As Xie Jianwei sat on the Leader’s lap, his mood became more and more complicated.

This dream got him feeling somewhat guilty, as if he was cheating!

The Blood King had been observing his face– from his white forehead to his tall nose, to those rosy lips…

When Xie Jianwei subconsciously licked his lower lip, then Bloodclan Leader abruplty raised his chin and kissed him.

This kiss was both familiar and unfamiliar to Xie Jianwei.

It was familiar in a way that he is very clear that this is Lu Li, his breath and his habits; unfamiliar, because he had never seen this kind of LU Li –  mature and forbearing, with a pair of eyes that seemed to contain vicissitudes as vast as the sea.

After the King released him, Xie Jianwei had barely recovered when he felt a sudden pain on his neck. The feeling of rapid draining of blood made his brain blank again.

The Blood King Lu Li had been sleeping for so long, so it’s normal that as soon as he woke up, he would eat. The people below the throne thought that his feeding would take some so they had planned to withdraw in order to avoid disturbing the two, but the bloodclan Leader suudenly released Xie Jianwei.

Xie Jianwei’s eyes were blurred, his thin lips were trembling, and his expression was full of emotions …

There’s still Xie Jianwei’s blood in the corner of his mouth, but the scarlet color in Lu Li’s eyes had slowly faded. He got up and walked down the steps.

When Xie Jianwei recovered, he looked up, and he could only see the back of the man who was leaving. He felt something pierce his heart and recalled what Lu Li whispered in his ear just now:

“You  ah…”

Two words. Only two words, but it was full of helplessness and indulgence.

The Blood king had left, but the crowd beneath the steps was still there. Lorren hurried forward and looked at Xie Jianwei: “What’s wrong with His Majesty?”

Xie Jianwei : “…”

Luo Lun asked again: “He found out?”

“Should be.”

Blood could reveal some things and the blood of a vampire who had been starving for a century was definitely different from someone who’s full.

The Blood King Lu Li took a sip of Xie Jianwei’s blood, and knew that the latter has a ‘person’. (t/n: BK Lu Li walked out cause he wasn’t expecting Xie Jianwei’s blood to taste like someone who was ‘healthy’. They were exclusively drinking each others blood before he slept a century ago, so he thought Xie Jianwei would be ‘malnourished’.)

Lorren sighed and patted his shoulder to give comfort: “Don’t worry, it’s our nature, and His Majesty would definitely understand.”

Xie Jianwei was not worried until he was a ghost.

If it was a pure blood clan leader, he didn’t care at all, but that was Lu Li. Can Lu Li understand? Can he really understand, so that he wouldn’t be so paranoid to the point that he would want to kill himself?

Xie Jianwei took a deep breath and found that things were now somewhat difficult.

The Blood King Lu Li woke up too early, but the reason why he woke up so early was extremely difficult to determine.

Could it be that the ‘new’ Lu Li (t/n: Human Lu Li who transformed) knew his relationship with the Bloodclan Leader, so he woke him up intentionally to test him?

That wasn’t impossible, but Xie Jianwei was more worried about another possibility.

If the Blood King Lu Li woke up all by himself, it means that he broke through the consciousness of the dream thus he was able to awaken in advance.

In that case…

Yan Ke muttered: “That’s impossible, there can only be one master in a dream.”

Xie Jianwei said nothing; his instincts told him that it was not that simple.

********

(t/n: I’ll refer to the Lu Li who used to be human as Lu Li, while for the pureblood Lu Li as Blood King/ Bloodclan Leader Lu Li)

Xie Jianwei returned to his residence, and Lu Li also happened to be back from outside.

The two met, and Xie Jianwei’s dodged the other’s eyes for a moment.

""

Lu Li perceived it keenly, but his expression didn’t change: “I heard that His Majesty is now awake?”

Xie Jianwei responded: “Hmm.”

Lu Li approached him and kissed him on the forehead: “What’s wrong, unhappy?”

Yes happy. Happy that my lover is about to be divided into dozens of persona! Xie Jianwei mumbled in his heart.

