Chapter 139 God Killer

Name:The Black Necromancer Author:Nilo_A
Leon and Jet continued into the floor carefully. Leon had already sent his summons forward, but they had yet to come across any other Skaras. Leon took this time to go through the status of his other summons. Most of them were quite decent, and he found out that the base health points of a B rank creature was around thirteen thousand, while the mana was around eight thousand. Most of his summons lingered around those numbers, while the elite summons had higher numbers.

Among all of them, the one with the highest numbers was the armored giant. Its Strength stat was absurdly high, almost reaching 300 points, the highest he had seen so far. Its Agility stat was close behind it at 290 points. So technically, Leon should have found it impossible to kill the giant as quickly as he did, but thanks to Jet and his summons, it had been possible.

Leon nodded, impressed at Grokus' status. His skills were all at the Intermediate stage, which was nothing less than what he had expected from Grokus. He had been so strong when they had fought, and Grokus was going to be the next chief of the Orc tribe that he had come from. There was no way that they Orcs would choose a weakling as their next leader, so it was not surprising that Grokus was that strong.

Next up on the list of things to do was naming his nameless elite summons. Namely, the armored giant, the dinosaur king and the spider queen. He had left the spider queen hanging for a long time after defeating her. Sometimes he did not even summon her to fight, which was quite a waste.

Within his Abyss of the Undead, the three summons were in the spotlight. The spider queen, Acromantula, had a solemn look on her face as she awaited her master's words. Beside her, the faceless armored giant that had gone by the name, Cowardly Knight King was also waiting. The hulking dinosaur king stood behind both of them.

Leon turned to the spider queen first. "From today, your name will be Dibella." He told her. Back on earth, he had come across a website with pet names. There, he had seen a suggestion, Dibella, for a spider. The name meant 'Beautiful'. He named her this because she indeed possessed a beautiful face.

After settling on a name for the spider queen, he turned to the armored giant. He had actually not decided on a good name for the giant. He briefly thought of an old name he had heard from his past life.

"Alright, you will go by the name of Aristodemus." Leon decided. It was a name that held weight in his mind.

"Last but not least, you will go by Tyrant." He pointed at the dinosaur king and declared.

"Thank you, master." The two summons expressed their gratitude with words while the dinosaur king let out a loud roar. As his loyal minions, even with the vast gulf of strength between them, they accepted his words without any resistance.

Now that he had the time, Leon decided to get down to something that had come up in his mind back when he had fought the spider queen. There were some words and things that she had said that made Leon curious. She sounded like she knew a lot about the outside world for a dungeon mob. Perhaps she had gotten that information from those that had fallen to her before. He had no idea.

When he brought forth the question to Dibella, she paused. He could feel the whirl of emotions swell from her, but he waited calmly for her to open up.

"I used to be a human..." The first words she said were so shocking that Leon had to pause in his step. Jet turned to look at him, but Leon just shook his head and continued walking.

"Go on." He urged, eager to know the story behind her.

"I am not sure how long ago it was, but I used to be human... I was a human who stood on the opposite side of the Gods. A God Killer."

"Father, who would you do that?!" Maria demanded, her voice tight and high pitched. Her face had gone red and her tail stood up on end.

"Do what?" Rodius asked in a casual manner. He was walking with his hands in the pockets of his trousers.

"Don't play dumb with me! Why would you go ahead to make an enemy out of someone so powerful?! You say his strength for yourself. He would be a powerful ally!" She complained. She had been complaining ever since they arrived on the fourth floor, and she did not stop even though Rodius did not give her an answer.

But now, it seemed she was about to get her answer. Rodius' face turned pensive as he stopped walking. He turned to Maria with a stern, dark look on his face.

"Have you forgotten what happened to your mother?! Your brothers?! Even Elena almost died! She only woke up a couple of years ago after that! And you expect me to sit around and act like a pal to one of them?! Are you INSANE?!" His voice boomed through the hall that they were walking through.

Maria took a step back but her eyes did not shift. She held her father's gaze with a steely determination. "I remember it very well, father. You are not the only one that lost a lot in that accident. But that does not mean that you have to take it out on someone who is innocent of the deeds committed back then. You need to learn to move on. You can't keep hanging back on the past!" She spoke each word slowly and loudly so that they hit home.

"This is not the right place to have this discussion." Rodius paused for some time before speaking. He turned forward just as a Skara scout appeared in the distance. His claws elongated and he transformed, leaping forward in one smooth motion to unleash his pent up rage onto the vile creature.
