“Don’t move.”

Bai Chunian used the water in the fountain pool to help Rimbaud wash the bloodstain off his cheek and body. He held the tactical dagger and inserted it into the arm belt of his team uniform. Then he pulled out the two anti-detonators from the dead bodies and quickly installed them on Rimbaud’s belt. The self-detonation countdown increased from 1 minute and 9 seconds to 2 hours. 

Rimbaud sat on the marble edge of the fountain, his eyes half-squinted as he raised his head. Water dripped slowly from the wet blond hair, disappearing into the bandages around his neck.

He had just finished a battle. A small amount of pheromone flowed out of his glands, and a faint fragrance of white rose remained on his body.

He originally wanted to scold the fish for disobeying his order, but as he smelled the familiar and warm pheromone smell, Bai Chunian felt soothed. He gently touched Rimbaud’s hair, squatted down, and explained the rules to him in detail. 

“You can only fight when I allow you to. For the rest of the time, you can just find an empty corner and sit there, not thinking about anything.”

Rimbaud’s lips pursed as he pondered, then he opened his mouth and spoke with difficulty, “Aa.”

Bai Chunian ruffled his hair in annoyance. Helping the rabbit get five or six stars was an easy thing, but how to prevent Rimbaud from getting more than seven stars was a big problem.

While he was worried about this matter, Bai Chunian suddenly realized that Rimbaud’s pronunciation was much clearer than before.

“Follow after me. Bai, Chu, Nian.”

“Bai…”

“Bai Chunian.”

“Bai shu… ni…”

“Forget it. Let’s change it to an easier one, call me Chu-ge.”

“Chu-ge.”

“Chu… ge… ge.”

“Good, practice more.”

A few minutes later, Lu Yan and Bi Lanxing arrived at the fountain to meet up with the two. They spread out their mission books and compared them to see if they had tasks with similar content, so they could complete them simultaneously to save time.

The location of Rimbaud, Lan Yi, and Bi Lanxing’s first mission was in the city library.

Bai Chunian glanced at the map twice, it would take 20 minutes to drive to the city library from their current location. The mission was to hand over information to the informants. Theoretically, it wouldn’t take much time, however, the map showed that a fixed ammunition box was placed in the city library. In other words, the city library was a large warehouse that nearby teams would compete for. If they wanted to enter the city library, getting into fights were inevitable. If there was more than one team competing for the ammunition box, their time would definitely be delayed. If the other teams already took away the anti-detonators in the ammunition box, possibly, they’d simply run out of time and get themselves blown up. 

Therefore, going to the city library first wasn’t the best choice.

At this time, Lu Yan said to Rimbaud, “I didn’t expect you to be that impressive. Follow after me.”

Bai Chunian hurriedly held Rimbaud back. “No, he can’t.” If he allowed Rimbaud to attack without restrain, no one in the entire scene would be left alive.

“I think you’re the worst. Move aside and stop talking.” Lu Yan snorted, “We’ll go to the city library later. The powerful teams shouldn’t want to join the fight at the beginning. I want to take advantage of the situation and kill them easily while they’re unarmed. Rimbaud just killed two members of the Death-Row Prisoners team. The other two members should still be nearby. Let’s go and kill them first.”  

Bai Chunian was stunned, this little rabbit was really smart.

The remaining two members of Death Row Prisoners didn’t dare to rashly venture out anymore. They wanted to wait for everyone nearby to leave before stealthily transferring. They suddenly lost two members and now only two left, one of them was a thorny vine alpha and the other was a siamese cat alpha. They couldn’t fight head-on anymore, but they’d still have a possibility to win if they patiently waited with an ambush and sneak attack.

The two alphas hid in the underground garage above the refrigeration plant room’s pipeline and discussed tactics in low voices. 

The thorny vine glands belonged to the highly-aggressive plant-based glands, and Thorny Vine Alpha’s character didn’t belong to people who’d only sit and wait for death. After discussing it with his teammate, they agreed that he would ambush from the vent in the basement. The plants in the vent could camouflage his thorny vines, so any approaching people could be captured quickly. After completing the tactical arrangements, the two held their breaths and waited for the enemy to enter their trap. As long as the enemy had the intention to search for them, there was a good chance they’d walk on this way.

Just as the two of them were holding their breaths paying attention to the trap, Thorny Vine Alpha was suddenly strangled on his neck from behind. Immediately afterwards, a sharp pain came from his waist. A dagger ruthlessly stabbed into his body. Thorny Vine Alpha roared in pain, the health bar on his chest immediately lowered by half. The two immediately turned around but were horrified when they saw no one behind them.

It only took three seconds for everything to happen. Chills suddenly appeared on their backs. The same tactical dagger appeared from the sidewall, viciously stabbing Thorny Vine Alpha’s thigh with extreme force. His health bar rapidly decreased. This action repeated several times. The two alphas of Death Row Prisoners team were frightened and their health bar was almost consumed to the bottom. 

During the last sneak attack Thorny Vine Alpha’s vines could finally entangle the invisible enemy, revealing his true appearance—Lu Yan holding a tactical dagger backward. None of them knew how he appeared here in a flash and how he disappeared after a single stab.

They saw a circular black hole appearing on the wall under Lu Yan’s feet out of thin air. The omega’s rabbit ears shook, then he cut off the thorny vines entangling his body, jumped into the black hole, and disappeared along with it.

Lop-eared Rabbit gland’s J1 differentiation ability, the Cunning Rabbit’s Cave: Establishing dimensional channels in two adjacent spaces and traveling through them freely, but it only worked for the owner alone.