Lu Li smiled softly and asked, “Why are you unhappy? Can you tell me?”

Xie Jianwei tried to cheer up and said “I’m not unhappy.”

Lu Li looked down at him.

Xie Jianwei persuaded himself with ‘to hell with guilty conscience’ as he continued: “I’m just a little tired. I want to take an early rest.”

Lu Li was still looking at him.

Xie Jianwei thought about it for a while, and decided to say nothing. He just kissed Lu Li’s lips, and caressed his hair.

He had to be ruthless. Although all of them are Lu Li, but because of the treatment, he can only take care of them one at a time.He couldn’t afford to make Lu Li’s condition worse because of his own soft heartedness. He is still unclear about the situation of the Blood King Luli, but the newly born Lu Li must have “God’s consciousness”, so he cannot be tossed about blindly. (t/n: since Lu Li is the dreeam master, he is basically the ‘God’)

The sweetness and affection inside the house was a stark contrast against the cold moon outside.  The man wearing a silver mask stood not far away, staring at the thin door all night.

*******

The next day, Xie Jianwei couldn’t get out of bed. Lu Li pressed his waist and asked casually, “What kind of person is His Majesty?”

Hearing this, Xie Jianwei tried hard not to behave strangely, but his back was tight.

“The conferring ceremony is in two days, so I want to know in advance.” Lu Li added.

Yes, Lu Li had inherited Shears’ title, but because the Blood Clan Leader was still sleeping at that time, there was no ceremony. Now that the latter has woken up, a conferring ceremony will be held and it’s also a good way for Lu Li, this new bloodkin who had performed greatly, to be introduced to the Bloodrace’s King.

What Lu Li said was reasonable, so Xie Jianwei had no choice but to say: “Relax, His Majesty is very nice.”

What else could he say? He asked him how he was, of course he could only say it that way …

Lu Li smiled lightly, and suddenly turned to the critical point: “I heard that His Majesty likes you very much.”(t/n: and I oop––)

Xie Jianwei: “…”

But Lu Li didn’t stop at just that–his voice was very stable as he continued: “Do you like His Majesty?”

Xie Jianwei’s heart thumped, but his reaction was still very fast. He turned to look at Lu Li and said seriously: “I did. Before meeting you, I had a relationship His Majesty.” (t/n: brave boi)

These things are impossible to hide. Instead of letting Lu Li listen to others resulting to him thinking wildly, he might as well confess all of these himself.

Lu Li’s thin lips pursed and repeated: “A relationship?”

Xie Jianwei can only say with a scalp: “If that’s what you think.”

Lu Li’s voice finally fluctuated: “Was it just like what we are now?”

Xie Jianwei said: “A relationships did occur, and we had consumed each other’s blood, but it was different from what we are now.”

After Lu Li heard the last half of Xie Jianwei’s sentence, his expression calmed down a little.

Xie Jianwei could only throw this black pot to the dream’s setting, so he explained: “Ah-Li, you still have your human memories, so you’d think that this kind of thing isn’t acceptable, but in fact, the exchange of blood between vampires is very common, just like how humans treat each other to dinner.”(t/n: speech: 100 ( ̄∇ ̄))

Lu Li’s eyes drooped, and he said in a muffled voice, “I know. “

Xie Jianwei didn’t expect him to accept it right away. He could only continue: “ So don’t think too much about it, please?”

Lu Li had a question in his mouth, but in the end, didn’t ask it. He didn’t want to hear the answer, nor even want to see when Xie Jianwei could not answer.

Xie Jianwei sighed inaudibly, and looked at him, “Although the living habits of the bloodclan are like this, but because you still have your human memories, I will follow the human habit, just for you.”

Lu Li asked him: “You mean from now on, you’ll only have me, and will only exchange blood with me?”

“Yes, only you.” answered Xie Jianwei.

""

Lu Li finally smiled. “Well, I have only you.”

It seems that he managed to muddle through this matter but he still felt uneasy.

He is not at ease with Lu Li, let alone and the Blood King Lu Li.

