Chapter 498

Chapter 498: The World that Throws Challenge after Challenge(3)

“Father, it’s all on you,” Norman complained as the scenes of his life over these years passed through his eyes. He then lost his consciousness, unaware that a green blob of light had appeared right after it and engulfed the entirety of him.

The deep gash then started healing at a visible rate as the wound on his heart recovered first.

One second passed, two seconds passed, three seconds passed, and just like that, seven seconds had passed.

The green light surrounding Norman disappeared, and with it, all kinds of injuries, external or internal, physical or mental, had completely recovered.

Soon, his fingers moved, and then the phenomena spread across his entire body, and not long after, his eyelids moved, and he opened his eyes.

“Am I in heaven?” Norman asked as he found his surroundings blurry. “No, how can I be in heaven? It must be hell,” He further added as he rubbed his eyes to see his surroundings clearly.

“Eh!” The next moment, Norman exclaimed in shock as he found the surroundings to be familiar and him free of any injury at all.

“How?” Norman asked himself as he couldn’t believe the scene in front of him.

“Did that blob work?” Norman asked as he remembered the blob the Void beast had given him and Lenna before entering the portal.

Norman hadn’t forgotten the blob of energy. Around ten years ago, he had gotten seriously injured. He had then attempted to use it to heal himself, but it hadn’t worked, and it had taken him around a year to recover from the wounds. This incident had made him curse the Void beast as well as lose trust in the blob.

“Forgive me, o honorable Void beast, for cursing you,” Norman joined his hands together and asked for forgiveness, looking at the sky covered with darkness, for using so many curses on the Void beast.

His eyes then fell on the dead creature lying on the ground not far from him. The corpse was slowly dissolving into particles, and it was moving up in the sky.

His eyes got red with anger as the creature was the reason for him falling into a precarious situation.

After the death of the creature, the restrictions on him disappeared. He jumped and directly landed on the already half unrecognizable face of the creature.

A few seconds later, the creature’s corpse entirely dissipated into particles, but before that, Norman had destroyed the half-disfigured face of the corpse to satiate his anger.

“It’s still on you, father,” He then yelled as he cursed his father for forcing him to enter this shitty land, where he had come close to death so many times.

“Where am I?” A figure disguised as a human commented.

Soon, the disguise worn by the figure disappeared, and a Titan presented itself.

Since the Titan entry into the Primal dimension, Titans had been doing random tasks to spend time since they could neither ascend nor could they die since they only have a limited number of people in the race, and they didn’t want to decrease that.

The Titan was named Erica, and if Eris(The First-ranked territory owner in Panagea) were to be present here, he would’ve recognized the figure since both the figure shared a blood relation. Erica was Eris’s elder sister with the same mother but a different father when they were alive.

Erica was a female Titan, but her appearance would’ve put a man who loved bulky bodies to shame.

Erica was living an ordinary life with a loving husband and eight children in one of the tribes near the Mysterious peak.

The sudden disappearance of the Mysterious peak caused mayhem across the tribe she lived in, resulting in a riot breaking out.

Erica lived as an ordinary woman, but when her husband in the tribe fell in danger, she had no choice but to reveal a little of her strength.

Erica then successfully rescued her husband, but the situation didn’t pan out as expected. The husband was horrified, learning that his wife, whom he had been married to for twenty years, was someone else.

The husband then ran away from Erica with his youngest daughter, who was only eight months old right now.

The husband was midway on his journey when he noticed his daughter slowly dissipating into the light.

“She isn’t real,” At that moment, a familiar voice rang in the ears of the husband, and it sent chills down his spine.

The husband, with a horrified expression, turned around only to notice the woman he called his wife floating in the air. He then asked as his voice trembled, “What do you mean? She isn’t real.”

“It means she isn’t real. None of our children are real. They were just an illusion created by me. I can’t produce children,” Erica emotionlessly told the man. She then snapped her fingers. The next moment, the eight-month-old girl in the man’s hand vanished as if she was never there.

At the same time, the remaining seven children spread across the tribe or other parts of the Anga continent also disappeared.

Erica’s eldest son was hugging his wife to calm her down due to all this mayhem across the tribe. He then suddenly vanished out of nowhere, sending another round of alarm in the tribe.

“Why did you do that?” The man, using all his willpower, angrily yelled at the stranger woman he once loved unconditionally.

“I saved you, and yet you ran away from me when it was supposed to be your fortune for sleeping with someone like me,” Erica ignored the man’s question and emotionlessly commented.

“It’s my fault for getting attached to you,” Erica further added. “The more you live, the more misery I will have, so you need to die,” Her voice turned chillier, and she continued.

The man couldn’t even understand what had happened when out of nowhere, a tiny flame caught his legs.

“ARGH!” The man screamed in pain as an unbearable amount of pain attacked him. The fire slowly got bigger and engulfed the entirety of the man, turning him into nothing more than ashes.

While all this happened, Erica emotionlessly looked at the scene. A drop of tear then streamed through her cheeks, but before it could leave her face, an invisible force attacked it and disintegrated it.
