46 The School’s Reputation

Hu Yi was taken aback for a moment and originally wanted to ask the school leader how he knew about this. He then suddenly remembered Xi Shu, whose face was swollen like a pig’s head. He turned around and asked her in disbelief, “You told them about this?”

“Yes,” Xi Shu flipped her hair. “So, what if I admitted it? We are in the wrong in this matter in the first place.”

Hu Yi could not take it anymore and cursed, “Xi Shu, are you stupid? You could just admit it yourself if someone exposed you. Why did you have to drag me down with you? We are suffering double losses now. Is this what you wanted to see?”

Xi Shu was shocked. She did not expect Hu Yi to talk to her like that. He was the person who once told her that he liked her.

Xi Wan knew that Xi Shu had been deceived. Thus, she was in a good mood and said mercilessly, “Xi Shu, is this your so-called ‘like’? I don’t think that’s the case at all. Have you been deceived? You’re really pitiful. It’s fine if the person you like doesn’t like you, but even the person who confessed to you wasn’t sincere at all.”

She was deliberately rubbing salt into Xi Shu’s wound and she even put on a sympathetic and regretful expression.

This feeling could only be described with one word—amazing!

The system also felt a surge of pleasure. [It’s really amazing!]

This matter had already been exposed so Hu Yi did not want to continue maintaining that worthless hypocrisy and false pretences. He simply went all out and said, “It’s true that I was indeed lying to Xi Shu. I don’t like her at all! If it wasn’t for the fact that she’s the daughter of the Xi family, would I even be interested in her with her looks and personality? When I agreed to help her frame Kong Shuo, it was for my own selfish reasons and also because I want to leave a good impression on her. Unexpectedly, she actually likes Kong Shuo! I must have really been blind!”

Xi Shu broke down completely at this time.

“Okay, since we’ve already made things clear, let’s not waste any more time. This is a criminal case so we must call the police.” Xi Wan said.

When Hu Yi heard that they were going to call the police, he was so scared that his face turned pale. He knelt on the ground immediately and pleaded with the school leader, “I was wrong in this matter. I can apologize to Kong Shuo! Please don’t call the police. I’m still a student and I haven’t graduated yet! Once the police arrived, this matter would definitely spread on the internet and it would not be good for the school’s reputation! Can you let this matter go for the sake of the school’s reputation?”

When Hu Yi saw that the school leader was silent, he knelt in Xi Wan’s direction again and said, “Big sister, I was the one who let Kong Shuo down! Please be merciful and forgive me this once!”

Xi Wan smiled but firmly rejected Hu Yi. “No.”

With that said, she took out her cell phone and called the police.

When Hu Yi saw this, he got up and was about to run. However, Xi Ze stopped him before he could leave. “You still want to run?”

Hu Yi struggled with all his might but Xi Ze’s strength was too great and Hu Yi could not break free at all. After a long time, he lost all his strength. So, he could only resign to his fate, close his eyes, and kneel on the ground.

Xi Wan sat on the chair triumphantly and shook her head. Kong Shuo was standing beside her. He was worried that she would fall, so he deliberately got closer to her and secretly reached out a hand to hold onto the chair.

Xi Shu witnessed all this.

She could not accept it. She liked Kong Shuo so much and had promised to give him a lot of benefits. So, why wouldn’t he even glance at her? On the contrary, Xi Wan had only spoken a few words for him and he was already so close to her?

The police arrived very quickly. Hu Yi remained silent as he was taken away but Xi Shu somehow hid in a corner.

Xi Wan looked at her and thought it was ridiculous. “Weren’t you completely unafraid of death earlier? Why are you afraid now?”

Xi Shu really thought that it did not matter at first. However, the moment she saw the police, she would be lying if she said that she was not afraid at all. She did not know anything about the law and she did not know how long she would be imprisoned for such a crime.

The police came over to pull her away but she shook them off and shouted, “Don’t touch me! I’m the young lady of the Xi family! Do you dare to lay your hands on me? My father is Xi Kang, and you’re not showing him any respect if you dare to touch me!”

Xi Wan looked at her as if she was a lunatic. “Who cares who your father is? You’ve broken the law so you have to bear legal responsibility now, do you understand? Even if your father is the king, you still have to go to the police station today!”

“No… I’m not going!” Xi Shu shook her head desperately.

Xi Wan said, “Your crime will be aggravated if you don’t go and you’ll have to be sentenced for an even longer time.”

With that said, the police stepped forward and dragged Xi Shu out.
