Chapter 413: One Person vs. an Organization(8)

"If you tell me about the arrow, I would help you in fighting against the Demonic-Fire," The Void beast told Aakesh after taking a cursory glance at the card Aakesh had just given.

Helping Aakesh was against the principles on which the Void beast, but an arrow potent enough to kill its ilks went way above their ethos.

Almost all races, creatures, including Aakesh, thought that the Void beasts were so peaceful and stayed away from any issues because the Deva had ordered them. But it wasn't the truth. The Deva had only a single order for the eleven Void beasts after their creation, and that was to protect the Primal dimension from doom at any cost.

They were so peaceful because they had no challenge in the Primal dimension, but today it has changed. Aakesh's arrow proved the capability of killing them.

Despite knowing that someone who had the ability to kill a Void beast wouldn't need its help in attacking an organization, it still asked as it could see that the arrow Aakesh had was limited. Even if Aakesh had more than enough such arrows, the Void beast helping him wouldn't create a problem for it.

Aakesh expressionlessly stared at the Void beast in response to his suggestion. The Void beast didn't disturb Aakesh but waited for him to respond as Aakesh was superior to it in the current situation.

"No!" A few seconds later, Aakesh responded. He took these seconds as he thought of taking the help of the Void beast for only destroying the barrier, but when he asked the system whether that was allowed, the system refused straight away.

Time flew by.

The Void beast finally left after Aakesh promised it not to use the arrow to harm the dimension.

Aakesh then returned to his work of creating a space large enough for him to pass through the barrier.

"See, I told you. The result is already fixed. The best we can do is to postpone it by a few intervals."

After the Void beast left, the darkness returned, and not long after, the voice echoed in the area.

Geoffrey had a horrified yet stupefied expression at the same time due to the sequence of the scenes he just witnessed on the screen. Especially the latter part where the Void beast promised to help the Demonic-Fire some other day.

What was even the point of helping some other day when the organization wouldn't survive today's ordeal?

Even in his dreams, Geoffrey hadn't expected the Void beast to be such a shameless creature.

While he was in shock, he suddenly heard the familiar voice, and it broke him out of his thoughts.

"Did you know about the failure of your mission from the start?" Geoffrey asked the darkness.

"Sigh! Since it's the last time we are conversing, I guess there is no point in hiding anything from you," In response, a sigh, and not long after, a comment rang in the area.

<br/>"When I got the mission, I was warned that there is only one in a sexdecillion chance of success. The success rate was equivalent to impossible to complete, but the reward it granted was so high that even the value of this entire dimension would be worth a fraction of it...," The voice told Geoffrey.

The darkness spreading across the garden also began receding. Soon, it completely vanished, and the owner of the voice presented itself.

"Who are you?" Geoffrey asked in surprise as the being in front of him was entirely different from the beings he had seen in murals in the ruin, responsible for today's situation.

The voice's owner was on his four legs, had dark skin without even a hint of hair. Excluding the four legs, it had two arms, with one hand being in the shape of an ax, while the other being a muscle shield. It had two bull-like horns but way smaller, and similarly, it had the smaller version of elephant tusks. In its entirety, the creature only came up to the waist of Geoffrey.

"I am the voice that's guiding you," The creature responded as it sat down on the ground like any four-legged creature.

It then spat a key out its mouth and told Geoffrey that this key was responsible for controlling him. The ruin from which Geoffrey had gotten the cultivation art was one of many ruins left by the organization the creature worked for.

"What was your goal of coming here? Why would you agree to an impossible mission, regardless of what the reward may be, since you won't survive?" Geoffrey asked the creature.

The creature grinned in response to Geoffrey's question. "Haha, who told you this is the real me? It is just a clone of mine. Irrespective of what happened with it, my real body would stay alive and out of danger," The creature responded.

"As for my goal, you aren't worthy to know," The creature further answered, with a hint of ridicule in its voice.

Geoffrey took a deep breath to calm himself down after listening to the ridiculing tone of the creature. If not for the creature being way more powerful than anything he could fight, he would have killed it.

"Don't be angry. Fate works mysteriously. It was your fortune to enter the ruin and reach this stage, and similarly, it's your destiny to return to dust due to your gain," The creature commented, seeing the aura around Geoffrey.

"Since you're a clone, why don't you fight the store owner," Geoffrey asked the creature since the pressure released by it was even more than the Void beast.

"I can't attack anyone, or the Void beasts would find me, and similarly, the dimension would reject me," The creature responded.

"BOOM!"

Suddenly, they heard a loud explosion sound, and it broke them out of their conversation. They then looked at the screen, only to find that the store owner had succeeded in creating a hole large enough for him to pass.

"GET READY TO DEFEND!," Geoffrey yelled in a voice. It was loud enough for every individual present in the galaxy to hear, including Aakesh.

Before coming here, Aakesh had gotten three Absolute weapons, out of which two were vast area destruction arrows. The single-kill was for the mastermind of the intrusion, while the other two were for bringing death and destruction to them.
