A Disappointed Younger Brother

Looking at the unfamiliar number, Xi Wan hesitated for a moment but still answered it.

“You’re Xi Ze’s parent, right? He’s fighting in school, come over and settle it!”

A serious middle-aged man’s voice came from the other end of the phone. Before Xi Wan could say anything, the call was hung up rudely.

Xi Wan was no longer in the mood to put on makeup. “Who is this Xi Ze?”

The system immediately reminded her, [ He’s your biological brother. He’s studying in the same college as your half-sister from the same father, but he’s different from Xi Shu, who has her eyes on the position of the Xi family’s heiress. He’s more like a ruffian and has never told anyone about his family background. ]

Xi Wan frowned. “Didn’t you say that Xi Shu didn’t get into a good university and was studying abroad? ”

[Yes, but your father spent money to get her a place as an exchange student, so she’s now in the same university as Xi Ze. Although your brother is not good at other things, he’s quick when it comes to learning. ]

Xi Wan sighed. “Shouldn’t they look for Xi Kang for this kind of thing? Why come to me?”

[ Xi Kang has a new wife now, which is equivalent to you two having a step-mother. Xi Kang’s heart is already set on Wang Rui and Xi Wan, why would he care about you two? ]

Xi Wan’s eyes flashed with pity. “What a pitiful child. His father didn’t dote on him, and his mother isn’t around.”

[ There’s also a sister who disdains him. ]

Xi Wan ignored the system. After putting on some simple makeup, she got up and prepared to go to Xi Ze’s campus. As soon as she went downstairs, she saw Kong Shuo preparing to return to his own university. After asking him some questions, she found out that Kong Shuo and her brother were in the same school.

Xi Wan was overjoyed. “That’s great! Come with me! My brother was punished by the teacher and now they’ve called me over as his guardian. How would I know where his tutor’s office is? Please lead me there.”

Kong Shuo was surprised to hear that Xi Wan had a younger brother. “Madam, you have a younger brother?”

“Yes, we have the same father and mother.”

Seeing that Xi Wan was not in the mood to say more, Kong Shuo did not ask further.

The school wasn’t close to the villa, and it took 45 minutes to get there by car.

Before Xi Wan even got close to the school, she saw a few people gathered at the school gate. There were three men and three women, all dressed in branded clothes. They were obviously rich.

“Brother ze, you’ve made a big scene this time. The uni has even called your parents. Will your dad beat you up when he comes?” one of the men who had ear studs on his nose, Liu Yuan, said.

Xi Ze’s slender body leaned against the tree at the school gate. The tree’s shadow fell on his face, accentuating his already perfect facial features. In terms of appearance alone, he did not lose to Xi Wan at all.

The corner of Xi Ze’s mouth twitched. “He won’t care about me at all. He’ll only be here for show. Maybe his assistant will come instead of him.”

Xi Ze had long been bitterly disappointed in this so-called father of his.He had lost his mother not long after he was born, so he had long since forgotten what a mother’s love felt like. As for his father, after he married his new wife, his heart was focused on her. On top of that, Xi Ze felt that his own sister was disappointing, and he hated that his father didn’t take him seriously.

At first, he wanted to study hard and perhaps get his father’s attention, but it didn’t work; his father only had Xi Shu in his heart. She was clearly just a fake girl who was good at acting, but whether it was in school or at home, everyone was supporting Xi Shu.

When Liu Yuan heard Xi Ze’s words, he laughed. “You got into a university with your own abilities. You’re much more promising than the rest of us. We just eat and wait for death. But you’re different; after you graduate, even if you don’t inherit the family business, you can still go to a better company. If you want to start a business, we’ll all invest in you.”

Xi Ze smiled. Fortunately for him, he had a few good friends by his side.

Xi Wan happened to overhear this conversation when she got out of the car with Kong Shuo. Xi Ze and the others only noticed her and Kong Shuo’s presence after the two of them stood still.

As she was wearing sunglasses and a hat, Xi Ze did not recognize her at first glance. Instead, he looked at Kong Shuo with displeasure. “What are you doing here? don’t block the way,” he said impatiently.
