Hugo was taken aback. His memories weren’t whole, and it felt as if pieces of the puzzle went missing. He had memories he could recall and memories he couldn’t. Despite this, he knew about Hailey’s existence.

So, he asked, “Why are you here, Hailey?”

The masked Hailey flinched. “No! I’m not Hailey! I am Black Scorpion...!”

“Hey, if you plan on hiding your identity, you should change your name. Scorpion? Why are you acting this way?”

“No. That is…” Hailey discreetly surveyed her surroundings. 

Hugo’s eyes turned round when he realized something. “Did you come chasing after Gun?”

It was as he had expected. Hailey started to sweat as she fixed her mask. “That is… Lee Gun was adamant when he said I shouldn’t come here. What would happen if he finds out that I’m here? That’s why I’m not Hailey right now. Do you understand?”

She was persistent, but no one in the world looked like her. She could be no one else…

‘No. That’s not important right now.’

“What are you doing in the Divine world? Aren’t you natural enemies with the gods? You’re a monarch!”

“What do you mean I’m a monarch?”

Surprised, Hailey looked around at her surroundings. Her subordinates seemed to have said some unnecessary things while she was absent.

When Hugo looked at her in an inquiring manner, Hailey furrowed her brows. “They probably won’t recognize me, but in the distant past, the monarchs attacked the Divine world. I entered the Divine world and destroyed this place.”

“Destroyed?”

“Well, our actions caused the population of the Divine world to drop by two-thirds. The Divine world was sent into the dark ages for a hundred years… Oh well! I’m here because I was worried about Lee Gun. I won’t do anything this time. Don’t worry too much about it!”

Hugo’s eyes turned round. That wasn’t what he had expected. Since Hailey was the natural enemy of the gods, he had worried they would attack her.

‘If that’s the case, shouldn’t I be aggressively asking for her help?’

Hugo quickly grabbed her. “Hailey! Help me! I have to take back my Divine status from him!”

“What? Divine status?”

Ares appeared once again, bleeding because of the spear Hailey threw. “Damn it! What’s up with that woman?”

A violent expression appeared on his face as he approached them.

Hugo, who had been attacked by Ares until this moment, froze.

Hailey furrowed her brows. “Now that I think about it, you lost your Divine status. Did that barbarian do it?”

“No. The goddess of fate stole it, but… Anyway, the extracted Divine status is inside the inner room! This bastard has the key to the room! I’m not sure if we can take it from him—”

“You’re a mere human, yet you talk about Divine status!” Ares cut off Hugo.

Powerful lightning fell all around him. Red light sparked like lightning. It was Ares’s Divine power, which paralyzed Hugo.

“How dare a sack of flesh like you even dare get involved in our matters! This place is the tower for the exalted gods. Know your place.”

“As a mere human, you merely acquired one Divine status. Did you really think that’ll put you on the same footing as the gods?”

Ares instantly appeared in front of them. He raised his Divine power as if he found them feeble. “A sack of flesh from the colonies should know your place!”

Finally, his greatsword fell toward their heads.

Hugo gritted his teeth. It seemed they wouldn’t last long enough for Lee Gun to get there.

Suddenly, the falling greatsword stalled in the air.

Ares was surprised.

Hailey had blocked the falling sword and that too with only one hand!

Ares tried to push her down with strength, but Hailey merely smirked. “Your attack is light. It’s like being attacked by a baby.”

“?!”

Ares flinched when he saw the eyes behind her mask. The reason was the menacing magical energy his opponent emanated. Her pupils narrowed like a carnivore!

‘This bitch!’

He was sure of it. She was a monster from the unknown civilization! Moreover, she wasn’t an ordinary one.

Ares ground his teeth. Since Pushover knew her, there was a high probability that she was a friend of the snake god. This left him dumbfounded. What did that snake god bring into the Divine world?

Ares quickly tried to take back his blade, but he couldn’t dislodge it.

Hailey’s smile was cold. “From the looks of it, you seem to be a baby god. You inherited your power not too long ago.”

