80 Apology

“Yes, that’s me.” Xi Wan raised her chin and said to Nan Yin, “Please pass me the tissues over there.”

Nan Yin passed the tissue to Xi Yan in a daze.

Xi Wan took out a piece of tissue paper and wiped the wine stains off her hands. She then took out a new piece of tissue paper and handed it to Nan Yin, saying, “Wipe the tears off your face. You won’t look pretty anymore if you cry.”

Only then did Nan Yin realize that she was already crying.

Rong Hua knew about Xi Wan because he was also at the auction a few days ago. It was a spectacular scene and many middle-class and upper-class wealthy families wanted to please Xi Wan. It was the same for mid-tier wealthy families like Rong Hua.

However, he did not have a chance at the time. Now that he had met Xi Wan, he felt that his chance to please Xi Yan had come even though he did not know why Xi Wan would appear here.

After Nan Yin wiped her tears, she grabbed Xi Wan’s sleeve and said softly, “This person is quite powerful. We can’t afford to offend him. Let’s hurry up and leave.

“Don’t be afraid.” Xi Wan patted Nan Yin’s hand to comfort her. “Just wait and see how he’ll try to please me later.”

Nan Yin was a little surprised.

“Mrs. Su, what brings you here?” Rong Hua smiled in a flattering manner and said, “We’re old acquaintances so why didn’t you tell me that you’re here? I could’ve gone out to welcome you.”

“How can we be considered to be old acquaintances? This should be our first time meeting today.” Xi Wan dragged a chair over and sat down. Perhaps it was because the aura around her was too strong, none of the people present dared to stop her.

Rong Hua looked embarrassed but he still said, “You’re being too polite. I went to the auction a few days ago and I saw your elegance at that time.”

“Oh.” Xi Yan responded.

“What are you doing here today?” Rong Hua asked.

“I’m here to bring my actress back.” Xi Wan raised her chin and pointed at Nan Yin. “It’s Nan Yin that you’ve been forcing to drink with you.”

“Nan Yin is an actress under your command?” Rong Hua was shocked. Did Xi Wan’s words mean that Nan Yin was under her command? In other words, the young woman who invested in the production team was none other than Xi Wan?

What big mistake did he make? If he had known that Nan Yin was working for Xi Wan, he would never have forced her to come over to drink with him even if he could not forget Nan Yin!

“You just found out about this?” Xi Wan retorted.

“I just found out.” Rong Hua’s back was covered in cold sweat. He quickly poured himself a glass of wine and said, “Mrs. Su, this matter is my fault. I’ll offer you a toast here as an apology.”

With that said, Rong Hua finished the glass of wine.

Xi Wan looked at him calmly and said, “Mr. Rong, people usually drink three glasses of wine when they apologize. You’re only drinking one glass as an apology?”

Rong Hua immediately drank two glasses of wine when he heard this and said, “Okay, I’ll do as Mrs. Su say and drink three glasses as an apology.”

Xi Wan continued, “I broke in with my bodyguards today and I even splashed wine on your face. I was indeed in the wrong but friendship grows only after a fight, right? Mr. Rong, you should drink three more glasses to celebrate our acquaintance, right?”

Rong Hua responded repeatedly and drank another three more glasses of wine.

Xi Wan narrowed her eyes and said, “I think we seem to be hitting it off very well. We should be drinking more when meeting a good friend, right? Mr. Rong, you can continue drinking, can’t you?”

Rong Hua thought that Xi Wan was trying to get closer to him, so he nodded and drank three more glasses of wine.

After a few glasses of wine, Rong Hua’s mind was already a little delirious.

“Is the wine good?” Xi Wan asked as she looked at him.

This question sounded a little familiar but Rong Hua could not remember where he had heard it before. Xi Wan took out a new bottle of wine and placed it on the table. “Drink more if it’s good. This bottle is also yours.”

But Rong Hua could not drink anymore so he waved his hand and said, “I can’t drink anymore. I’ll throw up if I continue drinking.”

“Why is Mr. Rong being such a buzzkill?” Xi Wan waved her hand and six bodyguards stepped forward. Five of them were responsible for holding Rong Hua down and the other one was responsible for pouring the wine into his mouth.

Xi Wan said, “You should drink more if it’s good. Otherwise, people might think you can’t afford to drink, Mr. Rong.”

The people present watched as Rong Hua was forced to drink two large bottles of wine.

Only then did Xi Wan stop and said, “That’s enough. Let’s leave it at that for now. He’ll die if he drinks more.”

The bodyguards finally stopped. When they let go of Rong Hua, he slid down from the chair like a puddle of mud.
