Rose proposed an idea that will erase its existence like it’s not a big deal, and Server accepts my confirmation.

Server signals for me to follow it, and I advance with Rose in hand.

As I get closer to the giant machine that looks like a wall, I see things of all sizes are connected there. I advance through gaps between them.

And after going through what feels like a tunnel, I find myself in an open area.

I see a giant, old, and slightly leaning wall clock.

It feels very different from the other machines that surround it. Some made of metal, and some of materials I don’t recognize.

『You seem puzzled.』

“No, I’m not…”

Server stretches both arms towards me. It sounds like Server prepared this just for me. Still, an old clock? Server has strange tastes.

I look down at Rose in my hand, and apart from the shine, nothing is different. Without that shine, it would look like the same old Rose.

Rose notices me staring, and reacts.

It looks like Rose wants to say something, but without the plate to transcribe words, Rose is just moving its flower up and down slowly.

I silently pat the flower once, as a way of saying goodbye, before handing Rose to Server.

『Certainly.』

Server walks over to the wall clock and brings Rose close to it. I hear Server murmur something, and Rose stretches its vine and wraps around the clock.

『I will leave the more delicate control to you. But Rust, you are the core, and you will be the only one left here. Be careful, if you fail, it will all have been for nothing.』

“Yes.”

『Take this.』

Server hands me something that looks like a potion. In fact, it has the same color and smell as the stamina potions I’m so used to drinking.

『Drinking that will protect your spirit during the rollback, and grant you temporary administrator rights. It should taste like the thing you are most used to drinking.』

“…Yes. Thank you for the consideration.”

All I can do is smile awkwardly, and drink it in one gulp.

Server nods, and starts talking, sounding like an oracle.

『Well then, I will begin the rollback.』

And thus, the world starts rolling back.
