The war that everyone feared began about two and a half years ago. Then, finally, the Empire got the first victory of the war—but it was only for a while.

After this war was over, the kingdoms were united, thinking that maybe it was their turn next. That’s how the Empire was cornered. And at that time, it was the white man Michelle talked about who changed the outcome of the war.

Feeling the defeat of the war, the Empire turned to the temple for help. The Paladins sent from the temple were led by the white man, who changed the outcome. But he wasn’t the only one. There was one more person to note in this war.

“What do you mean savior?”

Someone who is called a savior, which is a kind of cheesy name. The second princess, Evangeline, brought that person one day.

No one knew the savior’s identity.

‘He can’t be Richard, right?’

The information is so tightly hidden that not even the gender has been revealed. Just one thing. Except that person has black hair.

‘Who the hell is it—’

It’s like that person wasn’t in the novel.

Neither the white guy nor the savior, I don’t know why variables that weren’t in the novel pop up like this.

I have no intention of getting close to the center of the flow; however, I’m anxious because I don’t know what will happen if so many variables exist. I also have no choice but to find out for myself. It would have been fine to gather information without getting too involved in the novel as much as possible.

I was bored and looked at the auction house.

From the balcony seats on the second floor, the people participating in the auction below and the stage were clearly visible.

“10,000!”

“30,000!”

“70,000!”

The price of the auction was rising frighteningly. I am now at an illegal auction house to retrieve the items I promised Michelle.

<Before, there was a kid who sold her belongings other than you. Do you know what happened to that kid?>

<…I, I didn’t steal.>

<There won’t be anything good because you’ve been avoiding it until the end. How many people survived stealing aristocratic goods?>

<….>

<I don’t know, but the bad nobles are not satisfied with just you. Even if the seeds are related by blood, drying them all is not enough.>

<…A, aide.>

<So it’s better to be honest when I say something nice.>

After scaring her, being nice to her, and calming her down, the maid blew up where she had sold her things.

‘After that, the maid’s punishment should be whatever Michelle wants to do.’

The maid has a habit of stealing.

She had stolen things before, so when she stole jewelry, she sold it in a secret place. It’s amazing how she managed to work as a maid in an aristocratic family. In any case, the jewel, which was a memento from Michelle’s mother, was going to an illegal auction house.

I twisted my brown hair and waited for my next turn.

I was wearing a brown wig and mask to participate in the auction.

Finally, a familiar jewel appeared.

“This product is a blue diamond ring!”

That’s it.

The blue diamond sparkled brilliantly.

I remember Michelle clearly because she once wore that ring and said it was a memento from her mother. Even the sad look of not being able to touch it for a long time out of fear that the ring would wear out.

“The auction price starts at 500,000!”

500,000 in the auction house is different from half a million in the market. So there was a separate amount of money for them.

So, I thought for a second about how much 500,000 was worth.

Meanwhile, the auction began.

“1 million!”

“3 million!”

“4 million!”

The winning bids soared endlessly.

“10 million! 10 million came out! Is there anyone who can call more than this?”

Ten million.

That would be enough to buy all the shops in this neighborhood.

“You have won the bid!”

The blue diamond that was displayed in the center of the stage was moved.

I shifted my gaze to see who had bought the diamond. The man had a pretty rich look. Since they will deliver the blue diamond to the man after the auction, there’s no need to be impatient.

The auction house was busy and full of people.

The mood grew, and many people raised signs and competed with each other for auction items.

It was when I was watching the scene in a daze.

“It’s an attack!”

They’re finally here.

I’ve been waiting a long time.

The heated auction house cooled down when the servants here announced that there was an attack.

“The Paladins of the temple have attacked!”

“Damn it—! How the hell do they know—!”

People are running around in a mess. They tried to escape quickly, but it was already too late because they were in a situation where the Paladins were just around the corner.

‘They did a good job catching them from the balcony seat.’

I purposely spent some money and settled in the balcony seat on the second floor.

‘The diamond… It should be safe.’

It will be fine if it’s backstage.