“…!”

“You should either unseal your abilities or get rid of your cheap weapons. If not…”

“!”

“You will become food.”

The next second, Ares’s weapon broke.

Are looked at Hailey, flabbergasted. He was sure of it! Pupils like that didn’t exist amongst gods, and her magical energy gave it away!

“This is nuts. Why is a monarch— Kuh-huhk!”

Hailey immediately struck Ares’s solar plexus.

However, he was called the god of war for a reason. He retreated as he tried to keep his body out of harm's way.

‘Damn it! The battle isn’t important right now. I have to tell everyone that someone from the unknown civilization snuck in—!’

But as if she had read Ares’s thoughts, Hailey ruthlessly sent her fist flying.

Suddenly, hearing Lee Gun’s voice, Hailey got scared out of her wits.

Hugo turned to look at Lee Gun as if to greet him. 

Lee Gun tilted his head in puzzlement as he looked at the fallen god of war. “What the hell? Who did this?”

“What? Can’t you see? Who else do you think…” Hugo’s eyes turned round when he turned his gaze.

Hailey, who had been here until a moment ago, was gone. “What the hell? Where did she go???”

“What are you doing? Were you having a dream?”

“No. Hailey was…” Hugo was about to say Hailey was here, but he was surprised. The reason was the woman following Lee Gun. “That person is…?”

Did Miss Yeonwoo chase after Lee Gun?

Yeonwoo flinched at the questioning gaze. She shouted, “Ahhk, friend of the snake god, do not be surprised! I’m not Yeonwoo! I’m called the Snake Mask…!!”

Lee Gun clicked his tongue as he headed toward Ares. The culprit seemed to have purposefully erased her presence, but he had a good idea as to who had done this. However, that wasn’t important right now.

It seemed those damn bastards had felt their presence.

Lee Gun suddenly turned to grab Hugo’s shoulder. “Look at this, Taeksoo. Isn’t it awesome?”

Hugo’s eyes turned round when Lee Gun brought out a bow. “That is…!”

“I made it on the earth. I did it while thinking about my only friend. I hope you like it.”

Hugo looked moved.

Hugo was so moved that he extended his hand. “Thank you, Gun. I’ll use it well—”

As soon as his Divine power was recharged, Lee Gun imbued the bow with Divine power and ruthlessly beat up Ares. It seemed he had never planned on giving the bow to Hugo.

Pillar gods rushed into the castle. They were the ones who had gotten injured by the explosion. However, they seemed to have been healed, as they had been cleaned up quite a bit.

Lee Gun, who was drenched in the blood of gods, crushed Ares’s head with the bow.

“You guys are next.”

“What a psycho!”

Soon, Poseidon’s eyes flashed. Water-shaped horses attacked Lee Gun from all over the palace.

“Gun!!”

Being hit by the attack would flatten him. Lee Gun smirked as he touched Hugo and Yeonwoo.

A shadow surged up from the ground and swallowed up Lee Gun, Hugo, and Yeonwoo. It was Warp.

They reappeared in the deepest part of the Great Spirit’s palace!

“Kuh-huhk!!”

Yeonwoo landed lightly. Hugo covered his mouth as if he wanted to vomit.

They had arrived inside a holy dome that contained the statue of the Great Spirit. Despite being the palace of a god, this space was filled with malice.

Lee Gun imbued Divine power into the key he had stolen from Ares. Then something surprising happened.

Doo-doo-doo-doohk!!!

The sculpture of the Great Spirit split apart, and a shining core appeared within it.

Lee Gun laughed as he extended his hand toward the core.

However, a powerful laser-like light pierced through the wall and flew toward him.

It was Poseidon’s attack. Despite being sent from a long distance, the attack still contained unimaginable power.

“How dare you enter the Great Spirit’s space!”

The voice of a god rang out as if it was going to shake heaven and earth.

Blood leaked out of Hugo’s ears since he was human. 

Poseidon’s attack flew toward them once again.

