CH 25

I brush my teeth and get ready for bed, ready to go to sleep at any time. Leaning all my weight on the couch, I bite back a yawn, and tears fall from my eyes.

I watched the peaceful news again today, half asleep. Of course, the beautiful girl beside me is no exception to the attack of sleepiness.

“As expected, I’m getting sleepy already, Sagami… ”

She says so, then she covers her mouth with her hand and yawns. I thought it was cute and looked at her, but she turned her head away from me a little shyly.

I shake my head vertically to congratulate myself on my efforts, thinking it’s a good thing that I’m feeling less nervous.

“That’s because you barely slept last night, right? You were so stubborn. How’s that? Are you ready for bed? ”

“If you say you won’t touch me, I’ll sleep with you… ”

“Then let’s sleep! Let’s go to bed right now! ”

Saying this, I take Shino-chan’s hand, who looks sleepy. She does not resist me much, perhaps because she is sleepy. Shino-chan seemed to have become an infant at my mercy.

“Bed! Go! ”

When I say so, she jumps into the bed, then rolls around and smiles at me.

“Fluffy, Sagami! I haven’t had a bed like this for a long time.”

“Well, I’m always sleeping on it, so I don’t really appreciate it, I guess? ”

“This is the level of bowing down on our knees to the creator. I’m going to fall asleep soon. Turn off the light.”

Shino-chan, who is wrapped in a quilt, orders me to turn off the light. Unfortunately, this is the last time I see Shino-chan in her pajamas in the light.

Well, she’s just wearing my pajamas. Next time I’ll take her to buy her own clothes.

“Can’t we make out a little more before bed? ”

“I guess the stupid Sagami is trying to do what he’s supposed to do in this atmosphere? It’s too naughty.”

“Oh, you got me. Then I’ll turn off the light.”

I turn off the light with a snap. Shino-chan is an idiot. The dark is my field. Do you know how long I’ve been fighting in the dark?

With or without lights, I can almost see. I’ll do whatever I want with a defenseless Shino-chan who can’t use her eyes.

I ninja-walk up to Shino-chan and try to take her hand, but my outstretched hand is snapped away.

“I used to be good in the dark, too, you know? That’s too bad.”

” …No. I’m not trying to do anything.”

“No? Well, good night.”

With that, I slide into bed where Shino-chan is waiting for me with her eyes closed. I am mildly touched by the warmth of the covers, which are different from usual.

Shino-chan whispers into my ear in bed.

“Will you hold my hand? Sagami.”

“Shall we hold hands? Do you want to calm down? Okay.”

“Well, maybe just a little.”

“Okay. Let’s talk a little bit.”

“Just till we fall asleep, okay?”

We stay up late, talking about meaningless stuff, just like on a school trip.
