Chapter 3 Like A Rabbit

A few more days passed, and Aion realized that his mother's health was improving… he wondered if it was because of his soul in that body, but her pregnancy had some problems that messed with her health. Still, she was getting better with each passing day.

Two months after his reincarnation, Aion finally saw a man wearing armor entering the room. It was hard to be sure, but it was probably his father… not even the most insane man would let another man in the room where his wife or perhaps one of his wives lived after months, and he left her almost alone.

In any case, his attitude bothered Aion more than a little bit, he looked like someone that made others respect him naturally, but he didn't even say a single greeting to Aion's mother after who knows how long he had seen her… he just stared at Aion for a few minutes. Aion wanted to stare back, but it was hard to look imposing when he couldn't even take a dump on his own.

In any case, his father was of strong build and had dark hair and brown eyes. With his serious face, he probably could make some woman to wish for his naked body, but Aion had been weel-built in his previous life. In his new one, he would rather have the physical traits of his mother. Muscles could be obtained with hard work, but being pretty like that was for a lucky few. The only downside was the fact that she didn't look that strong like his father.

"What are you looking at, bruh?" Aion thought. "You may have a sword and armor, but I bet you can't withstand the smell of the shit of a newborn."

Aion wanted to say a few things to his new father and correct his way, but nothing but 'ah' 'dabuh' would come, so he decided to stay quiet. Still, the appearance of his father confirmed that Aion wasn't on Earth. In the end, Aion's father left after a long sigh. He assumed that Aion was weak for whatever reason. Some people say that children that cause a lot of problems in their first years grow strong and healthy, after all.

"This is disappointing… I never met my first father, but everything I knew about him made me think that he was a hero, but this guy here…" Aion thought. "He needed to have his ways corrected, he doesn't look old, so it must be because of the audacity of his youth. Even so, I can't forgive him for treating my new mother like this…"

It seemed that Aion was born into a family with some difficult circumstances. He couldn't do much about that, so he decided to focus on the things he could, which was mainly the system.

When his mother was sleeping, Aion decided to check that. Using the system could be done just with his thought, and the most important thing was the fact that he had to select one of the spheres before anything could be checked or used. When Aion selected the Paladin sphere, a short sword and shield appeared above him and then fell on his chest. Fortunately, he didn't feel any weight on them, so he didn't get hurt. The weird thing was that they had a silver-like color and had some emblems on the borders. Another odd thing was the fact that they came from… He had no idea.

That was a lot of stuff… So, Aion blinked several times in surprise while looking at that. Still, after a few days, he understood the basics. That system was more complex than others, but the basic functions were the same. The spheres represented classes that he could choose, the classes could level up separately, and he could gain points and make different builds for the classes. He also could reset them in order to use the bonuses of the classes in different ways. For every point into strength and endurance, his health would increase by two, for every point into speed and dexterity, his stamina would increase by two. Finally for each point into magic and resistance, his mana would increase by two.

He also could transfer the experience and proficiency points from one class to the others, but Aion assumed that it would be better for him to level them up separately. Still, most of the things that were possible were beyond his body. For now, the only thing he could do with that system was to select the Mage class and then use Meditation. The only problem was that he had to select the right class to use certain skills, but he could make their weapons disappear at will.

"I suppose I can gain experience by fighting and training, but before I can do any of that, I should split the experience obtained while meditating," Aion thought.

Aion didn't have much to do, so it would be fine to use Meditation as much as possible. On the first day, the Mage Class leveled up, and he gained five points to allocate in that class. At the same time, his skills obtained three improvement points. When he checked what he could do, he saw that he could increase the effect of his skill. The mage class's active skill was Fireball; he could increase its power and speed or decrease the cost. As for Meditation, he could increase its effectiveness or his bonuses.

"The good thing about this is that I can reset the builds of all classes once per day so that I will have a lot of room for experimentation," Aion thought. "I don't need to use Fireball, and it isn't like increasing the effectiveness of Meditation will make me level up the class faster… or maybe it will, I don't know. Time to experiment."

Meditation at level one made Aion recover one point of mana per second. Since the skill increased by one point, the recovery also increased by one point. With each level of effectiveness, it increased by thirty percent… It seems that once he can use magic, he will have a lot of room to train it as well.

Time passed, and when Aion was three months old, his mother began to take him for walks around that room. It was only natural that children should take a sunbath now and then… in any case, while his father wasn't someone that he could hold in his regard, he sure had a big house. While Aion and his mother lived on the extreme left side, they still had to walk for two hundred meters to reach the central area and the garden. The sun was just rising, so few people in the mansion were awake. Most of them were servants.

"I guess my new mother wants to avoid meeting someone. Could it be that guy?" Aion wondered.

It would be really troublesome if Aion had been born in some troublesome circumstances like he were the result of his father skirt chasing and he already had a wife… but he had a feeling that his mother was too high class to be a courtesan or the result of a single nightstand.

Regardless, while Aion's mother was looking at the flowers in the garden, he looked at the house behind her and then found that it had three floors and too many windows… he assumed that a lot of people lived there… he confirmed that after a while when he saw his father leaving the house alongside four boys and all of them were armed wooden shields and swords.

"He is so young and already has five sons?" Aion asked. "Does that guy have an urge to take out his pants whenever he finds a pretty lady? I wonder if I have inherited his lady killer genes."
