286 Arguing with the future father in law

“Chen..., Chen Chen,” he called out sluggishly while taking a casual glance at the monster still burning everything around to the ground.

“Baby... baby wake up,” said Zi Han as he crawled over shaking Yi Chen who had passed out.

That’s when Zi Han realized something was wrong. He hastily deactivated Yi Chen’s mech and placed his hand on the man’s forehead.

Yi Chen’s forehead was covered in sweat and he was burning up. Raylan had already administered medication to make the situation better but when Yi Chen regained consciousness, he asked for a shot of adrenaline when he saw Zi Han almost getting sucked into that portal. This meant his condition which had shown some signs of improvement had only gotten worse.

Zi Han noticed the cut on Yi Chen’s arm when he peeled back the fabric. There was a long narrow gash colored purple from the poison.

His chest clenched tightly as he hurriedly activated his mental power. Ever since his father removed what was blocking his mental power they had discovered his healing abilities.

He could not only heal himself but also others. The only problem was that when he did it for others it would take a toll on him.

Despite knowing the consequences, Zi Han let his mental power leave his body and seep into Yi Chen’s through the wound. Because he was in a state of panic Zi Han wasn’t careful enough to check his surroundings.

It was Zi Xingxi who came over and created a shielding barrier around him so no one would see.

.....

“You don’t even listen to me anymore. What did I say?” she reprimanded him while standing outside the barrier she created.

Zi Han felt bad. She had indeed told him to be careful but when he saw Yi Chen’s situation he unintentionally disregarded everything focusing on Yi Chen.

“I panicked,” he whispered back as he observed Yi Chen’s face whose complexion was getting better.

“Rule number four...,” she said and Zi Han quickly responded,

“Never let your emotions overwhelm you. Such a mistake can lead to death.”

Zi Xingxi wore a satisfied expression and said, “Always remember that.”

Yi Chen was getting better at a rate visible to the naked eye. Zi Han felt slight exhaustion in the end but he regretted nothing. Whatever poison that vile man had injected into Yi Chen was something not of the Federation thus they might not have had a cure. This was the most effective method.

“The countdown for the nitrogen bomb has begun. We have to go,” said Zi Xingxi trying not to think about that person who had her husband’s first mech. She had a lot of questions but this wasn’t the time to talk about them.

Zi Han took Yi Chen into the cockpit of his mech and followed his mother out of the barrier. Twenty seconds later the monster pursued the people rushing towards the barrier and when it reached the boundary it tried to exit as well but it was bounced back causing it to stagger a few steps.

Soon the residents of Capital Star and the military personnel watched as the creature fell to its knees gasping for air while breathing out dying flames.

Others stayed on to watch but the Zi mother and pair son didn’t. Each had their own thing to worry about and there was nothing much left to do here. Zi Xingxi was so preoccupied that she didn’t even oppose it when he said he wanted to take Yi Chen somewhere.

She knew about their love nest thus she wasn’t worried about where he was going. In contrast, it was actually Marshal Yi who wasn’t happy about it.

???????????????? ???????????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ???????????????????? ???????? ????????????????????-????????????.????????????

When he video called his son it was Zi Xingxi who answered it. What made matters worse was the fact that Zi Han had full access to Yi Chen’s light brain. This was wrong on so many levels, especially when considering the fact that Zi Han was related to the Bloodgarde.

Zi Han didn’t know what to say. He knew that the Marshal didn’t like him. He could see it in the man’s eyes each time they met. He knew it was because the Marshal was afraid that his relationship with the Bloodgarde would negatively impact Yi Chen.

Since he couldn’t convince Yi Chen to distance himself from this person he could only grit his teeth but he would never give Zi Han any face the same way Zi Xingxi never showed his son face.

Zi Han stared at this man who still had no idea what sort of relationship he had with Yi Chen and suddenly felt a little guilty. Everyone including Ming Ming knew that they were in a relationship but the Marshal who manages the entire federation had absolutely no idea what sort of relationship they had. He just assumed they were at least close friends or sworn brothers.

“He is a little injured so I am taking care of him. I will send him home as soon as he wakes up,” said Zi Han but the Marshal’s frown deepened.

“You!... We have state-of-the-art equipment and the best doctors at our disposal so what do you mean by this? I am his father, it’s not your place to make decisions on his behalf,” said the Marshal his face turning red with rage.

Zi Han rubbed his forehead and explained his entire body tense. “He was poisoned by a substance from the Republic. By the time the doctors would figure out what it is and create an antidote it would be too late so I used my mental-,” he explained only for the Marshal to interrupt him.

“That special trait is unique to a particular family. Didn’t your mother tell you not to speak of it?” said the Marshal reprimanding him like a caring elder.

Zi Han wanted to say something when he heard pained gasps coming from the bed. Ridden with worry Zi Han walked over while cutting the Marshal’s call.

Marshal Yi, “...”

Zi Han walked over to his lover lying on the bed and saw that his eyelashes were quavering as he murmured under his breath. He must have been having a nightmare again.

Zi Han stroked Yi Chen’s hair soothingly while calling out, “Husband,” softly.