The two alphas finally understood Lu Yan’s abilities and separated to create distance. Their eyes swept and glanced at all locations possible for Lu Yan to appear.

In a split second, a black hole appeared from the roof again. The frantically-growing thorny vines seized this moment, sealed the black hole with sharp thorns, and at the same time, sealed Lu Yan’s retreat.

Thorny Vine gland’s J1 differentiation ability, Barbaric Growth: The mutated genes caused the plants to not follow the laws of nature and grow into what the owner of the glands needed.

The two men worked tacitly together. Lu Yan failed to retreat and panicked. Siamese Cat Alpha seized this opportunity to rush to the vent’s opening and wanted to smash Lu Yan’s ribcage using his own differentiation ability, Acceleration. 

He was just a rabbit omega. He didn’t seem to be an adult yet, and his milky white small face was still fleshy. They were going to pull out his pacifier for him and take his milk powder away to let him know the sinisterness of people’s hearts. 

In a two against one situation, victor and loser was already decided. However, at this moment, the black hole sealed by the thorny vine was suddenly opened by another kind of dark vine. The black vines entangled Lu Yan as fast as a bolt of lightning, and Siamese Alpha Cat hit the black vines with full strength. The vines broke, but Lu Yan was left unscathed. Taking advantage of the moment when Siamese Cat Alpha couldn’t react, the dagger turned to counterattack. 

The iron door of the refrigeration plant room slammed open and Bi Lanxing walked in with a frown. The five black vines were connected with the five fingers of his right hand.

Upas Tree gland’s J1 differentiation ability, Poison Ivy Armor: Ability to completely counteract physical damage. It could be applied to anyone.

Siamese Cat Alpha’s blood emptied out, so he was immediately eliminated, while Thorny Vine Alpha only had a trace of blood left. Bai Chunian casually squatted down in front of him, and ruthlessly pulled the anti-detonator off his belt. 

With a dull sound of an explosion, Thorny Vine Alpha also got eliminated.

Then another announcement came from the city broadcast:

“Xiao Bai, go and take off the other anti-detonators.” Lu Yan wiped off the bloodstains on his tactical dagger. With a twist of his palm, he put it back into his arm belt, then the number on the chest of his black uniform changed from ‘0’ to ‘2.’

Bai Chunian didn’t mind being called Xiaobai by a little rabbit and chuckled. He was obviously shocked by this domineering little rabbit. Along with his rare spatial distortion ability and agility of a rabbit, he couldn’t believe that he was only 15 years old and was innately talented in combat.

The other young alpha was also good. Upas tree belonged to the rare poisonous plant glands. They had both offense and defense, and many routes for development. With more training, they’d play a great role in a team.

It seemed Uncle Jin was worried for nothing. With his son’s strength, achieving five stars on his own wasn’t impossible. In the future, these two children would be the seed members of the major special force and would compete with each other. 

Bai Chunian wandered around in the refrigeration plant room and found a small ammunition box.

The Death Row Prisoners team dared to start a fight because they actually found a random ammunition box, and it was likely that there weren’t many useful materials in the small ammunition box. Bai Chunian only found a recovery injection and an M25 light sniper rifle, but it wasn’t equipped with a scope, no wonder no one took it.

“Lu-ge, do you know how to snipe?” Bai Chunian asked Lu Yan as he laid on the window sill.

Lu Yan was a little embarrassed and hesitated for a while, but felt it necessary to maintain his image as a captain, so he reached out, took the gun, and carried it on his shoulder: “Why not? I-I have trained too.”

Bi Lanxing laughed helplessly on the side.

They stole a BMW from the underground garage, started it with the discharge from Rimbaud’s tail, and went towards the city library. However, they didn’t go straight in. Instead, they found a rooftop on the top floor of the Science and Technology Museum next to the library. The rooftop had a wide view and they could clearly see the movement in the library. 

Lu Yan was a little anxious: “The supplies are going to be completely robbed.”

“The three teams are all in the library. Why should we join the excitement? Baobei, we don’t need to fight a lot of people, we just need to fight the last team.” Bai Chunian leaned his hand under the railing of the corridor and said languidly, “As long as you’re shameless enough, you can grab any equipment.”

Lu Yan laid down on the rooftop again and anxiously tapped his fingertips on the gunstock.

The broadcast in the sky constantly issued the elimination.

Lu Yan bit his lips, closed one of his eyes, aimed seriously for a long time, and then he pulled the trigger. 

He didn’t hit anything and had even alerted the uninjured team members who were concentrating on picking up supplies.

Bai Chunian closed his eyes and comforted: “It was a good shot. Take another shot and hit the one on the elevator.”

Lu Yan wiped the cold sweat off his forehead, aimed for a long time and then shot again, but it missed.

“It’s okay, keep on shooting. The bullets don’t cost money, shoot till it’s empty.”

Bi Lanxing helplessly wiped his tactical dagger, while Lu Yan was still shooting randomly. Rimbaud opened his mouth to pick up the bullet cartridges that popped out of the sniper rifle, and Bai Chunian’s legs were crossed as he hummed a song. The scene at this time seemed quite ridiculous. 

Lu Yan stared at the movements in the library and found that the No Survivors team had turned from defense to offense, and were driving directly towards the Science and Technology Museum where they were now.

“They, they just finished a match, and they shouldn’t have already recovered, right? Are they coming directly to us?” Lu Yan’s brows knitted together from anxiousness.

Bai Chunian: “Isn’t it obvious? Because of your shots earlier, those people thought we’re fools.”

Lu Yan: “[email protected]@@, then why do you want me to shoot?”

Bai Chunian raised his head and smiled: “You’re such a cute little omega. Of course, I’d want to command as I please.”
