Chapter 537

Chapter 537: Reaching the Stairs(1)

After his last attack, Aakesh finally had a way to move ahead without stepping on the ground and getting thrown back every time to take a step forward.

When Aakesh had used 99.99999% of his power in the last attack, the grey-colored light dots had made the same amount of movement even when Aakesh used his weakest attack.

Even though it was only one-hundred thousandth less, the grey-colored light dots had made the same movement. It signified that no matter how much power Aakesh used, if it weren’t Aakesh’s full power, the grey-colored light dots would ignore it. And the ground would continue to be a hard surface, only to turn into an elastic surface when they would sense Aakesh’s foot approaching it.

Similarly, Aakesh sensed another thing. When Aakesh used the energy beam at his full power, the grey-colored light dots had made the movement of a similar amount when compared with Aakesh’s foot.

But when Aakesh used the rotating ball at his full power, the grey-colored light dots had made much more movement than his foot or the energy beam. It signified a beneficial situation for him. The more powerful his attack at his full power was, the more the grey-colored light dots would move away, giving Aakesh even more time to set his foot without getting thrown back on the ground.

The discovery excited Aakesh as he had finally found a way to move forward and reach the stairs since Aakesh could feel that the stairs would allow him to pass the world and go to the ruler’s continent.

Aakesh then decided to see the amount of movement the grey-colored light dots would make, if he were to use his ultimate skill, Apocalyptic Blast.

Since Aakesh had decided to do something, he didn’t wait for long, and soon a dark-colored energy ball started gathering on his palm.

Since Aakesh needed to release his full power or the grey-colored light dots wouldn’t make a movement to turn the ground into a rubbery surface, Aakesh transferred energy to the energy ball without stopping, and it continuously grew in size.

Not long after, Aakesh stopped transferring any further energy since Aakesh and the energy ball both had reached their limits.

Aakesh’s eyes then fell on the unfortunate spot that had already turned into a pit. Since Apocalyptic Blast didn’t affect Aakesh even if he were to be in the midst of it, Aakesh did not need to cover himself with Counter Shield or throw the energy ball some distance away from him to brace for the impact.

Aakesh then, without waiting for even a second, threw the energy ball spanning the same size as him.

“BOOM!”

The next moment, an explosion louder than ever rang in the area as the unfortunate spot had now actually turned into a pit a meter wide and several meters in depth.

The blast also released an unbelievable amount of dust and heat, but since the heat didn’t affect Aakesh, and as for the dust, Aakesh’s physique was strong enough to feel nothing from it.

Aakesh didn’t care for the dust covering his vision since he had his focus on the grey-colored light dots.

As Aakesh had expected, the amount of movement made by the grey-colored light dots was almost twice the amount the dots had moved away when they sensed Aakesh’s foot approaching it.

Aakesh became excited. If he used the Apocalyptic Blast at his full power, he would have twice the time to take a step forward.

But Aakesh’s excitement didn’t continue for long after witnessing the deep pit the Apocalyptic Blast had created.

Since the pit only had a width of around one meter, Aakesh could cover that distance with his single step without falling into it. But Aakesh needed to use the skill continuously, which may create trouble for him since, with so many nearby pits, the ground would turn unstable.

Aakesh thought about this situation for a while. But after he got no solution for the ground turning unstable due to several nearby pits in the future, Aakesh decided to stop thinking about it and focus on what was in front of him now.

Aakesh hoped that the distance between the stairs and him was only around nine km which wasn’t very far, and the surface here was more stable due to the ruler’s accomplishments, so the ground wouldn’t turn unstable in this close stretch.

Since Aakesh had a solution in his hands to continue his journey, Aakesh decided to wait no more.

He stood up from his chair and asked the system to take it back.

With all the restrictions on him, Aakesh could cover a distance of six meters in a step, so Aakesh decided to choose the ground beneath him as the next spot for the Apocalyptic Blast.

“BOOM!”

Not long after, an explosion of the same intensity as the last time rang as a pit spread across one meter appeared on the ground.

But Aakesh didn’t care for it as he had already taken a step forward.

Aakesh’s right foot’s upper half had stabilized itself on the ground when the grey-colored light dots sensed an intrusion. They stopped their further movement and quickened their return.

“CRASH!”

The next moment, a loud crashing sound rang in the area as Aakesh turned out to be the slowest and got thrown back with an unprecedented amount of force.

Even though the landing was rough, Aakesh didn’t need to activate Counter Shield since the slightly yellow dhoti he was wearing had more than enough defensive strength to handle the crash.

Aakesh’s face was expressionless as he stood up from the ground and looked around.

The distance between him and the stairs had grown by more than two hundred and seventy km with this thrown back force, but Aakesh didn’t care about it since he had a solution to continue further.

He only thought about how to be quicker than the returning speed of the grey-colored light dots since even with agility surpassing the 2.5 billion mark, he was on the lower end.

After the last scene, Aakesh was sure that he would need to increase his speed if he wanted to reach the stairs without getting thrown back. With it, another realization dawned on him. Since he was slower, didn’t that mean he would get thrown back even further?

With this realization, Aakesh knew the difficulty of reaching the stairs was no joke.
