Chapter 548

Chapter 548: Journey to the End(4)

After Aakesh gently plucked the leaves, the tree remained the same as at the end of the Epoch, and it would give birth to another leaf.

(An Epoch= 1 septillion years(Deva dimension))

The tree was called the ‘Epochal Tree’. Its leaves were one of the core materials used in the pill, but the tree had no other use than that. If not for the leaves, it would have been any other ordinary tree.

Aakesh had no interest in growing the tree since he didn’t have use of the leaves, and he didn’t even need them. Aakesh had already reached the limit of ascendance, and as soon as the system greenlighted it, he could ascend to the sacred dimension.

Aakesh then left the area in search of the most precious material in the garden.

Time flew by.

It has been forty-six years since Aakesh entered the world.

He had just gotten out of the garden after receiving his reward for crossing the ninety-eight step.

Even though Aakesh had crossed ninety-eight steps, the stair still seemed never-ending to him.

From the fifty year goal Aakesh had set to pass the world, only three years and seven months were left, and he still couldn’t see the end of the stair.

Despite that, Aakesh was confident in his goal as his journey speed increased with each success.

Even though the danger in exams was increasing at a dangerous rate, fortunately for Aakesh, he didn’t see any other test like the one he had to face to reach the first step.

Similarly, Aakesh had also grown stronger even quicker than he grew after the training with Autumn and Katrina, which went even out of his expectations.

After exiting the garden, Aakesh called out his status to see how much he had grown from the last time he checked it.

The next moment, a dark blue opaque screen appeared in front of Aakesh. Golden fonts then started appearing on it.

Personal Status:

Aakesh couldn’t help but nod in appreciation, seeing the amount of growth he had made in the past forty-three years.

If Aakesh were to change his attributes to the amount he had gained in the past forty-six years after a lot of struggle, his strength would still take him to the top of the Primal dimension, only second to the Void beasts.

The difference in his agility and strength had grown vast, and it was due to the test he took before reaching the first step. More than eighty percent of the increase was what he had earned after that struggle for more than nine years.

Now Aakesh hoped for the following tests to help him get an increase in his strength just like he had gotten in agility since he didn’t like the vast difference between his attributes.

Aakesh then thought of the status disappearing, and not long after, the blue screen started fading out, and in the end, entirely disappeared, waiting for Aakesh to call it again once he needed it.

Aakesh then finally focused on the area in front of him.

The stair could be seen precisely ten thousand km away from the spot he currently stood.

Miraculously, Aakesh could see the entire distance without any restriction on him this time.

The land of ten thousand km had been divided into four sections of the same area, no matter what direction Aakesh turned.

Each area contained a different element, and if Aakesh wanted to reach the stair, he would have to cross all the four sections, but just from standing here, Aakesh could see a raging ice storm around two thousand km away from him.

The raging ice storm in its wrath was not even sparing the space around it, and it was still a few hundred km away from the end of the section. Aakesh could clearly see the extent of things he was going to face.

Since Aakesh had no choice but to continue if he wanted to pass the world, and since he only had three years and seven more months left from reaching fifty years, Aakesh decided not to waste even a second standing here and raised his right foot.

The next moment, his right foot landed on the first of the four sections.

“DUB!”

As soon as Aakesh’s right foot landed, he sensed him going down as what welcomed him was a lake.

Aakesh could sense that the notion of thinking that he saw everything that was happening across the four sections was wrong, and it was only to misjudge his actions as he had seen an icy surface, but what welcomed him was water. Even the Energy Overseer made him see dark blue light dots, which signified ice.

Time flew by.

Aakesh finally crossed the lake spanning over a few hundred km. If someone were to be here, they would’ve noticed that the water wasn’t clear blue like it was before, but it was now a mixture of several colors. The smell permeating from it would give up the color’s identity as a bloody smell that could make even an established killer puke spread across the area.

When Aakesh fell into the lake, he faced an assault from several beasts living in it. Aakesh could only swim to the other side since the restrictions on him didn’t allow him to walk on water. Unfortunately for the beasts living underwater, Aakesh held no mercy for those who attacked him, so he killed every creature living in it even when they tried to escape.

Yet after conducting a massacre, not even a speck of blood could be seen across Aakesh’s body as the subconscious pressure released by his bloodline forcefully disintegrated any blood that approached him and attempted to make him dirty.

As soon as Aakesh got out of the lake, the warm temperature suddenly decreased at a dangerous rate. This sudden decrease in temperature meant a severe and life-threatening situation for someone who just came out of the water, but not for Aakesh. He walked as if the cold did not affect him at all.
