70 Unlucky charm

Zi Han unfolded his arms and placed his hand on the table. With the slight tilt of his head, he said, “What else could it be about? You know class president,.... each time I associate with you in any way, I always seem to land myself in trouble. It almost seems as if you are an unlucky charm that whenever I am around you something terrible happens.”

Zi Han leaned closer with his elbows on his desk and his clasped hands propped up his chin as he continued, “I failed to copy that Confucianism script and my grandpa lost his beloved map thus as punishment I am now wearing a skirt and the main cause of all of this is because I accidentally hit you so..... yep. I would much appreciate it if we keep some distance between us, okay?”

Such strong words should have made Yi Chen feel distraught and maybe sad but he wasn’t as sullen as expected. That’s because anything after script and map he heard none of it. He was enchanted by Zi Han wearing a skirt so much that it was very difficult for him to look away.

If it were up to him he wouldn’t mind him walking around like this all year round but he also knew that he wasn’t the only one tempted by such spellbinding legs. Others were eyeing Zi Han like hungry wolves hence he was desperate to make Zi Han cover up.

Thus he impulsively stood up and walked over to talk about it. Since Zi Han was being punished because of the map and the Analects script then what if he gave him both. Wouldn’t that stop him from showing off the goods to these hot-blooded teens?

Just as he reached this conclusion, the professor walked in disrupting his thought process. Yi Chen wordlessly walked back to his seat leaving behind a vexed Zi Han.

For a moment he thought Yi Chen had lost his marbles. The guy wordlessly stood there for ten seconds looking like he had spaced out. Thank goodness the professor came in otherwise he might have gotten himself into even more trouble for hitting Yi Chen on purpose this time.

“Okay..... since this class is considered the cream of the crop I don’t expect you to give me trouble-..... uh... class president Chen. Why is that boy wearing a skirt?” asked Professor Roseline when he saw those masculine thighs that made it difficult for one to look away.

The class chuckled while Zi Han scratched his head wondering if he would have to answer this question every single time he meets a teacher.

.....

There are plenty of beautiful non-binary and transgender citizens in the federation that were widely accepted yet he wears a skirt one time and everyone suddenly turns into Curious George.

“I-,” said Zi Han but before he could continue Yi Chen interjected,

“It is my fault he is being punished. I am willing to accept any consequences thereof on his behalf if there is a problem.”

Zi Han, “WTF”

“Wow... I didn’t think the class president would take responsibility for you. Then that means I am off the hook,” whispered Shorty but of course, Zi Han didn’t buy it.

“Not a fucking chance Shorty,” whispered Zi Han with a stiff smile on his face directed at Prof Roseline standing at the podium watching him. Shorty’s face sank but this was neither the time nor place to talk about it.

“Nope.... it’s not a problem. I was just a little curious. Nice legs by the way,” said the professor as she lowered her head tapping on the screen attached to the podium to open up her propaganda-like history lecture presentation.

Zi Han, “....”

He suddenly felt a couple of curious gazes staring in his direction. Some were even craning their necks to see including Hela. His legs were indeed long and quite impressive. She wasn’t lying about that.

Pressing his cheeks with the tip of his tongue in annoyance, Yi Chen cleared his throat as a warning and the curious gazes gawking at Zi Han’s legs lessened.

“If Cadet..... sorry what’s your name?” asked Prof Roseline as she looked in his direction while flipping the digital pen in her hand.

Zi Han subconsciously stood up like a good student and replied, “Cadet Han.”

“You can sit.... If Cadet Han’s long legs were a subject of the academy I am sure most of you will pass with the highest grade,” she said with a light chuckle.

Low laughs spun across the class but Yi Chen exhaled deeply trying his best not to look behind him. The two hour class progressed smoothly and because everyone was in a good mood it was much less painful than it should have been. In fact, this class was much more bearable than what came next.

What came next was Zi Han’s mortal weakness. Yes, he was fed and smiling but that didn’t help much. It seemed even Prof Quinn was also dragging his feet the moment he saw him. It seemed unless he improves his grades they were destined to be mortal enemies.

It was because of this that Prof Quinn’s sharp vision kept glancing over in Zi Han’s direction. Zi Han was extremely vigilant thus he forced himself to look serious. It was Shorty sitting next to him that didn’t realise that his good brother had a hawk watching him that he kept chattering incessantly.

“Brother Han,” called out Shorty while aligning the parts with his mental power, “can I ask you something.”

Zi Han who was trying not to get into even bigger trouble with Prof Quinn glanced at the professor on the podium before answering Shorty in a whisper. “What?”

“Are you.... you know,” said Shorty trying to speak in riddles but Zi Han wasn’t in the mood to play twenty questions with him.

He answered him while checking if the law was watching him. The professor a.k.a the law was instructing another student so Zi Han replied, “Are what?”

Shorty felt a little embarrassed asking this but after Zi Han held his hand he just had to know. So he borrowed courage from the three hundred Spartans and asked, “Are you maybe..... into guys.”

Like an owl, Zi Han turned his head sharply with his eyes as wide as a light bulb. On reflex, he smacked Shorty upside his head with a loud PA!

“CADET HAN!!” roared prof Quinn startling the two and the people around them.

“Fuck,” mumbled Zi Han while Shorty suppressed his smile by pressing his lips together. Yi Chen is truly his unlucky charm.