********

Two days later, it was Lu Li’s conferring ceremony.

It was also the first time that the Blood King Lu Li appeared in public after waking up from his slumber. He put on a luxurious black and gold robe, and his already excellent figure was embellished with more elegance and dignity. Although the silver mask on the face covered half of his appearance, it made him more mysterious, especially against his unique pair of red eyes.

Anyone would instantly lose the courage to look directly at him because of his appearance. However, this did not include the new Count, who was about to be officially conferred with his title.

Lu Li looked up at him, full of provocation, but Blood King Lu Li turned a blind eye on him and instead glanced at Xie Jianwei.

As the ceremony began, his beautiful red eyes stared on the man who looked exactly like him– they even have the same name.

No one knows the name of the Leader of the Bloodclan. Only Xie Jianwei and Lorren were fortunate ones to have heard it, but even those two only knew his name as a single word – his last name is unknown to all.

And now, this new bloodkin is called Lu Li.

Blood King Lu Li withdrew his gaze and calmly completed the conferring ceremony.

After officially received the title, Lu Li stood up. His height was almost exactly the same as that of the Bloodclan Leader Lu Li, and their figure was similar to the extreme. It was just that one of them was kneeling while the other was standing during the rites, so it was not that apparent.

The two stood up facing each other as their similarities met–even their momentum was somewhat identical. Although the bloodclans beneath the platform did not dare speak out, they were all suspicious. If wasn’t for His Majesty covering half of his face, the two could be mistaken as twin brothers.

Xie Jianwei looked down, with his heart beating hard.

Yan Ke was also very nervous: “Don’t fight, don’t fight!”

Yan Ke’s prayers were useful, or perhaps the two personalities were more stable, as they didn’t rush to fight.

After the ceremony was a grand banquet.

Because this conferring ceremony was held after hundreds of years, and the first ever new bloodkin to be granted such a high rank, the banquet was very lively, and the celebration would last for a few days and nights.

Blood King Lu Li also participated, not even symbolically– he sat on his seat as he watched all the bloodclans bustle. (t/n: usually, rulers would retire after their speech/formalities. BK Lu Li actually stayed.)

The blood race is good at singing and dancing. After the enchanting song and dance, the atmosphere was instantly lifted to its peak. Numerous men and women crowded around the main character of this evening, as they chattered incessantly.

“Count Lu Li, just play with us once.”

As soon as someone started, some people followed and laughed: “Yeah, Count Lu Li my blood is delicious, I heard them say that it is as sweet as what the humans call a ‘cake’, and the taste is soft.” Which was a complete nonsense. As long as you transform into the blood race, no human memories would remain, so how could someone remember the taste of a cake?

However, this kind of behavior was quite common among vampires, especially those changed from human to blood race. They like to compare their blood to some kind of food.

The other bloodkins started selling theirselves again: “Mine is ice cream!”

“Mine is peach flavored!”

“Mango!”

“Pineapple!”

“Grapes!”

The last one was even more amazing: “This lady’s blood tastes like Durian!” (t/n: pfft lol)

Yan Ke smiled and whispered: “Does this young lady really know what Durian is like?”

Xie Jianwei also smiled: “If she knows, she wouldn’t say that.”

Lu Li on the other hand, was having a hard time breaking through the ‘fruits’ encirclement.

Xie Jianwei didn’t do anything. After all, their relationship is well known and Lu Li won’t really drink the blood of others.

Because of Xie Jianwei’s status, his seat was positioned on the lower right side of the Leader, and the two were in close proximity.

Blood King Lu Li let the attendant behind them pour a glass of wine for him. Xie Jianwei could not refuse, so he accepted the toast.

Blood King Lu Li smiled and asked, “Where did you find it?”

He’s asking about Lu Li, Xie Jianwei understood it naturally, so he answered: “Misty Mountain Stream.”

“A hunter?”

Xie Jianwei said: “He was being bullied miserably, and he was about to be killed by his hunter companion.”

Blood King Lu couldn’t help but smile and asked again: “Why did you go to the human world?”