As I was sitting on the balcony and looking at the back of the stage, I heard the sound of curtains being lifted from behind my back.

I looked back, not surprised. The man who came into the balcony was one of the Paladins. How much blood had been spilled on their way here? Their silver armor and silver sword were stained with stains of blood.

“Are you Shabrina?”

“Yes, that’s right.”

“Follow me. I will escort you.”

“Thank you.”

I got up from my seat and followed the man.

When I found out that the blue diamonds had been sold to an illegal auction house, I first filed a complaint with the temple. The complaining was very easy.

Michelle and I signed a contract to supply war food to the temple during the war. In the process, she established a position in the temple and was treated fairly well. As a result, the connections I’ve made are pretty good too.

“Please be careful.”

The knight escorted me, looking out for my safety and doing everything he could to ensure I didn’t feel uncomfortable. If there was anyone in the way, he took care of it immediately and finished it neatly, just in case I was afraid.

So I left the auction house safely. Then I looked up at the sky without thinking.

‘The dark clouds….’

Will it rain? It was sunny when I came here.

“I have a blue diamond inside. It is a memento of the Baron’s mother.”

“I know. Don’t worry, Shabrina. We will deliver the items as soon as we obtain them without any problems.”

“Thank you.”

I told the temple where the illegal auction house was located, and I also told them about the memento. The temple also promised to give me the memento willingly and without any conditions. From their point of view, it looks good to us, so there’s nothing bad about it. It was mutual aid.

“Miss Shabrina, please come this way. Please sit here comfortably.”

“Thank you.”

Paladins who nearby gave me a place to sit.

I think he was ordered to serve me with the utmost care from above. It wasn’t bad for me, of course. Especially since my legs just happened to hurt.

“I have heard the news. The servants dared to steal the belongings and sell them recklessly.”

I was sitting comfortably, and the knight next to me talked to me.

“Right. Still, I am only thankful that the Paladins are helping me.”

“That’s not true. Because that’s the right thing to do. It’s an important issue, so the Commander came forward himself.”

“…Commander?”

“Yes, that’s right. The Commander—”

The knight said that the commander came right away, which seemed to imply that the temple cares about the Savlin, but it didn’t come to my ears very much.

…If it’s the Commander.

He is the white guy Michelle said she had a bad feeling about him.

“So, the Commander decided to find and deliver the memento himself.”

I don’t feel good. I just knew I had to leave this place right away.

Was it because I suspected that man might be Richard?

‘…We can’t meet now.’

Meeting Richard or not— at least it was after checking the man’s face from a distance.

I got up from my seat.

“…Miss Shabrina?”

The knight looked at me, wondering if he had made a mistake. But to clear up the misunderstanding of the knight, many thoughts were running through my head quickly.

‘I wanted to give it to Michelle myself….’

But that seems like it would be hard to do. Michelle also said that she wouldn’t want me to take unnecessary risks.

“I have urgent business to go first. If you send your belongings to the mansion….”

“Commander!”

When it was time for me to tell the knight I had to return to the mansion right away, the man next to me, who had been talking the whole time, shouted.

My body stiffened up as if it had frozen on its own. Then I clenched my fists and turned my head.

…Just the face, I just need to confirm the face.

Then I’ll know that this bad feeling is caused by how I feel.

But the animal’s sixth sense wasn’t an illusion.

When I confirmed the man’s face, I became stiff.

Unlike the other knights, a man in white clothes, not armor, came down the stairs at a slow pace. A shadow covered the man’s face, but when he lifted his head, which had been tilted at an angle, his face was visible.

As Michelle said, the man was white.

There was blood on his clothes and sword, but overall the man had a white and holy atmosphere.

I’ve heard a story about this man going around the world.

A holy and beautiful appearance as if an angel had descended. A sensual masterpiece that no one really can raise their head. I’ve heard rumors that men are that beautiful.

I bit my lip.

Because that man has a familiar face.

Why are you….

The gaze of the man who looked around reached me. Like a fish pierced by its gaze, I couldn’t move.

…Richard.