When the ceiling and the ground collapsed, Yeonwoo clasped her hands as she clenched her eyes shut. Then a green light emanated from her. The falling debris stopped in the air as if there was no gravity.

Stepping on the floating fragments, Lee Gun jumped into the sky. He was trying to regain Hugo’s Divine status, which was floating in the air. However, when Lee Gun extended his hand…

“There is no way I’ll let you take it!” Poseidon smirked. When he flicked his finger, another beam of light flew toward Lee Gun.

The light split into two like shooting stars. They headed toward Lee Gun and Hugo’s Divine status.

“!”

Lee Gun immediately realized what Poseidon intended to do.

‘He’s saying one of us must die.’

If Lee Gun blocked the attack coming toward him, Hugo’s Divine status would be destroyed. If he grabbed Hugo’s Divine status, he would be hit by the attack.

‘If I take a direct hit, it’ll cause a lot of damage.’

On the other hand, his answer was already chosen. Lee Gun chose Hugo’s Divine status.

Yeonwoo immediately tried to take action, but Lee Gun mumbled something, which made her flinch.

In the end, Poseidon’s attack pierced through Lee Gun’s body.

When Lee Gun vomited blood, the gods laughed as they approached him from the distance. Hugo’s face turned pale, and he rushed toward Lee Gun.

“Gun!”

Lee Gun smirked as he grabbed Hugo by the back of his neck. “Whatever! Just pay back the debt.”

“What— Kuh-huhk!!”

Lee Gun pierced Hugo’s stomach with the hand holding the Divine status.

Hugo gurgled as he felt a foreign object enter him, but Lee Gun merely laughed. “Even if I die, I have to send you back to your family.”

“Gun…!!”

“Name your third child after me.”

“!”

Lee Gun looked like he was about to die. He laughed as if he was leaving behind a dying wish.

Shocked, Hugo tried to say something, but a black puddle of space appeared beneath Hugo and Yeonwoo.

“I’m sorry I won’t be able to go home with you. Tell Sungjae I’m sorry for not being able to keep my promise.”

Realizing the meaning behind his friend’s words, Hugo desperately tried to grab Lee Gun. “Gun! No…!!”

However, Hugo became speechless when he was swallowed up by the shadow alongside Yeonwoo. They had been teleported to a different location.

After making Hugo cry, Lee Gun let out an evil laugh, as if his near-death state was a lie. The wound that looked like it could kill him healed in an instant.

[The disciple with high faith is full of emotions.]

‘I completed the requirement with this.’

If Lee Gun wanted to release his stage 6 skills, his Divine power had to be over 90%. That was why he had planned out this scenario.

The eyes of the gods turned round when they saw this.

The missed arrow destroyed the ground. Sagittarius smiled when he saw this.

‘He’ll be able to run away easily using that.’

He had purposefully aimed for the floor leading to the underground tunnel.

The other gods summoned a net, but Sagittarius merely laughed.

‘He’ll be able to dodge that with room to spare…’

However, Lee Gun didn’t dodge.

“?!”

Instead of dodging, he let himself get caught in the net. 

The gods yelled in delight, but Saggitarius was flustered.

‘What the hell? Why?’

The pillar gods assumed Lee Gun had run out of power, and they approached him. Athena and Aphrodite, whom Lee Gun had sent flying, were there too.

“You really gave us trouble!”

“Whatever! Let’s drag him to the Great Spirit!”

Accompanying their words, the scenery changed.

Tied up in chains, Lee Gun was dropped off inside an unfamiliar palace. This palace was on a different level compared to the others he had seen. It was fancy and large.

An unfamiliar figure appeared in front of him. The powerful light made his appearance indistinct; it had to be the Great Spirit.

All the pillar gods, who had arrived before him, glared at Lee Gun as they spoke.

“Is that the snake god, who turned Olympus into a mess?”

“He wasn’t as inexperienced as I thought.”

However, something else bothered them the most.

“Someone like you shouldn’t have been able to enter Olympus.”

“Who let you into Olympus? Speak! Who is it?”

Sagittarius flinched, but then rolled his eyes.
