weapon at Aion, and he barely had the chance to turn around and block it. When he thought of sending the weapon to his inventory, the general approached instantly and punched him in the gut. Aion felt that… his body was paralyzed for a moment since that class had close to zero endurance.

In that short window of time, the general picked up his weapon and then swung it to behead Aion. However, Seris touched his shoulder, and then his speed increased to lower his stance and then aim his weapon at the enemy's head. However, the whip general went for Aion's eyes with her weapon, and the swordsman attacked him from the other side.

Sauros threw a rock in the middle of the group that turned into sand and blinded them, and he also pulled Aion by the collar, who had planned to follow his attack anyway. Under normal circumstances, he would have pulled that off, but the pain he felt by blocking the throw and the attack on the gut dulled his speed, and he didn't notice that.

"You are more hot-blooded than you look like," Sauros said. "Didn't you just say that we need to be a bit patient? The backup of the pursuers is decreasing in number every minute."

They had been running for a while, so Aion confirmed that… moreover, they were faster than horses under normal circumstances. So, most people couldn't follow them.

"Be patient. I have an idea of how to deal with them all at once," Sauros said. "We just need to be sure that no one is around to bother us when the time comes."

Aion nodded and then changed to the Guardian Class. Everyone around frowned when the spear suddenly became two objects. That was beyond anything they had seen until now… that wasn't supposed to be weird since Sauros and Seris saw the bow and the quiver appearing together.

The ax general threw his weapon again, but he had sensed that Aion was about to do something, so he charged at the same time. In the end, Aion turned around to block the weapon, and then he used Shield Swing to move it to the side and block the enemy's punch. The impact of both attacks pushed those two away from each other.

The generals noticed that the power and sharpness of the skill had been a lot better than before, and they realized that it was due to the fact that Aion used his left arm. They recalled that Aion's previous punch had been landed with his right arm… his movements were slugging on the right side… he was wounded there.

When the enemies noticed that, they prepared themselves to take advantage of it. The ax general, while dashing at Aion, changed his posture and moved his great ax to his left side, and then swung his weapon horizontally. Aion moved his body to block the attack with the shield, but the enemy still managed to make him groan in pain due to the vibration alone…

"Urgh…" Aion grunted. "Full swing attacks sure are bothersome."

The other two generals kept their distance and let the axe general attack Aion freely. They were starting to get away from Seris and Sauros, but then Aion jumped slightly when another attack came. The full power of the enemy sent Aion flying, and he landed in front of his allies. His arms didn't absorb the impact that well, but it couldn't have been helped…

"Those attacks aren't going to help your wounds… I will distract them with these diversions," Sauros said with some rocks in his hands.

Before Aion could say anything, the ax general charged again, and then Sauros threw a rock at him. He blocked it with his ax, but the sand still got on his face and forced him to retreat. The same thing happened several times… until the ax general snapped. When the general charged again, Sauros used another rock, but he didn't try to block this time, and when it touched his face, it flew back at Sauros…
