Chapter 831 A New Day For The Store(1)

Chapter 831: A New Day for the Store(1)

Thorr city welcomed its first ray of sunlight, dispersing the darkness spread across it.

On seventeenth street, a store had recently opened. It had only one customer, but it was the most famous spot on seventeenth street. Only yesterday, the store owner of that store had committed murders of around thirty Thorrons, creating a terrifying image for him and the store in the hearts of the people.

That store also opened its door, matching the first ray of sunlight. Many Thorrons around the street were leaving since they had been here for an entire day & night cycle. Now, someone else will take their place and manage the store for the day.

At the same time, there were also stores like Aakesh's: they only worked till sunset. Not many people could afford workers for their stores to have it operate day & night.

At this moment, almost all the store and stall owners or workers had learned about what Aakesh did yesterday. They felt a mixture of expressions toward him. Some were jealous because of his talent and background; some hated him for killing someone of their own race, while some felt grateful toward him since Garoun and his goons had acted against them at some point in time.

Uncaring about others' reactions toward him and his store, Aakesh opened the gate to the store from the inside. There was no crowd waiting outside to enter, but today, at least the store got a customer right from its opening.

Since there were no goons stopping Favan today, he reached the store at its opening time and personally witnessed the store owner opening the door.

Aakesh took only one glance at Favan. He then turned around and went to his chair while Favan followed Aakesh with a mixture of respectful and excited expressions.

"Greetings, senior," Favan greeted Aakesh. He changed the way he referred to Aakesh. It sounded absurd to have a late Divine Transformation referring to an early Divine Transformation as a senior. But those who were there yesterday wouldn't find it ridiculous. They saw from their own eyes how Aakesh, an early Divine Transformation, casually killed a late Divine Transformation level cultivator.

Aakesh only nodded in response. Not making Aakesh wait long, Favan requested his purchase.

The next moment, he pulled out thirty-five lesser Sacred stones from the bulging pouch tied to his waist. The bag turned empty after Favan took the amount out since he learned his lesson after yesterday's scuffle with Garoun's goons.

Aakesh's face showed no reaction as he waved his hands. The next moment, all the stones disappeared from the store, while Aakesh told Favan to go ahead and enter Panagea.

After expressing his gratitude to Aakesh with excitement, Favan moved toward the portal room. The aura around him subtly began to change as he drew nearer to the room.

The route Favan had taken to complete his quest was still fresh in his mind. Favan was sure that today would be the day when he accomplished the goal of the mission and unlocked energy use. As he recalled, his aura started to match that of someone who was cruel to both themselves and others because the procedure would remain the same as yesterday.

As for Aakesh, he looked in the direction of the door. He closed his eyes and started the first of several relaxation sessions after noticing the terrified faces of those moving in front of the store's gate. Aakesh made the decision not to stress over whether or not the store would have customers today because it was entirely dependent on luck.

"HOW DARE YOU?" A roar filled with killing intent rang in the area.

The surrounding was an open area filled with a garden of flowers. The current scene looked terrifying as the flowers began to wither while a giant man raged in anger.

The man was none other than Garoun's father, who had only gotten information about his son getting killed by some non-demon store owner.

Garoun was the only child and had gained his notoriety from his father. The father was the same when he was young. Since Garoun was the only child, he had been pampered from birth. But lately, the relations between father and son haven't been well due to Garoun's mother being terribly ill. If there was someone whom the father pampered more than Garoun was his wife. The wife was the sole reason behind the man's personality change. Unlike many Divine Lords, the father never married again as he felt it would not only be unfair to the wife but also to his love for her.

Garoun's father was already stressed with his wife being ill; he couldn't handle more worry due to his son. So for the past few months, he rarely contacted his son after seeing Garoun's indifference toward his mother's illness.

The flower garden was solely cultivated for his wife, so he would spend some time here every day to calm his heart.

Today was the same as usual. First, the father went to check on his wife. His heart felt unbearable pain whenever he saw his wife in pain, but since destiny had willed it, he had no other choice. He tried everything in his power to treat his wife, but unfortunately, his large amount of wealth was nothing but a drop of the ocean required for the treatment.

After sitting with his wife for a few hours, the father returned to the garden. He then began to reminisce about his happy moments with his wife.

In the Sacred dimension, there was no age limit, making the possibility of eternal love present. The father felt his love to be such with his wife.

Garoun was only a few thousand years old, but his parents had been married for several hundred thousand years. Garoun was a result of a lot of hard work.

As the father thought about Garoun, he felt a wave of rage passing through his body. Only he knew how much he and his wife had struggled to have him. But now that his mother was ill, he didn't feel it worth checking on him when she pampered Garoun so much.

"That bastard! The next time he asks for money, I am going to break his hands and legs," The father muttered in anger, remembering his useless son.
