Chapter 1112 Ropes Of Flesh

Han Rong watched with bated breath as the symbols stopped and the magic circle's color changed to orange. And while he was thinking about how to interpret this strange happening they began moving for the 4th time.

This time it turned bright red indicating Hao Xuan's association with hell but the symbols didn't stay there for long.

The fifth color was bright golden which he had only heard about before and never actually seen in person.

'T-This could only happen if a person was touched by a True God belonging to one of the Ten High Heavens. How is that-'

And then finally it changed for the last time and stayed there. But the color this time was pitch black, the color of the darkest of voids.

Flabbergasted, Han Rong stared at the magic circle for what felt like an eternity trying to come up with a logical explanation nothing made sense.

'Chaos. He has been touched by Chaos.'

The darkness contained within the magic circle churned upon the mention of chaos and started attacking the magical symbols. Han Rong's eyes opened wide as he tried to stop it but it was already too late.

The magic circle destabilized instantly and the chaos contained within exploded right in his face.

*GASP*

He awoke back in his body gasping for breath. The pitter-patter of raindrops reached his ears just as everything returned to normal.

Han Rong let out a breath of relief upon not finding anything out of ordinary but when he craned his neck to peer into the pit, a dark spot revealed itself just below his neck. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to sense it and no one else witnessed it.

Zou Huan glanced in his direction with a questioning gaze upon seeing his flustered face, 'What?'

Han Rong sighed looking at Hao Xuan as he continued his fight with the synapse.

'We both know that young man. It's that boy Hao Xuan we met just a few days ago...'

He didn't know the significance of the changing colors on the magic circle and until he found out for certain Han Rong decided to keep it to himself, especially since as uncompromising as Zou Huan was, he would immediately start seeing him as a threat.

'HAO XUAN?!' Zou Huan repeated, more shocked than Han Rong himself.

He was the one that had gone out to find Hao Xuan and declared him dead. To see him again and here of all places. As soon as he thought about it his mind connected the dots.

He turned towards the youngin hanging on his back, "Is it him? That man? The one who can lead us to the city?"

Sokol looked over his shoulder at the empty spot before quickly nodding.

"Un. He is the one. She says he will take everyone to the city and when it's time he will take you to the ones you are looking for."

"The ones we are looking for?" Zou Huan frowned.

Zou Huan and Han Rong were the inner disciples of Mount Cae. Their one and only purpose was to seek out demon-kin wherever they were hiding and spoil their plans.

He obviously hadn't told Sokol anything about who they were or why they were here but this unknown and unseen figure seemed to be always aware.

Han Rong had already conducted several tests and deemed the presence "friendly" at least for now. It was attached to Sokol and answered only when they needed its help the most.

It was the one that had told them how to get down here and about the turning of Dai Zhi's forces. It mentioned a city, the last refuge for them where their powers would be needed more than ever, and where everything was going to end.

Zou Huan looked back at Hao Xuan with a sour expression, 'It's all coming true.'

Within the pit the battle between Hao Xuan and the synapse was at its peak.

Hao Xuan stood his ground right in front of the synapse as it unleashed a neverending flurry of attacks each of which sent shockwaves for miles in every direction.

But Hao Xuan was not pushed back even an inch. With just two hands he was able to not only redirect every single attack thrown his way but also launch his own that proved deadly to the creature's gigantic body.

Zou Huan could not help but admire his form which was without any flaws whatsoever. Every punch was calculated and thrown at the absolute perfect time where there would be no way to avoid or defend against it.

To have developed such a masterful sense of battle at such a young age, even he couldn't help but respect him.

Bit by bit pieces of white flesh were shaved off by Hao Xuan's attacks until the creature was not much more than a skeleton held together by a few ropes of flesh.