Xie Jian paused a little and didn’t speak, but the blabbermouth Loren immediately expressed his loyalty for him: “Seeing that Wei had been starving for a hundred years, I have been forcing him to drink hot blood, but he was so headstrong. He wanted to find a way to wake you up in advance, and he really found one, but the materials needed were rare….”

Xie Jianwei wanted to stop Lorren from talking, but he knows it’ll be useless, because if the Blood King Lu Li really wants to know, a bunch of people would readily tell him everything.

Lorren sighed: “Jianwei picked it up when he went to auction materials in Qin Yafang … um … He’s Little Lu.”

Blood King Lu Li looked at Xie Jianwei: “Starving for a hundred years?”

Xie Jianwei lowered his head, “Hmm.”

Blood King Lu li smiled and said softly: “I woke up too late.”

Who dares to accept those words? Lorren didn’t dare, Xie Jianwei couldn’t.

Blood King Luli asked again: “What are the materials for awakening?”

Lorren recited one by one. Blood King Luli said: “It’s all rare things. You all got it all together?”

Xie Jianwei confessed: “Yes.”

Lorren was nervous, and le glanced at Xie Jianwei several times with his eyes. (t/n: hello pig teammate)

Blood King Lu Li continued to inquire with interest: “You managed to gather it all of those just recently?”

Xie Jianwei persisted with honesty “It has been completed five years ago.”

As soon as he said this, Lorren almost wanted to take the wine glass and gag his friend. Why is he being so honest? Does he also want to explain that he did not wake him up because of that little Wolf Dog?

Blood King Luli visibly paused: “Five years ago …”

Lorren really didn’t want the atmosphere to deteriorate anymore, so he tried to subtly change the focus: “Actually, the materials weren’t completed five years ago because of some accident. The most important ingredient, the Silk Sunflower was gone, so it has been dragged on until now.”

Only the two of them know what the Silk Sunflower was used for. If and Xie Jianwei kept their mouths shut, His Majesty would not know.

He was reluctant to conceal such incident from the King, but it’s better if it remained as a secret between him and Jianwei.  Xie Jianwei shouldn’t utter the words “I used the Silk Sunflowerto treat Lu Li”.

Blood King Lu Li never asked what the accident was, he only said: “Where’s the rest of the materials?”

""

Lorren said: “They are all collected there.”

Blood King Lu Li looked at Xie Jianwei: “Wait for the banquet to be over, and bring me the Heart of Ice Silk.”

Xie Jianwei didn’t know what he was going to do, so he just said, “Okay.”

The people below couldn’t hear what they were talking about, but they could see it.

Someone whispered: “His Majesty being together with Count Wei looks really good.”

“Yes, I heard that before his slumber, he only had Count Wei beside him.”

“At that time, some people said that our blood clan was going to change.” (t/n: change in their customs of not being exclusive to each other)

“Hahaha!! There’s no way two purebloods can only have each other.”

They said casually, but Lu Li heard them all.

After finally getting rid of the ‘Fruit Corps’, Lu Li walked up the stairs and thanked the Blood King Lu Li. The latter was calm and composed from beginning to end.

Lu Li looked at Xie Jianwei and asked, “Can I sit next to the Count?”

Xie Jianwei paused a little, but still said: “Of course.”

Lu Li then sat next to Xie Jianwei and kissed him very naturally under the eyes of everyone.

Xie Jianwei: “…”

What’s worse was that some people even cheeered: “Come one, Count! One more time!”

You farts! So you guys don’t want to live anymore huh!

However, Lu Li clasped the back of his head, and kissed him deeply one more time. Xie Jianwei was kissed until he became dizzy. He glanced over the corners of his eyes, and he saw Blood King Lu Li’s blood-red eyes and slightly pursed lips under the mask.

The author has something to say:

Human Lu Li: I always feel that there is a green cloud hovering above my head.

Blood Race Lu Li: Oh? You have my green clouds?

(t/n: they’re being subtle about the term “wearing a green hat”, which as many of you probably knows, means being cheated upon by their partner.)
