Chapter 370 - Continued

"Oh look, our entertainment has arrived everyone!"

Everyone turned around to look at Hao Xuan and Jin Wang standing at the end of the line. Several of them pretended to talk amongst themselves but they were loud enough that rest could hear them clearly.

"Hahaha, look at him."

"Wow, the rumors were true!"

"Why did they let someone like that into the VIP area? Don't they know money can't buy class?"

"Yeah, I'll have to talk to father when I go back. This is entirely unacceptable!"

Hao Xuan was rubbing his temples when out of nowhere he heard the crowd's jeering. Well, it wasn't everyone but more than half the people there decided to comment on the situation while the rest acted like nothing was happening.

'Did I somehow end up in an old historical drama? What the hell is with these guys?'

He wanted to say a few things in return but decided against it. It wasn't worth risking his migraine getting worse so in the end he stayed silent and ignored them completely.

"Haha, I know right? Just stay with the people you belong with. Why put yourself in such situations?"

"Hey come on, the guy is probably retarded. Give him a break yeah?" Micha chimed in with a ridiculous little smirk on his face that would make one's skin crawl.

"Hahaha, they have to be!"

And like that, they continued their remarks and comments for the next couple of minutes until another party arrived. Everyone went silent and stood up straight like they were afraid to look bad.

Micha's expression suddenly turned serious as he stepped aside and bowed from the waist.

"Princess Ceni, Princess Tamela and Princess Orna, I was saving the spot for you! Please!"

It was Ceni's party that had just arrived. Apparently, the two girls in her entourage were also princesses.

She wore a black dress that made her look quite elegant. The other two were also in a similar attire and all of them looked beautiful. They were at least the prettiest ones in that room.

Ceni smiled upon hearing Micha's obvious lie. Normally she would never even use the same entrance as them so no one could know she would be here.

She passed by everyone and went to the front with the other 2 princesses and Alte's group in tow without saying a word. She only gave a slight nod to Micha who had taken the second spot.

Hao Xuan didn't even bother opening his eyes throughout. Ceni was a little surprised when she saw him standing in line but didn't go up to him either.

Micha pushed the three girls that were behind away and put on a cordial smile.

"I had heard we had a special guest on-board, but I never would have expected it would be the Princess. It is a pleasure to meet you," he said while doing a gentleman's bow.

All the others in line were looking at him enviously. What they wouldn't give for an opportunity like this...

But surprisingly the princess didn't even acknowledge his existence. Micha looked up to see Ceni staring towards Hao Xuan. She was talking to him through the spirit sense.

"Why didn't you say anything to them?"

She had heard most of the comments before even entering the area. Her only curiosity was at Hao Xuan's silence.

Hao Xuan opened his eyes halfway and met hers, replying through the spirit sense as well.

"Do you stop and respond every time a mutt barks at you?"

Ceni was surprised by his response. The prince of a grade 2 kingdom was a mutt? What about all the other's then?

But before she could ask, Micha stepped forward and pointed at Hao Xuan.

"How dare a filthy bumpkin stare at Royalty?! Guards, take his eyes out!"

Micha was trying to chat up Ceni while he had the chance but to his surprise and shame, she completely ignored him. Instead, she was staring at this nobody while he met her gaze without any reluctance, something even he wasn't able to. Of course the others saw what was happening as well and several of them held back their laughters, letting out a snicker or two here and there. So he did the only reasonable thing he could think off and blamed Hao Xuan.

Two of the guards jumped at the opportunity to impress them and pointed their swords at Hao Xuan.

"You b*stard! Do you have no shame?!"

Hao Xuan and Ceni both were taken aback by the sudden shouting. Ceni's expression turned ugly as she tried to stop them.

"Stop! What do you thin-"

But before she could finish that one sentence, Micha waved his hand and a longbow appeared in his grasp. He pulled back the string and an arrow made of pure Qi appeared in the arrow shelf. Without waiting for anything else he released the string and a white light shot straight towards Hao Xuan.

Jin Wang's left arm shook as he tried to grab the arrow but was stopped by Hao Xuan. Instead, with a half smile Hao Xuan looked at the incoming light and raised his right hand. When the arrow was a meter away from him, he mumbled something under his breath.

"Devour!"

And the next second the light vanished as if it was never there. Everyone stared at Hao Xuan with wide eyes, Micha being at the forefront.

Even though he didn't have time to fire a fully formed arrow, it still wasn't something that should have been taken care of that easily. He could feel the spectators stares boring holes in his face as he pulled back the string once more with gritted teeth.

"Ray of Light!"
