Chapter 126 I am a Dwarf, not a Monster

Most of the monsters were humanoids; however, there was not a single monster that looked like a perfect human. At least they didn’t meet any monsters that looked completely similar to a human.

Therefore, when they saw a small human hand, Leo and the twins could not help but be shocked.

‘Kacha’

Amidst their shocked gazes, the monster eggs were completely shattered by the cub inside the egg.

What came out of the monster egg was a one-meter dwarf fully equipped with grey armour.

‘Huh? A dwarf?’

Even though it was Leo’s first time seeing the dwarves, he had heard about them because of their excellent weapon refining skills.

The one-meter dwarf checked his surroundings, and when he saw Evan, he walked toward him and stood by his side with his eyes closed, without saying anything.

‘…’

Evan and Emily didn’t know what to say as they looked at the young dwarf and tried communicating with him.

However, the young dwarf ignored them and didn’t open his eyes.

‘Ding,

Monster Name: None.

Monster race: Grey Dwarf.

Strength: None (Newborn).

Skill: None.

Potential: Master Weaponsmith.

Information: The grey dwarves will retain ancestral memories regarding the weapon refining skills every now and then. So, give some time for the grey dwarf.

On the other hand, Leo was checking the information on the young dwarf and nodded with a satisfied smile.

Even though the young dwarf seemed useless without any strength or skills, once he becomes a Master Weaponsmith, all the supreme heroes would be queuing in front of the young dwarf for weapons.

‘Evan, don’t be sad. In the future, the young dwarf….’

Seeing that Evan was sad, Leo informed him about the young dwarf’s future, making Evan reveal a slight smile.

“Master”

Suddenly, the grey dwarf said a word out loud, and in the next second, a thin golden light came out of the young dwarf’s body and entered Evan’s body.

Even Leo was not expecting the young dwarf’s following action, not to mention Evan, who was only a rank 2 hero.

‘Aargh’

He didn’t have any time to dodge the golden light as he fell to the ground and started groaning in pain.

‘Evan’

Emily and Leo were worried; however, they could not stop the golden light from entering Evan’s body.

‘System, what the hell is happening?’

Leo asked the system in an anxious tone.

‘Ding,

There is no need for the host to worry about the golden light.

‘Ding,

The young dwarf is sharing his first skill that was retained from his ancestral memories with his master.

‘Oh. So that’s what it is.’

Even though Leo learned that it was good for Evan to receive a skill from the young dwarf, his heart ached to see his little brother groan in pain.

‘Emily, don’t worry. The young dwarf is helping Evan in awakening a skill.’

Nevertheless, he informed Emily about what was happening to Evan, making her nod; however, she was still a little worried.

“Evan, Emily.”

As Evan groaned in pain, a worried voice came from outside as Ryan opened the door to check on the twins.

“Brother Ryan.”

Emily was shocked and remembered that Leo didn’t want Ryan to know about his arrival. So, she blocked Ryan’s view and stopped him from entering her room.

“What happened to Evan?”

Ryan frowned and asked Emily, trying to see the insides of the room.

“I-its…”

Emily didn’t know what to say and struggled to find an excuse.

“Brother Ryan, nothing happened to me.”

However, the next second, Evan walked to Ryan and shook his head.

“O-okay.”

Ryan felt something was not right; however when he saw Emily and Evan were alright, he didn’t think much and left.

‘Phew…that was close.’

They heaved a sigh of relief after Ryan left.

‘Evan, are you alright?’

Soon, Emily checked on her brother and was relieved that nothing had happened to Evan.

‘I am alright, my dear little sister.’

‘Who are you calling little sister? Call me big sister.’

‘In your dreams.’

Soon, they went back to their little fighting session.

‘These little brats.’

Seeing them fight over who was older between them, Leo could not help but shake his head with a slight smile.

‘Let’s give a big surprise to your Brother Ryan after you become powerful. What do you say?’

Even if they didn’t stop Ryan, Leo was not worried as he could always hide in the secret dimensional space.

‘Yes. We are waiting for that day.’

Until now, the twins had done nothing for their Brother Ryan, who had looked after them independently for the last 10 years. So, they wanted to protect him.

However, for that, they need strength which they got after receiving the supreme-grade eggs from Leo.

‘By the way, what skill did you receive from the young dwarf?’

Emily suddenly remembered Leo’s words and asked Evan.

‘I didn’t receive a skill; instead, I received a weapon refining technique.’

Evan was excited and proudly answered Emily while patting the young dwarf.

“Master, I don’t like being patted by anyone.”

The young dwarf replied to Evan in a cold tone, making Evan bitterly smile as he stopped patting it.

‘Speak in a low tone. Do you want Brother Ryan to know about you?’

Evan asked the young dwarf to speak in a low voice; however, he suddenly realized something.

‘Wait a second. How can you speak already?’

Not only Evan but even Leo was also curious about the young dwarf that could already walk and speak only after a few minutes of coming out of the egg.

‘Why not? The grey dwarf can retain the ancestral memories as soon as they come out of the egg. The more information a young dwarf can retain, the more things it can do. Just like how I shared the weapon refining technique with you.’

The young dwarf explained in a low voice, clearing the doubts of Leo and the twins.

‘Oh. Cool.’

Everyone nodded their head and finally understood that dwarves were the cool monsters.

‘What weapon refining technique did you receive from your monster?’

Emily asked Evan with a curious look.

‘Who are you calling a monster? I am a Dwarf, not a monster.’
