421 Hydra vs Chronos

Yi Zhen suddenly panicked when he saw him leaving. He honestly thought Zi Han might walk away despite seeing the hot tears streaming down from his scarlet eyes. He got up in a haste and blocked Zi Han’s path.

“You...,” he said his voice having lost all the arrogance from before.

“You have already threatened me so do I have a choice,” said Zi Han before walking past the former Marshal. The older man didn’t know what to say. He just stood there with a dumb look on his face while questioning himself. Had he gone too far? For his own selfish interests, he had come to find the one person he told to stay away from his son and even threatened him. Thinking about everything he had done to separate the two he suddenly felt like shit.

He knew how dangerous this was. The Republic wasn’t a good place, to begin with, secondly doing a space jump without any guidance from his seniors like the late prince could have unknown consequences.

Yi Zhen closed his eyes in frustration. Without warning, he suddenly punched the two way mirror with a loud bang almost terrifying the admirals in the next room. Cracks spread throughout the entire mirror like it would shatter completely if a pin dropped to the floor.

“Fuck, that almost sent my soul straight to nirvana,” said one of them patting his chest.

“Nirvana my ass, you would be burning in hell. You are a sinner brother,” replied the other admiral.

The man was about to retort when a female voice broke through the communication center of the entire base threatening armageddon on them.

Who else would have the balls to bluntly threaten the military? Zi Xingxi was dressed in full gear like she was ready for war while saying, “... former Marshal Yi you must be tired of living. In broad daylight, you stepped into my territory and kidnapped my son. If that’s not an act of provocation what else would be? My response thereof is justified... You have three min-,” before Zi Feiji cut her off.

.....

“Two minutes is enough,” he said and Zi Xingxi clenched her fists before continuing,

???????????????? ???????????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ???????????????????? ???????? ????????????????????-????????????.????????????

“You heard him. Two minutes starting now. Give my son back or....”

Guns were drawn in space aimed at the floating heavily guarded Military headquarters. The admiral in charge turned on the communication channel and said, “Zi Xingxi, are you nuts? He is a wanted fugitive and is now in our custody. If you persist we will have to put you under arrest for interfering with military affairs. This has nothing to do with you so stand down,” his tone stern but in truth, he was sweating bullets.

Zi Xingxi smiled slyly while cracking her neck like a fiend hanging upside down on a ceiling in a horror movie. “Tick.... tock,” she said while engaging her laser cannon. She was really serious. Her son was her entire universe. If she were to lose him then she wouldn’t mind bringing the entire federation down for him. She would gladly go to war.

The admiral knew she was serious but they couldn’t just let Zi Han walk. A conflict was inevitable thus he prepared for battle. It was when the alarm sounded that Yi Zhen finally woke up. In less than two minutes Zi Xingxi would be going to war with Onyx Federation Interplanetary army.

“Fuck,” he swore while turning on his light brain to call Zi Feiji but Zi Feiji just stared down at his light brain and ignored it.

“Payback is a bitch,” he whispered as he sat in the captain’s chair with his ankle resting on the thigh of his other leg.

Left with no choice the former Marshal intercepted communication with the Han warship. “He is not here,” he said only for the admiral in charge to yell, “Sir!”

“Stand down admiral, I got this,” he yelled before turning back to Zi Xingxi, “He left. I need his help that’s all. Can we discuss this privately?”

Zi Xingxi stared at him with a condescending gaze her chest rising and falling rapidly. For a second Yi Zhen thought she wouldn’t agree but after a long silence, her lips rose into a sinister arch as she rolled back her shoulders.

“Sure... but we talk in person. Oh and former Marshal,... please come alone. It’s a very sensitive matter,” she said before cutting the communication.

Lynn Feng could clearly see the word murder written on Zi Xingxi’s face thus she panickingly asked, “Ma’am you.”

“Don’t worry about it. I am just going to welcome our guest,” said Zi Xingxi before leaving the bridge.

When Zi Xingxi said the words sensitive matter, Yi Zhen suddenly felt shivers run down his spine. He turned to the vexed admiral and said, “If I am not back in an hour contact my wife.”

Admiral, “...”

What happened to asking for backup or conducting a rescue mission? Why call his wife? Well, that’s because his wife had a close relationship with Zi Xingxi and if anyone could negotiate on his behalf it would be Lin Ruoxi though he wasn’t sure if she would come immediately when she finds out what he did.

Five minutes later the hangar of the warship opened and Hydra landed with rigor. Zi Xingxi who was standing in the hangar tilted her head slightly while saying, “Good, I was afraid you wouldn’t be prepared for this.” She summoned Chronos as she walked over to the former Marshal.

“Oh, I have been waiting for this moment. You are going down Hydra,” said Chronos excitedly.

“In your dream coward,” replied Hydra, and Lynn Feng who had followed behind seemed bewildered as she glanced down at the mechs trash-talking at each other

Old Lu pursed his lips and said, “You have no idea how deep their beef is.”

“Didn’t Yi Chen have Hydra?” asked Lynn Feng. What she didn’t know was that Yi Chen had disappeared and didn’t have his mech with him because he had taken it off.

“Coward?... I will show you, coward,” said Chronos as a sword materialized in its hands. Hydra drew its shield and the two clashed with a loud bang.

“Sir, aren’t you going to stop them?” asked Lynn Feng but Zi Feiji who hadn’t touched a cigarette in years tilted his head slightly while lighting a cigar.

After it lit up he pinched it in between his finger and responded, “They know the rule.”

What was the rule? The rule was, ‘Don’t fuckin damage his warship.’
