Chapter 133 Two Armies

Name:The Black Necromancer Author:Nilo_A
An army of darkness that teemed with unholy energy stood an army of monsters that radiated power and might. The heat that they gave off contrasted sharply against the cold of the dark army.

At the back of this army was a lone skeleton whose armor glistened in the brightness that was radiated by this strange realm. A stone wall slowly rose behind him, sealing off the area that marked the boss room.

As the spectators of this sight watched from behind their protective stealth spell, they discussed amongst themselves.

"What the?! Is that a Necromancer?!" A young man that looked to be in his early twenties gasped.

"No, it's a flipping Holy Priestess. Of course, it's a Necromancer, you dimwit!" Another man responded harshly.

"Be quiet, you two!" A third man complained and shushed his two companions. He turned back to behold the spectacle that was on display. It was a bloody clash as two sides slammed into each other. At once, a disparity was noticed. The side that had the fire attuned reptiles immediately gained the upper hand thanks to their higher strength.

It was a known fact that fire was a weakness of the undead. This rule played well to the side of the reptiles this time as a curtain of flames was unleashed upon the army of undead. Even still, that did not mean that the battle immediately fell into the hands of the attackers. There were certain powerful beings within the ranks of the undead army that were able to go toe to toe with the reptile army, and they displayed dazzling power as they put up a fight against the reptiles.

Bam!

A massive fireball was conjured and dropped onto the heads of the reptiles. Even with their high resistance to fire based attacks, a horrible amount of damage was still dealt, with several monsters outright dying as they bore the brunt of the whole spell at the center of the explosion.

Bzzt!

A curtain of lightning fell onto the middle ranks of the monsters. Up above, an undead mage was suspended in the air. Lightning crackled around the robed figure as he cast down a flurry of shocking spells that decimated his foes.

On another side of the battlefield, a large, three meter Orc Shaman glowed brightly with power. The green tattoos all over his body glowed brightly as he exerted himself as much as he could. Not only were violent spells being thrown out by him, but he was also a melee powerhouse, tearing through foe after foe in his conquest.

Whoosh!

A bright flash of red light nearly blinded the three men. They turned to the part of the battlefield where a tall, domineering skeleton knight bashed his shield against a four meter large reptile, blocking its flame breath, before brandishing his greatsword to slice off its head in one smooth motion.

Boom!

At another corner of the battlefield, a massive, white millipede that was decorated with purple marks wreaked havoc on the battlefield. The amount of damage she dealt was massive. Thanks to her size, she was able to deal a large amount of damage at a time. There was even a point where she impaled a powerful reptile with just a single leg, with the leg running down from its head, to its bottom.

"What madness is this? When last did a Necromancer this strong appear? Do you guys think that he is affiliated with a kingdom or country?" The first man that spoke earlier asked his companions.

"Not that I know of. At least, I don't know of any undead Necromancers in the service of any major power." The second man spoke, but the third just remained quiet. He was monitoring every one of Leon's moves. The more information he could get now, the richer he would be when he turned it in to a major power. He did not care for anything else right now.

The value of the information he could sell depended on how much he could glean from this fight. The more he could note down the various abilities of this Necromancer, then the higher the pay. Many people would pay good money for this information.

"Is that a spear?" The words from his companions woke him up from his greedy thoughts. He focused his attention on the Necromancer once again to find it wielding a spear. The spear glowed with a bright blue corona of light, indicating the activation of a skill. Its tip was dyed a vibrant purple color, but the man was not able to understand what that meant.

Whoosh!

Like the wind, the skeleton Necromancer vanished. It was only by chance that the man managed to find his figure again. Like a dark streak, he dashed straight at one of the largest reptiles on the battlefield. His spear was brandished, and he waved it in an arc that sliced off the head of a monster in the way of his target. Blood sprayed through the air like a fountain spraying water, but the undead acted as if he did not notice it. As if the blood was merely some sort of breeze in an open grassland.

'Powerful!' Was the word that crossed the man's mind. He did not know how else to describe how domineering this undead was. Not only did he have a mighty army on his side, but he also possessed a potent strength within his own body. Not many people would be prepared to face such a foe. It was known that most Summoners and Necromancers were quite weak when it came to direct combat. This was usually because they would direct their efforts into enhancing their Intelligence and learning more spells that could benefit their main vocation. But physical combat that involved themselves was always on the poorer end.

With eyes wide and minds blown, the trio watched as the battle unfolded. It was not clear who would win as of this moment, as the monsters and Necromancer both had their solid points. The monsters were strong and had many stronger beings on their side while the Necromancer was more unpredictable. The elites within his summons packed a surprisingly mean punch.

"Which side will trump in this battle?" The men couldn't help but ask themselves.
