Chapter 7: Why Did I Help You Get Rid Of The Gu Worm? You’re Even More Miserable Now.

As the man stood up, he patted the broken tiles and sawdust on his shoulders and clothes. Then, he raised his head to look at Lord Qian.

Bian Zhonghua spread his hands, shrugged his shoulders, and said: “Sorry, I didn’t want to appear like this, but there are people guarding everywhere, so I had to come through the roof.”

As soon as he said this, the foul-smelling gas burst out from Lord Qian and rushed straight to Bian Zhonghua’s gate of vitality1: “Hoo, you actually dare to come back? If there’s a way to Heaven, you won’t take it, but if there’s no way to Hell, you will still break in2! In that case, don’t blame me for being cruel!”

A silver-bladed knife came out from Bian Zhonghua’s sleeve and rushed into the air, colliding directly with the black gas coming his way.

Bian Zhonghua: “I don’t blame you, I blame myself. That night I didn’t looked at you carefully, so I didn’t expect that you would still be alive. I was supposed to be out of the city by now, but then I thought that I should take your Demon Core to prevent future trouble. In the end, when I came back to have a look, I thought. Hey! He isn’t dead?”

Lord Qian was extremely furious as he roared: “You’re so arrogant! Don’t think that I’m afraid of you because you’re a Secret Servant! You’re just a small ant in the Imperial Court, do you really think that I-….”

Bian Zhonghua interrupted him: “You talk a lot of nonsense. Stop screaming, all right? Now, let’s hurry up and fight. I still have time to find an inn and sleep for the rest of the night.”

After saying that, the silvery knife cut through the black gas and went right to Lord Qian’s chest, with an undisguised intention to kill. Lord Qian wasn’t in a hurry as he gathered the black gas in front of him and turned it into a wall to protect his body.

Unexpectedly, that black gas was useless! As soon as Lord Qian was easily pierced by the knife, his face panicked and he tried to dodge it. However, it was already too late and his arm was cut in half. The moment the arm landed on the ground, it immediately turned into a mouse’s paw.

Lord Qian screamed loudly as he covered the fresh wound. At the same time, the sound of chaotic footsteps were heard outside the room, as if the guards had found that something was wrong and hurried to the scene.

“Why, how could this happen?! It’s impossible, impossible!” Lord Qiang raised his head and suddenly saw that Bian Zhonghua’s left shoulder was glowing faintly, showing the shape of a Dragon.

""

Lord Qian suddenly reacted, so frightened that he even stumbled and crawled away. The tone of his voice changed as he said: “You’re a Demon Slayer! How could a Demon Slayer come to this place?! How is it possible?!”

However, Bian Zhonghua didn’t give him the opportunity to escape. With a wave of his sleeve, the silver blade fiercely pierced Lord Qian’s chest, and then went down, cutting open his stomach. As Lord Qian howled miserably, he turned into a huge rat and fell down covered with the black gas. Bian Zhonghua took a few steps forward and took out a demon core covered with dirty blood from the corpse. Then he gently pinched it, and the demon core was shattered to pieces.

The door of the wing room was slammed open and dozens of guards rushed in. But once they stepped inside, they were extremely confused by the situation in front of them, as they looked at each other, as if not knowing what to do.

Bian Zhonghua was too lazy to pay attention to them, so he simply went to the bedside and said: “So are we both brought together by fate? How come that after helping you get rid of the Gu worm, you’re even more miserable instead?”

Qi Ci looked at Bian Zhonghua and said weakly: “I’m a motherless child, it’s a long story.”

All of a sudden, a scream exploded in the wing room.

The Madame covered her mouth as she stared at the corpse of the big rat on the ground and screamed. Bian Zhonghua turned his head, smiled, and walked towards the Madame: “Yesterday, when I saw you, I felt that you were covered with evil qi. Of course, I wondered, how could a human have such a heavy evil qi surrounding them? Today I went to the town to ask, and only then did I know what you did with this demon rat.”

The madame shouted at the guards nearby: “What are you waiting for? Catch him!”

However, no one moved. When the Madame looked back, she found that there was a silver blade hanging at the throats of every guard. They were so stiff that they didn’t dare to move a single muscle.

The Madame turned around, trying to run away, but the moment she turned her head, she saw Bian Zhonghua standing behind her.

Then, Bian Zhonghua grabbed the Madame’s throat and violently pushed her against the wall.

The Madame scratched his wrist fiercely as she screamed and struggled: “You can’t kill me! You can’t kill me! You’re a Secret Servant, I’m a human! You can only kill monsters3! You can only kill monsters!”

Bian Zhonghua’s eyes curved as he smiled. His other hand went through the Madame’s chest and dug out the Madame’s heart at once.

The sight was so frightening that some of the guards screamed and rolled their eyes before fainting.

Bian Zhonghua looked at the bloody meat ball in his hand and said: “I’m surprised that your heart is still red and not black. After all, didn’t you kill dozens of children with a demon?”

As he spoke the silver blades on the guards’ necks retreated and synthesized into one as it returned to Bian Zhonghua’s bosom. The guards were ordinary people that would usually intimidate the young male and female prostitutes of the brothel, so when they met something like this, they would naturally be scared shitless as they ran for their lives.

Bian Zhonghua abandoned the body of the Madame and washed his hands with the tea on the table. Then he knocked over the candle to the ground, and the flame immediately sprang up, burning the wooden table. Bian Zhonghua simply walked to the door, put his palm around his lips, and screamed: “Fire! Fire! Run away!”

As the chaos spread, some of the customers and prostitutes rushed out of the wing rooms still partly undressed, all of them fleeing downstairs for their lives.

Bian Zhonghua turned around and walked to the bedside with the raging flames surrounding the wing room. Only then did he find that Qi Ci had fainted due to excessive blood loss.

“If it was fate that brought us together, then it’s fate.” Bian Zhonghua said as he picked up Qi Ci, hummed a little song, and walked outside the wing room.
