Chapter 57 Return To The Holy Maiden Sanctuary

In the inner courts of the Holy Maiden Sanctuary, Holy Saintess Qian Yufeng were already pacing up and down. "Why isn't he back yet?"

There were only two maidens in this grand hall and the other maiden was the Holy Saintess Sheng Feiyan.

Saintess Sheng Feiyan laughed weakly, "The experiential training is supposed to last for 7 days…"

"It has already been 13 days!" Saintess Qian Yufeng hummed unhappily.

"They still need to walk back, you know." Saintess Sheng Feiyan weakly said. Although she missed Shen Lie a lot but Saintess Qian Yufeng had waited for Shen Lie until she had almost exploded with infuriation.

Saintess Qian Yufeng ignored her and continued to pace up and down with great impatient.

Saintess Sheng Feiyan smiled, "Relax. Why don't we go and greet the numerous sect leaders from our two holy lands that are waiting to congrats us for merging our two holy lands?"

"You can go and say hello to them yourself." Saintess Qian Yufeng hummed coldly as she kicked a stone pillar unhappily.

"Come to think of this. Isn't this a little weird that we have not seen Fairy Xiang Yun lately? She seems to have disappeared." Saintess Sheng Feiyan pondered as she commented.

This time round, Saintess Qian Yufeng had stopped in her tracks. "As long as the bitches from the Saintess Palace aren't here, they will never know that we have Shen Lie with us."

At the outer court, Elder Li Hong had just led everyone in their return to the Holy Maiden Sanctuary.

Many of the trainee proteges were exhausted but they were also so glad to return 'home' once again.

On the way back, many of them were startled to find the sight of thousands of cultivators that were gathering at the the Holy Maiden Sanctuary; they were here to offer their congratulation messages to the two Holy Saintesses that had merged their holy land together.

However none of the other 5 holy saintesses had sent any representatives to the Holy Maiden Sanctuary or offer any form of congratulation messages.

From this day onward, the Holy Maiden Sanctuary would not be the smallest. Instead it would be the fifth largest powerhouse out of the six holy lands. Moreover they would have two saintesses in their holy place. This would make them even a match for the top 3 holy lands.

While many of the trainee protégés were celebrating their return and the failures were glooming unhappily that they would have to leave soon, Elder Hua Zixia had suddenly entered the courter court with a wry smile.

She was actually looking at Shen Lie among the trainee protégés that had returned while pretending to look at Elder Li Hong.

Elder Li Hong was looking nervous as she reported, "In this trip, we have 2 assistant elders that have perished…"

"It is alright. Welcome back." Elder Hua Zixia smiled to Elder Li Hong.

Elder Li Hong looked a little startled; there was no questioning?!

Elder Hua Zixia did not care for the experiential training. As long as Shen Lie was back alive, this was important enough. Elder Hua Zixia was quiet and was smiling bitterly; she knew why the Holy Saintess Qian Yufeng had come but she had not expected her to come so swiftly.

Elder Li Hong was startled and asked protectively, "Isn't the lashing punishment over already?"

Saintess Qian Yufeng hummed coldly, "Don't you know that it has been increased because he was caught for staring at the Holy Saintess Sheng Feiyan? And…"

She was pointing at Shen Lie now, "And now it has been increased again because he is staring at me."

Shen Lie nearly fainted when he had heard her: They are all looking at you but you have only punished me? Can't you think of a better excuse?
