Name:The Fallen Merman Author:
Rimbaud was so tired that he slept on Bai Chunian’s lap throughout the ride. Bai Chunian wanted to change his posture, but when he saw the quiet sleeping face of the omega, he froze languidly and forgot to wake him up.

In fact, Rimbaud slept very deeply because Bai Chunian kept releasing soothing pheromones nonstop along the way, and an alpha’s soothing pheromone was also the best sleeping aid for an omega.

“How do you feel about me?” Bai Chunian stroked his blond hair and pale eyelashes.

He couldn’t get a reply. He turned his head to look out the window with his chin resting in his hand.

The armored car drove into the parking lot of the Alliance Medical Department, and the nurses pushed the stretcher bed to pick up Rimbaud. However, Rimbaud was stuck to Bai Chunian and didn’t want to go down. The more they dragged him, the more he resisted.

“I’ll accompany you inside.” Bai Chunian struggled to hold Rimbaud up with his handcuffed hands, carrying the clingy fish into the injection room.

Rimbaud didn’t like the smell of the hospital’s disinfectant. He kept twisting his body to avoid getting an examination, extremely uncooperative.

“He has a serious injury in his lower body.” Bai Chunian leaned Rimbaud in his arms and firmly pressed down on the swaying fishtail with his palm. “He has ulcers and gash injuries, does he need to be disinfected first?”

The nurse carefully lifted Rimbaud’s fins that covered three inches under his lower abdomen to examine the state of the injury. She frowned and whispered, “It’s very serious, we have to clean off the pus before disinfecting it. The laceration injury can’t be sutured for the time being.”

The fins that covered his lower half were lifted, and Rimbaud suddenly calmed down. When he raised his head, he discovered that Bai Chunian was staring at him. His cheeks slowly turned red, and he stretched out his hands to cover up the place that made him feel embarrassed, just like before.

TN: Went to check the manhua to see if it’s fin or fins lol.

“Stop moving around.” Bai Chunian berated him with a straight face but soft voice.

“En?” Rimbaud froze, then continued to try to extend his hands downwards. Bai Chunian grabbed his two slender wrists and locked them on the top of Rimbaud’s head, binding him for disinfecting.

Rimbaud really hated having his fins lifted to have his private part seen, so he unhappily turned his face to the side.

When the tool full of disinfectant probed inside to check, Rimbaud trembled. A sharp cry of pain came out of his throat, and his body struggled violently. Bai Chunian also shook along with him, lowered his head, and held Rimbaud down, “Don’t move.”

The nurse couldn’t bear it, “It’s because there are many small wounds inside that it became like this. But there is no other way, we can only have him endure. How did he end up like this?”

“I,” Bai Chunian said, “I’ll treat him a bit more gently from now on.”

Hearing the alpha’s words, the nurse knitted her eyebrows and was even more sympathetic towards the pitiful merman omega for meeting a bad husband. Seeing how handsome this alpha was, she didn’t expect that he would have violent tendencies in that aspect.

The rosy color on Rimbaud’s face subsided, and he turned pale from too much pain. His thin wrists struggled in Bai Chunian’s palms, and a circular red mark appeared on the cold, pale skin.

“You… be good.” Bai Chunian leaned over and used his body to press him down. He lowered his head and kissed the tip of Rimbaud’s nose and the corner of his eye. He released his soothing pheromones, drew close to Rimbaud’s ear, and said in a low voice in comfort, “Babe.”

From Rimbaud’s glistening eyelashes, he held a pearl in his mouth.

Rimbaud ceased his struggle, choking on the savory taste of this pleasant way of address. He turned around and hugged onto Bai Chunian’s neck, exposing his back for Bai Chunian to caress his dorsal fin.

Bai Chunian patted Rimbaud’s back, stroking the retracted fin.

He was obviously still a little cub that still needed to be held by his dad. Saying things like having lived long—kids all like to pretend to be adults. Bai Chunian continued to release soothing pheromones for him with peace of mind.

It took ten minutes to disinfect. Rimbaud was in so much pain that he resisted the nurse from getting any closer to him. He turned himself into a ball and rolled back and forth on the hospital bed.

Bai Chunian patiently sat on the edge of the bed to accompany him. He used his body to block the bedside, so the fish on the bed wouldn’t roll to the floor.

A light sound suddenly came from the ward’s door. Bai Chunian turned around and glanced at the small window on the door. A familiar face appeared outside: the Omega Alliance’s president had arrived.

As if having been caught by the class teacher stalking outside the door, Bai Chunian stood up cautiously. Yan Yi opened the door lightly and went in. His hand held a bouquet of white musk roses, which he placed on the low cabinet next to Rimbaud’s bed.

“Boss.” Bai Chunian dragged out a chair for President Yan while he went to stand by the windowsill with a bit of caution. His eyes wandered; looking out the window from time to time.

Yan Yi patted the tabletop, and like a conditioned reflex, Bai Chunian stood straight. He turned around and was forced to look straight into Yan Yi’s eyes. “I know I was wrong.”

“You still don’t know. Xiao Bai.” Yan Yi slightly leaned back on the chair and lightly tapped his fingertips on the tabletop. “Not only did you disobey the rules and my orders, you even made the matter known to everyone. You want to be shot with the crime of a traitor?”

Bai Chunian lowered his eyelids and didn’t utter a word.

Rimbaud sensed that this omega who just entered didn’t have a good aura, so he immediately loosened his body that was wrapped into a fish ball. He arched his back and raised his dorsal fin at Yan Yi. His whole body turned warning red, and he revealed his sharp fangs and claws to threaten him.

The president that was sitting in the chair released a faint sweet scent of oppressive pheromones.

As soon as the gland came into contact with the sweet oppressive pheromones, Rimbaud immediately retracted the aggressive and exploding dorsal fin spike. His fishtail changed from an angry and threatening red back to blue. He cleverly rolled into a ball and rolled to the corner of the bed. He dug a hole in the bedsheet and buried himself in it, pretending that nothing had happened.
