Chapter 789 Moment of Weakness(4)

Chapter 789: Moment of Weakness(4)

Everyone in Brinda’s generation knew who killed their father.

Pento was the first to know since it didn’t take a genius to consider the scenes.

Pinto, the previous King, died the same day he had summoned the store owner. Pento had also pleaded with his father not to do this, but his father had gone ahead and done it.

Whenever Pento thought about the situation of his father punishing the store owner, he felt chills run down his spine.

The extinction of the Schiller family was still fresh in the memories of siblings, even after around a thousand years had passed since that unfortunate day.

“Brinda, let things of the past stay in the past,” The eldest sibling also chimed in, as he didn’t want Brinda to say the name out loud.

“Do you not feel terrible that despite knowing your father’s killer, we can’t avenge him?” Brinda asked her siblings.

She had long forgotten the hatred she had toward Aakesh for killing her father. She only asked because she didn’t want even a single sibling of hers to waste time thinking of revenge.

“Haha, revenge!”

Pento couldn’t help but laugh after hearing Brinda’s question.

“Revenge for who?”

“The father who punished me without a second thought, or the king who in his greed, put the entire family at risk.”

Pento’s eyes turned red, and his voice got louder as he looked at his siblings.

“I still remember the day when I pleaded with him against doing it.”

“If any of you are thinking of revenge, forget it. If you can’t forget it, I will cut your heads off. We should instead be grateful toward the st-that person.”

“Don’t you remember what happened with the Schiller family?”

Pento spoke as his eyes had turned cold.

Everyone in the room, including Brinda, couldn’t help but shudder, remembering what happened with the Schiller family.

Time flew by. Since it was Brinda’s last day in the Primal dimension, they stopped talking about their father, and instead, they began discussing the development they would have after Brinda left.

The conversation finally came to an end as everyone in the room stood up and got ready to leave.

“Don’t treat Glenn as an outsider, and support him,” Brinda suddenly said. The tone wasn’t clear about whether it was a request or an order, but the other siblings nodded and announced their complete support to Glenn for becoming the next Emperor.

“Pento, I will ask you once again. Do you want to become the prime minister of the Empire?”

A voice rang in Pento’s head as he was leaving.

Pento stopped in his steps and turned around with a smile on his face.

Brinda couldn’t help but smile wryly as she already got the answer from Pento’s smile.

Brinda wanted someone from her generation to support Glenn as the prime minister. It would help stabilize the Empire as well as take some burden off the shoulders of Glenn.

Brinda had Pento in her eyes for the post, but Pento had no interest in doing it.

Time flew by, and the sun finally set on the Anga continent.

Light lamps decorated the cities in the Empire, as no one was going to sleep tonight.

“I know you also want to ascend and don’t have enough interest in the throne,” Brinda said as she was seated upon her throne in the throne room.

A few meters in front of her stood a handsome man, who looked in his early twenties. The man was none other than Glenn, who was going to be crowned as the next Emperor from tomorrow.

“Then, why are you forcing me to do it?” Glenn asked. His voice differed from the respectful way he was standing.

“You are speaking to your Emperor, not your aunt,” Brinda’s face turned cold as she growled.

The next moment, a pressure descended upon Glenn, forcing him to fall to his knees.

“Don’t speak till you are ordered to,” Brinda coldly said as she looked at the pale-faced Glenn.

“I didn’t spend that amount of resources on you just because you have potential. You are my blood, and that’s why I am choosing you as the next Emperor.”

“Give me a drop of your blood,” Brinda suddenly ordered Glenn.

Glenn’s face turned solemn as he already understood the reasoning behind it. Glenn wanted to refuse, but when he saw the cold eyes of his aunt, he took out a drop of blood from his pocket space and handed it to Brinda.

Brinda then unlocked her badge from her dress and poured Glenn’s drop of blood on it.

The next moment, Glenn felt a chain binding his soul. His face couldn’t help but turn pale as he read the new piece of information that had appeared in his mind.

Brinda had used the drop of Glenn’s blood to make a vow. Its content was set up in such a way that Glenn would not be able to negatively affect the Empire.

“Groom the next heir, and then you can ascend as well,” Brinda gently told Glenn as she returned to her aunt persona. She then stepped forward and patted her nephew’s shoulder.

“I will leave this Empire to you,” Brinda’s voice slightly broke as she took down her crown and put it atop Glenn’s head.

Glenn couldn’t help but look at Brinda in shock since it was the first time he had seen her showing a moment of weakness.

“Everyone thinks that the store has the most to do with the development of this Empire from just a tiny Kingdom,” Brinda added, her voice further breaking down.

Sniff!

“I have also worked very hard for it. I don’t even remember the last day I had a laugh before today due to the worries. Ple-please, don’t let all of my sacrifices go in vain,” Brinda’s eyes became moist.

Glenn felt uncomfortable as he looked into the eyes of his aunt. All the anger he had regarding Brinda forcing the throne on him disappeared at that moment as he promised her, “Aunty, I will never let your sacrifice go in vain.”

A drop of tear left Brinda’s eyes, but a smile also adorned her face as she patted Glenn’s head and couldn’t help but brush them slightly.

Glenn couldn’t help but become embarrassed as he was several centuries old, and his hair was getting brushed.
