647 Chapter 647

It wasn't only the normal mortal world that was engulfed in madness and chaos!

While that part of the society was the one who suffered the highest shock due to the instantaneous shock and facing what they thought previously impossible, the other part of the world suffered the same if not more.

The big organizations, powers, families, clans, and sects, were all suffering even more in these moments as they were presented with their biggest enemy yet.

The worst part was that they had no idea about this new enemy, besides the fact that they grew stronger crazily fast, and they were everywhere.

Not even one day after the 'tutorial' a lot of airheaded fools appeared at their gates with the intention of fighting and destroying them.

After such a long time of accumulation living in power and wealth, they had gathered their own fair share of resentment and enmity.

How many eggs had they broken in order to make omelets for their selves, it was by no means a small number.

As if this wasn't enough, they even had inner problems, with people thinking that this was the best opportunity for them to make an emergence.

After all, while this was a misfortune it was also an opportunity for them. The same thing was happening with the Long Family.

As a matter of fact, the Long Family was in a state of emergency. The ra*ping case of one of their main descendants, and the kill of the servants was certainly heavy, but not heavy enough.

The true reason for the emergency was related to something that had happened at the same time, or immediately after that situation.

Someone had actually stolen all the best herbs, and most importantly the blood rose from the garden, alongside a weird letter placed in Master Long's office.

In the letter was stated that he should be careful of his wife's antics and that she might have an improper relationship with the second Master of the Family.

That certainly caused quite an uproar in the heart of Master Long who already doubted a lot about something like that.

Even more so, when he had information that his half-brother had started to move into the shadows and gather support to overthrow him.

Looking at the reports and reading the letter he couldn't help but get even angrier at his shitty life and fate, that not only separated him from his best friend but even poisoned his life.

He still couldn't forget that night…

He had been drinking some good wine with his second uncle, it was one of his precious stacked wines that he rarely took out.

Due to the situation, and warm talk he had drunk more than what he should have and had unwillingly gotten drunk to the point that he lost his conscience.

When he woke up the next morning, he found himself in his room, with Yan Meng on the other side of the bed crying with tattered clothes, and blood on the covers of the bed.

He couldn't believe what he was seeing, as he didn't remember even the tiniest fragment of what had happened that night, and the situation just got worse when the maid entered inside.

Still, despite not remembering anything, he still blamed everything upon himself. He couldn't believe how he had actually done something like that to his beloved.

Even more so, he couldn't believe the treason he had done to his good brother, they had made an oath to fight fair and square, only for him to do something like this.

He cursed and hated himself for what he had done, but at the same time, he was happy because what happened tied his beloved to himself, and he couldn't help but be wistful for a good future.

Unfortunately, his wishful thinking remained just that, as he lost not only his good brother but also his beloved became scared and frightened of him.

No matter how much he tried, their relationship just grew worse over the years, forcing him to force himself upon her whenever he wanted intimate contact with her.

Due to that, they hadn't been able to even have a proper family, or children, because he had been doubting that the children they had, weren't his own.

As if that wasn't enough, whenever he tried to help and grow the Long Family, he would always be plotted by his good half-brother, and even his own son, while his angry good brother never left him the opportunity.

How many times had he opened the path for that guy to appease his anger, and hatred hoping that he would forgive him one day?

How many times he had taken a loss for that guy, and yet whatever he did seemed to only dig the hole bigger, and their enmity increased.

To him, this was an accursed life but he didn't want to give up! He didn't want to admit his loss, no matter what he wasn't willing to.

Even now as he read the letter he couldn't help but try to convince himself that the contents weren't real, and it was just someone's ploy.

'Clang…, clang…, clang…'

As he was thinking like that, he suddenly heard some loud noises in the hallways and had no other option but to get out and have a look.

"What's going on out here!?"

"Reporting to Master, someone seems to have stolen some precious herbs from the Garden of Madam Yan Meng, so we are checking the whole place!"

"What was stolen!?"

"A lingzhi, Dragon grass, and even another one, which I overheard it was a blood rose!"

"A blood rose!?"

"Yes, that was what one of Madam Yan Meng's attendants said!"

For a moment Master Long fell into deep thoughts, he knew that his beloved liked that garden and that there were even some extremely important plants in there, but he never knew what.

It was only now that he learned of this, even though he had no idea for what it was, and what was used for. Still, he felt pain for her and thought to find a replacement for them.

"Immediately go and call the gardener to me!"

Since he didn't know what these plants were, and what they were used for, he could only ask the gardener, but the servant's face turned weird as he said,

"Uhmm~! I can't Master, you killed him!"

"I killed him!? What preposterous bullshit is this!?"

"It wasn't my intention to bullshit Master, it's just that the gardener was one of the suspects for ra*ping the Young Miss, and…"

"What!? Then immediately bring me, someone who knows about plants and herbs, don't waste my time!"

Master Long hadn't expected such a development, but he managed to quickly cover his embarrassment by being unreasonable and pushing the fault on the servant.

The poor servant couldn't retort as he could only run away and find someone who could fit the criteria, only arriving with the alchemist after 10 minutes.

Seeing the alchemist and the servant in front of him, Master Long was looking at them with an expression of not knowing what to say, as he waited for an explanation.

"Master I have brought the person you were looking for!"

Even though with a trembling voice, the servant managed to spurt those words, while saying he had completed his quest in a roundabout way.

"You damned foolish thing, what I asked from you and what did you bring me!? I asked you for a gardener and you bring me the alchemist!

I don't know whether I should laugh, or cry at your stupidity! Do you expect the honorable alchemist to waste his time to find that blood rose, or whatever other flowers were lost!?

Do you think that he is that unoccupied!?"

"What!?"

While Master Long was screaming at his servant, the alchemist who had been staying at the side with displeasure written all over his face, released a startling scream.

Immediately taking a piece of paper, and a pen he started drawing something and then asked with a disturbed voice,

"Was this the blood rose you are searching for!?"

"Yes, that was it! That was precisely the flower Madam Yan Meng wanted us to search for!"

"Master Long you have to find this blood rose no matter what! This herb is an extremely precious herb that upon maturity can help a blood evolver break through at least one major realm.

The only problem is that no one knows how to raise and mature this flower, but the drawing I just did was that of a mature plant.

This is a great boon for us and the Long Family!"

The Alchemist was getting more and more excited the more he talked, and since he was absorbed in the great opportunity, he failed to see Master Long's face getting uglier and uglier.

That was due to his prescription of the plant. It could help a blood evolver break through at least one major realm.

Such experts were rare and even unique on Earth, but fortunately or unfortunately Master Long already knew two of them.

His half-brother, and his good-for-nothing son. This blood rose was most probably nurtured for either one of them or either way this was bad news for him.

That was because no matter who it was, it was his enemy. Both of those guys were trying with all sorts of ways to take his place, and then getting stronger it was similar to killing him.

Furthermore, since the plant was mature it meant that his wife knew what it was and how to nurture it, so she was deliberately doing something like this.

She had jumped over the boundary…
