Chapter 562

Chapter 562: Surprise

The being finally presented itself to Aakesh.

The being sat on a throne. There was a foggy cloud surrounding the figure, but the chair the person sat on was visible. The right hand made of the Light Dragon skin, and the armrest position was the head, while the left hand made of the Dark Dragon skin, and similarly, the armrest with its head.

The throne had four legs, with the right two legs made of the Light Dragon’s horns and the left two legs made of the Dark Dragon’s horn.

The Light Dragon and the Dark Dragon were top factions of the Dragon race. The leaders of these two factions competed with the mightiest talents of the Asura and the Yaksha race, so the throne made of their skin and head would come as a surprise to many knowing members. But not Aakesh or those who knew the identity of the being seated on the throne.

“Come, sit with us. I have promised Lilith that if you passed the world created by Jamini in less than fifty years, I would give you an audience,” The being seated on the throne laughingly commented and waved his hands.

The next moment, two chairs made with the same feature appeared in front of Aakesh and Lilith.

Aakesh nodded and sat on it, while Lilith also followed, and they both sat on their respective chairs.

Like Aakesh’s chair, this chair was also made of the fur of the same creature, so it was also comfortable.

As Aakesh and Lilith sat on their chairs, the foggy cloud surrounding the being on the chair disappeared, and his appearance presented itself to Aakesh.

On the chair, a being having the same height as Aakesh sat. A muscular chest, sharp nose, and black hairs that covered the half of the right eye were only one of the few best features of the man.

The most distinctive feature was the eyes. Black sclera that held most darkness than even the depth of the Abyss had, silver pupil, shining eve brighter than the sun, and finally the orange iris. The iris looked to be the simplest part of the eye, but those who knew the being would never think of such. The orange iris was an active flame and the mightiest flame in all the three dimensions at that. Burning endlessly for eternity was only one of its many features.

“How are you alive? Didn’t you lose the battle, and the Deva killed you?” Aakesh expressionlessly asked the being in front of him.

The being seated in front of Aakesh was none other than the terror known to the Multiverse. Vritrasura, the owner of the Limitless Physique; the being who even forced a Deva to fight with him; and even survived for twelve seconds in that battle.

(A/N: Many readers may remember that the Vritrasura defined in the Panagea was different in appearance. It’s because Vritrasura has several transformations.)

Lilith gawkily looked at Aakesh as she never expected him to explicitly mention the part about ‘Him’ getting defeated against the Deva.

‘Did he not fear death?’ Lilith couldn’t help but think.

Vritrasura’s lips twitched as even he didn’t expect Aakesh to explicitly ask it, but he maintained his smile and answered, “You are too weak to know the answers.”

Aakesh nodded as he also understood what Vritrasura said. He was too weak to know something that had to do with the Deva and Vritrasura.

“Why did you want to meet me?” Aakesh then questioned as he had nothing else to ask from the Vritrasura. Since all the questions he had were related to the death and revival, so instead of hearing ‘you are too weak to know’, Aakesh decided not to waste his or Vritrasura’s time.

Even though Vritrasura had earlier mentioned his promise to Lilith that he would meet Aakesh if Aakesh cleared the ruler’s world in less than fifty years, he didn’t believe it. Someone of the stature of Vritrasura wouldn’t have any interest in someone like Aakesh, who was nothing but an ant when it came to the Multiverse unless Aakesh had something that Vritrasura wanted.

“I wanted to thank you for freeing Jamini,” Vritrasura responded which was out of expectation of both Aakesh and Lilith.

“Freeing Jamini?” Aakesh couldn’t help but ask.

“Yes, why do you think someone like me would be bound to a place for this many years?” Vritrasura replied.

“Isn’t that because of the Deva?” Aakesh uttered the first reason that came to his mouth.

“Boy, things are what it seems on the outside,” Vritrasura replied in a mysterious way.

“Why the condition of fifty years then?” Lilith chimed in and asked after Vritrasura told Aakesh and her about Jamina being sealed and clearing the world being the key behind freeing her.

“Haha, because that is the time taken by a top genius to clear it according to him,” Vritrasura replied, referring to someone; who neither Aakesh nor Lilith knew. But both of them had an idea; it must be the being that had sealed Jamina.

“Why didn’t you unseal Jamina then. No one is more powerful than you in the Multiverse if the Devas didn’t involve themselves,” Aakesh asked.

“As I said, things are different than what it looks from the outside. You don’t need to think about it for now; you are too weak,” Vritrasura responded.

“You only have to remember one thing; I am the good guy,” Vritrasura further added.

Even Aakesh, who stays in control of his emotions, couldn’t help but be dumbfounded by what the Vritrasura said.

“You massacred more than a trillion races. They are still extinct. You exploited all three dimensions, making many precious materials extinct for the majority…” Aakesh couldn’t help himself but state the deeds Vritrasura had committed.

“Haha,” Vritrasura only laughed in response to Aakesh.

“Here, this is for you,” Vritrasura waved his hands, and soon, a box appeared in his hands.

Aakesh took the box, checked the contents, and put the box into his pocket space.

A/N: Many may have felt uncomfortable reading that the system is weak and couldn’t restrict Vritrasura from snooping on Aakesh’s thoughts since, in the system novels, the system is the strongest entity. The system in my book is different. It’s Aakesh that is the entity, while the system is just a helper, making him slowly remember his past and his duty.
