Chapter 999 - Grovelling

Even Ma Jiang who wasn't the intended target of the killing intent felt like cold needles were piercing through her exposed skin. The temperature continued to drop until the cold became too much to bear and she had to use a small protection spell to keep herself from turning into an ice sculpture.

Jin Wang on the other was unfazed. He could only laugh inwardly at her childish attempts to scare him but he still allowed her to continue since he wanted to see how far she had progressed. Her Qi continued to increase in potency until she reached Spirit Realm pinnacle.

It would be a lie if Jin Wang didn't admit that her progress was indeed spectacular. He could already feel at least two laws within her, one of which was on the verge of breaking through to the Second Realm.

And obviously both her bloodlines were alive and well, functioning without any problems even now. The type of hypnosis she used on her six friends was thanks to her mother's Succubus bloodline as was her secondary law.

The center stage belonged to the vampire bloodline and whichever Blood-law she was cultivating with it. Now that she wasn't trying to hide her bloodline it was far too obvious.

'Although, it's a little surprising to see her make so much progress in so little time. It looks like she had some luck being able to activate the ancient Vampire Lord's bloodline.'

When her cultivation couldn't rise anymore Jin Wang clapped a handful of times which came out as a little sarcastic with his deadpan expression even though he meant it well.

"I'm impressed. Your foundation has been laid well and even though the vampiric bloodline is a little unstable it should grow stronger with time."

Seeing as her show of power had absolutely zero effect on him, Princess Ceni scoffed and recalled her killing intent and spiritual energy. Ma Jiang breathed a sigh of relief and stepped out of Jin Wang's shadow.

Princess Ceni turned around to leave, refusing to look at them for a second longer.

"What do you want? Go away if you're just here to waste my time."

She took two steps before Jin Wang's reluctant response came, effectively stopping her midstride.

"It's about...Hao Xuan, are you still hung up on him?"

She looked back at him with such a cold glare that Ma Jiang had to take refuge behind Jin Wang again.

"What the hell did you just say?! 'Hung up' on him? How DARE you question my sincerity towards him! What gives you the right?!"

If looks could kill Jin Wang would be mincemeat by now. Even if she couldn't do anything to him physically that one look was enough to still make him uncomfortable. It was teetering on the verge of fanaticism or perhaps even madness.

He couldn't help but think about the warning from the Grand Priestess.

'Is it because of the succubus bloodline? There is a reason they are classified as demons. Once attached to someone they cannot let go until one of them is dead, which is usually the other party. But they can also become great allies if used correctly, just like her mother.'

Jin Wang swiftly smiled, raising his hands in defeat.

"You're right, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to question your feelings for him. It's just that I need your help or...rather HE needs your help."

All her aggression evaporated in the wind the moment she heard Hao Xuan needed her help. Her expression fell as she ran up to Jin Wang worriedly.

"What's going on?! That old woman didn't tell me anything and every time I tried to find out where he was one of them would get in the way. I told them I would never ever hurt him but they just won't listen."

'Oh dear...she really has fallen a bit too deep.'

All her poise and charisma went out the window. She was ready to grovel if that would get her to Hao Xuan. Jin Wang felt more than a little bad lying to her like this but it was better not to tell her the truth at this moment.

"He is fine for the most part but needs your help getting back. You have mind-bending abilities right?"

Princess Ceni nodded vigorously.

"I do!"

"Alright good, come I will take you to him."

At the same time on the other side of the land, Dai Zhi was standing on top of a hill looking at the sea of white tents laid out below him. One of his hands was hovering over where his heart would be with a pained expression.

"That filthy whore! Trying to steal what's mine, do you really think I will sit around and watch as you take what rightfully belongs to me? I will burn down everything until there is nowhere left for you to hide. And then I will bleed you dry one drop at a time."

His eyes shone with the same red glow Princess Ceni's now held albeit his was much deeper.
