Chapter 261 The Empress Arrives

Name:The Black Necromancer Author:Nilo_A
"My summons have been wiped out." Leon announced at the meeting he had called for after his summons were wiped out. It had only just been a few hours since the last meeting, so most people were surprised to have been called back to soon.

"So quickly?" Patrick expressed his surprise.

"My summons are only B rank, with the exception of a few. How can they possibly stand against an A rank?" Leon sighed as he had no eyeballs to roll at the moment. "That aside, they managed to collect a bit of information for me before being wiped out." He added.

Everyone turned to look at him as they paid more attention to his words.

"There are at least four A rank powerhouses guarding the fleet. All four that exposed themselves were around Mid A rank level from what my summons could sense, but I cannot be sure. As for their powers, I only saw very little." Leon went on to explain the powers that the four A rank powerhouses of the Demon fleet had showed off when they fought his summons.

"Four Mid A rank powerhouses. That is quite a powerful force that we cannot underestimate." Leonidas hummed and rubbed his chin.

Leon agreed with Leonidas wholeheartedly. He knew how strong a true Mid A rank could be after fighting with Londo. It was only after the battle had ended did he realize that Londo had been playing with him. He was lucky that Dion had arrived and taken the Demon by surprise, killing the Demon before he could form a proper game plan against the patriarch of the Armstrong family.

"It is not advantageous for us to keep showing up on the battlefield. I am sure they understand this same thing, so they will not show up easily either. The only chance that they will make a move personally is if they are unable to establish a beach head." Dion spoke up from the side.

Leon mostly just remained silent and listened to what the others were saying. He was not much of a critical thinker, and he could not predict the possible actions of the Demons all too well, so he did not mind leaving that task up to the others.

The talks continued for the next hour until there was nothing more to talk about. They had already exhausted all topics in the earlier meeting, so this one did not take as long. They only needed to finetune their strategy a bit more to adapt to the new intelligence that Leon's summons had gotten them.

Following the end of the meeting, the various campsites where the soldiers from different kingdoms had arrived from began to thrum with activity. Soldiers came and went as they were reassigned to various teams in order to properly adapt to certain situations.

A day passed, and in that time, the delegation from the underwater kingdom of Oceabal arrived on the shores of the Desolate Lands.

Leon stood at the top of the Wall with his fellow A rank leaders as they awaited the arrival of the delegation from Oceabal. The sea some distance away bubbled suspiciously, but Leonidas said not to worry, as that was a friendly sign.

After waiting for a while, the water suddenly burst upwards!

Splash!

A giant, reptilian head breached the surface of the water, causing a large wave to rush against the shore and foam against the Wall. The giant sea monster resembled the depictions of a strange sea monster that Leon had seen in his past life. He could not remember its name, but he could recall seeing blurry images of the mysterious sea monster multiple times in his past life.

The head of the sea creature resembled that of a snake, but its features were less sharp and more rounded. It possessed a long, thick neck, that was connected to an immensely large body.

Leon was unable to see what its limbs may have looked like, as they were still hidden underwater. He could only see a faint outline of its lower body.

'Magic of some type.' Leon deduced. With his sharp senses, there was no way that he could not see into water at such a shallow level. It had to be the work of a strange type of magic working its effects.

Leon moved his attention from the sea monster to the large thing that was on its back. The colossal size of the sea monster allowed it to fit an entire small town on its back! It was roughly similar to Daham, Damian's Castle Golem, in size.

A shielded castle rested on the back of the giant sea creature. A few moments after the sea creature had breached the surface of the water, and the water had run down on the face of the shield, the shield vanished, allowing Leon to see into it.

A number of light blue-skinned people came into view. The castle was full of thousands of people with light blue skin. Leon watched on with curiosity as a few more smaller sea creatures that looked like the first one emerged from the water.

Together, the host of sea creatures swam forward, before stopping just short of shore.

"Let us go down. It seems the Empress of Oceabal herself has graced us." Leonidas said as he stepped off the edge of the wall and glided down to the shore. The others followed behind him, letting him take the lead, as not only was he the strongest, but he was also familiar with the empress of Oceabal.

Leonidas, Leon, Richard, and Damian were the major leaders of the alliance, as they represented each major faction that was taking part in the defense. The four of them, along with Patrick who came along to act as Leonidas' second, stopped on the edge of the rocks where water surged.

As they waited, the people on the backs of the sea monsters were also disembarking. A group of people were particularly more eye catching than the rest.

Six guards in glimmering blue armor escorted a woman whose face was hidden by a veil as they alighted from the back of the largest sea monster. Leonidas stepped forward when he saw her, and his expression turned even more serious.

The Empress of Oceabal had arrived!
