Chapter 705: A New Day with New Customers(12)

“Hello, store owner,” The Sun Elf greeted Aakesh as his turn finally arrived in the queue.

Aakesh expressionlessly nodded in response to Elv’s greeting.

“I am William Asquith, the prince of the Sun Elves,” The Elf introduced himself. His tone contained respect when he talked to Aakesh, but the pride in it couldn’t be hidden when he introduced himself as the prince.

Aakesh still had the same expressionless reaction as he also introduced himself by only stating his name. He didn’t care whether his customer was a prince or a commoner. These nobility titles mattered to those who were weaklings. For those of his level, these titles were nothing but showoff.

Aakesh had heard of the Asquith family as Asquith was the name of the first Sun Elf created by the World Tree. Asquith was also the first Sun Elf to ascend to the Sacred dimension and then the third dimension. When Aakesh was completing the quest to learn about the races, Asquith was still alive at that moment. As for now, Aakesh had no idea of his survival.

Asquith was a warrior in the same group as Kartikeya, a member of the Peacock race, but he was slightly weaker than Kartikeya if they were to face the battle. Surviving a single strike from Kartikeya was already a big deal, so being only a little weaker than Kartikeya defined the strength of Asquith in the Multiverse.

The Asquith family began in the name of their founder, and in no time, it had become the overlord of the Primal dimension. There were several families in the Sun Elf race, but only the Asquith family had the divine right to rule the race since they were the direct descendant of Asquith with another directly created Elf.

The smile on William’s face froze after seeing no interest in the store owner’s eyes after he stated his title. He had heard of the deeds of the Asquith family all his life, so seeing no interest in the store owner’s eyes after mentioning the name came out as a big shock to William.

‘Eh! I forgot I am not in the Sacred dimension, but in the Primal dimension,’ William thought in his heart as he smiled wryly the next moment.

“Aakesh, you must not know what my surname entails in the Sacred dimension-“

William wanted to see the look of shock in Aakesh’s eyes, so he decided to tell the story of the Asquith family to him. But his voice came to a sudden halt as Aakesh suddenly cut his sentence off in between and told him that he was aware of the history of the family he was so proud of.

Aakesh then added further and revealed a secret William wanted to hide from others. William looked to be in his twenties, but in reality, he was only a child.

If it were William’s actual level, Aakesh wouldn’t have been able to see through William’s disguise since he was a God despite only being a child and was several times more strong than Aakesh. Unfortunately for William, he was in the Primal dimension, and the traveling talisman used by him was only an ordinary one, so his strength here was only equivalent to the late Immortal.

“H…how did you know?” William got flustered after Aakesh revealed his secret, but he soon regained his calm and completed his question in clear words after remembering the title he represented after introducing himself.

“Do you want to know about the store products?” Aakesh ignored William’s question and instead expressionlessly asked.

Aakesh rarely asked this question from customers but since William was only a child, he didn’t mind asking it.

William wanted to flare up after seeing Aakesh ignoring his question, but he soon controlled himself.

William was only a child of twelve years of age. It took William’s mother seventeen thousand years to give birth to William, so he wasn’t even equivalent to the time he had carried in his mother’s womb. The Elf race was one of the long-living races. Even if they were not to cultivate, an ordinary Elf could live for around a thousand years, while a royal Elf with a strong bloodline could live up to tens of thousands of years even without being able to cultivate.

So for the long-living races like Elves, twelve years was too short to consider it anything. William, who came from the direct branch of Asquith, the first Sun Elf, could live for even longer.

Aakesh could sense that something was going on with William as William being outside his family’s protection at this short age wasn’t possible.

But since Aakesh had no interest in knowing what the situation was, he didn’t ask. Despite only being a child, William was still a late Immortal, and inside the store, nothing could happen to him. As for what happened outside the store, it had nothing to do with Aakesh and the store.

***

Aakesh was correct in his conjecture that William’s family wouldn’t leave him out of their protection at this short age.

William’s father, Andrew Asquith, was the current head of the Sun Elves. Andrew had seven children before the birth of William, which was a lot when considering the low fertility rate of the Elves. Unfortunately for Andrew, all seven of his children were female.

The Asquith family prohibited females from sitting on the throne in order to maintain the bloodline of the Sun Elves. The head of the sun Elves could have as many opposite-sex partners as they wanted. Unfortunately wasn’t possible for the females of the Asquith family since they gave birth and the Asquith family would never tolerate their female giving birth to a member of another race.

They were destined to marry their brother and give pure-blooded members to the Asquith family for the next generation. Due to its bias, many females have tried to break this rule over the years. But since it was imposed by Asquith himself and imprinted on the bloodline of the Sun Elves, those females who attempted to break it lost their bloodline, becoming a bunch of ordinary Elves with no ability to cultivate.

In the era where strength was supreme, having no ability to cultivate was no less than suicide, and that too when female Elves had their beauty matched by only a few races in the Multiverse.

Andrew’s long wait for a male descendant finally came to an end when his second sister/third wife gave him a boy.
