Chapter 465

Chapter 465: Meeting family

On the other hand, Jennifer couldn’t feel her body able to stand anymore. Her knees had gone weak immensely, with her face paled as that of white marble. There was a touch of tears, but the shock that consumed and crawled under her skin was way stronger to even make her realize that she had heard from their mouths. ‘I’....Am and-not...their ch-child?’ It gave her goosebumps, on top of that, her mind radiated too much of strong vibes to head herself there anymore.

Every information was no less than the shock entering into her ears but more than that, it mentally disrupted her mind to the next core.

With her open mouth, there was no voice, only to find that their parents were conversing within each other into a whisper. It was the soft mumble, hard to recognize, enough for her to know that she had heard what all was vital.

Without even thinking twice, about herself or anything else anymore, Jennifer immediately walked back to her room without making even a tinge of sound. All that came and laid was silence, where she had closed her door tenderly.

However, just when Jennifer had closed the door, she broke down on the ground. With the support of the door, Jennifer sat on the floor with her eyes closed. “T-they...said...that I’m not..their daughter?”

Best

“H-how?! Why?”

Tons of questions were raised in her mind, already making no sense. They were all useless, to begin with, enough for her to realize that she held no other position in their house anymore.

.....

Things were cutting her mind to clash with her own thoughts with so much negativity.

Her parent’s words repeated like any other reel inside her brain, leaving no stone unturned for her heart to not shatter into pieces.

Subconsciously, Jennifer had also brought her hands together to cover her ears and keep her head in the lap of her knees. Pulling her knees and legs closer to her body, she only let her face down into the darkness.

‘She isn’t our daughter..she can’t know the truth..’

‘The best is that she marries Lucas as soon as possible..’

The thoughts never left any other place other than to even think. She was certain, they said these words..she isn’t their daughter.

Then who is she? Whose daughter is she? What kind of plan are they bewitching by marrying her with Lucas?

These were the questions whose answer wasn’t held by anyone else but her parents. Too shaking, surprising, also an underlying fact.

“T-they said that they can be killed...their past actions? What have they done in the past and how come...I became a Taylor?” Who was her birth mother then? and her father? Her family?

Or was she simply born out of wedlock to be abandoned and caught up by these two gentle people? With the pressure, this story was meaningless since her parents weren’t as good as they appeared to be. They were nearly ruthless, as she came across from the time period.

‘And then..now I understand, why were their love and care divided between me and Emir so easily?’ because she had seen his birth in front of her eyes. It was true, Emir was their child..she was adopted in the family..

‘I’m seriously adopted?’

Like the word was the last thing she ever thought which will be associated with her name..ADOPTED...the parents she considered her entire life and who blackmailed her for a while were no one else but the ones behind her miseries then?

Was her child’s life taken away from her not enough for her or even separate her from her husband? Her husband’s life was still not certain if he was alive or not....

Everything came as a heartbreaking situation to realize and accept but the truth lies in the same.. she isn’t their daughter.

But who is she then? What is her real identity in this world? Who are her parents? The questions, hard to get an answer to, were still the ones whom she can’t even deny even a bit.

No, that was what her heart was currently beating too fast, and wanted to have the knowledge about the same.

At last, she can’t help but lift her head off from her lap to finally look at the widow from where the sunshine was coming into her room. She was sitting on the ground with her eyes filled with tears all over. Not only that, it made her cheeks puff due to the cries, and heaviness that drooled on her mind.

But it didn’t hold her back from getting up from the ground and getting closer to the cupboard. From there, she took her hand back out from the small clutch and there, brought another spare phone.

At this stage, Jennifer’s hands were shaking badly with the fear that was under her nose. But holding the same with power in her mind, Jennifer was successful in unlocking it and then after, dialing a number with her numb fingers.

The call went through and another husky and joyous voice filed into her ears. “Hey! Congratulations! Your plan su-”

“I have something important to discuss. Meet me at the golden river bridge at midnight and...make sure that we are alone.”

Without even passing a higher chance of the question to reverse back at her, Jennifer had hung up and kept the same phone back into the clutch and stuff it into her clipboard. Closing the door of the cupboard, she had taken a deep breath, not to let her mind wander all around but to simply settle down.

Taking a deep breath, Jennifer finally managed to arrange her own range of nerves and mind. While her heart was still in very much pain, she didn’t let it affect her. Walking through the nearby window, Jennifer simply stared out of the window. With the sunshine, her eyes turned into a crystal moon to finally talk with herself.

‘I’m not your daughter? Then why did you hide this from me? And why are you so bent on not letting me know about my real family then?’

‘If I can’t find answers from you...then I will... definitely find the ones whose blood runs in my body. In this lifetime I will definitely meet my real family and this is my promise to myself..’
