Chapter 102 Ch 102: Rayan Rathore

_Middle Land, Red Star City, Rathore Family_

Young men between the ages of 15 to 25 showed up early in the morning at the martial arts square to practice their Martial Skills. When they arrived, they saw twenty years old young men practicing. It was already a common sight for them to see this young man with a somewhat pleasant appearance doing various movements in the middle of the field.

"As expected, Rayan came earlier than usual. He's always been the first one among us to be here for three consecutive years."

"Yeah, it's a real pity. He clearly has a Spirit Grade Cultivation Talent which is superior to ours. Unfortunately, after so many years of hard work, he has no such luck in cultivating because of his body's illness. I learned that the Family Head and others are extremely disappointed in him."

Several teens could be heard whispering to each other, but the one who spoke aloud clearly felt sorry for Rayan Rathore's situation.

However, someone also commented with an edge of sarcasm in his voice. "Rayan's father is a piece of trash. He did shameful things that made our Rathore Family suffer a great loss. I suspect this is the punishment for the wrongdoings committed by his father. And Rayan suffered all the bad karma."

The young man who spoke was Rayan's cousin, Souvik Rathore. He was a little over twenty-two years old and had already cultivated to the Spirit Origin Stage Level 3. Among those aged under 25 in the Rathore Family, he was often identified as the leader. While he was stronger than Rayan in all aspects, he was inferior to him in terms of Talent.

Rayan's Talent was already at the Spirit Grade, and Souvik was one level below him. After Rayan's Talent was put to the test, the outcome frustrated Souvik. However, for some strange reason, Rayan's body couldn't absorb spirit energy, thus his Spirit Grade Cultivation Talent was totally worthless. This thrilled Souvik, and he always ridiculed Rayan for it whenever he got the chance.

In reality, he was jealous of Rayan. If Souvik also had Spirit Grade Talent, he might have already broken through Spirit Origin Stage Level 9.

Despite the young men's highly audible exchange, Rayan didn't seem to hear them. He stayed focused on his training and familiarized himself with the Basic Long Fists and Basic Leg Techniques taught by his family.

Soon after the arrival of the other teenagers, they all started their own cultivation techniques.

Basic Long Fists and Basic Leg Techniques that Rayan was practicing were divided into nine styles. Rayan practiced them alternately several times before stopping for a break. He drew a deep breath and said, "I'm very proficient now with these two techniques. If it doesn't require the use of spirit energy, then nobody here deserves to be my opponent, but..."

Rayan only shook his head as his voice drifted off, but there wasn't a single hint of bitterness on his face. It was as if he wasn't disappointed by his failure to produce Internal Strength after three years of cultivation.

His firm mouth twisted as if he were about to laugh. But he only smiled mysteriously after hearing the other boys talk and feel sorry for him.

He unwittingly touched his chest to placate himself, and soon, his eyes lit up. "Three years have passed since I started cultivating. I have an inkling that I can finally solve this mystery in a few days, or maybe even today. And when that happens..."

Afterward, Rayan resumed his training and worked tirelessly to improve his dexterity in both techniques.

Not long after, a middle-aged man entered the martial arts field. When everyone saw him coming, they straightened up their backs and grew silent to avoid being scolded.

Although he had a surname different from the Rathore Family, he was their teacher. Everyone referred to him as Instructor Fedrick. His cultivation base already reached the Origin Sea Stage, even in the entire Rathore Family, his strength was powerful and could be considered to be on par with the lowest levels of elders of the family.

He was quite strict in teaching young people. Everyone here showed a lot of reverence for Instructor Fedrick.

Instructor Fedrick announced that one month later, someone important was about to visit the family. At that time, if the younger generation of the Rathore Family managed to display a satisfactory strength to the guest, their fate may change and they might be accepted as a disciple by that guest.

He also said that that guest is very powerful and the Rathore couldn't afford to offend him.

After saying this, he left, leaving behind an uproar in the younger generation of the Rathore Family.

.....

Souvik looked at Rayan resentfully and spat, "Trash will always be trash. Let's see how you'll do when that guest will come to our family!"

Time went on and one by one, everyone started leaving.

Meantime, Rayan maintained a relaxed expression. He also slowly left the training field and walked toward his father's room.

When he opened the door, a handsome man got up at once and greeted him. "Son, you're here. Come over quickly. The food is getting cold."

"Father, I already told you not to wait for me. Now the food is already cold," Rayan said helplessly as he strolled in.

Rameshver Rathore, Rayan's good-looking father, was the fourth son of Haneshver, the Rathore Family Head. His talent wasn't quite exemplary, however, he held the same strength as Instructor Fedrick and he wasn't necessarily the weakest in the family. Moreover, being a direct descendant of the Rathore Family had its advantage since his cultivation resources were much more top-notch than that of Instructor Fedrick. Not to mention his status as the Family Head's son.

Although Rameshver's Talent wasn't well-equipped, he had easy access to a wide range of cultivation resources.

In the past, Rameshver did something bold that resulted in a tremendous loss to the Rathore family. Things got even worse when his action caused Rayan to be ridiculed by the entire Rathore Family.

Rayan felt powerless each time this matter was raised.

Rameshver lost his confidence because of his Talent. He became introverted and even a little wimpy. On one training trip, he met a lovely young woman from a large family and fell in love with her at first glance.

Rameshver knew that he wasn't worthy of such a woman, so he followed her secretly as she went hiking up the mountain. He was extremely fortunate. She got poisoned by a powerful Demonic Beast after she managed to kill it. This woman was determined to cultivate martial arts and wasn't interested in love. Virginity was nothing important to her. So, when she realized the presence of Rameshver, she had sex with him straight off in order to save her life. When they were done, she just left him there alone.

But what happened afterward was beyond belief. Startlingly, the woman got pregnant in one fell swoop.

Although this woman was hell-bent on martial cultivation, she was also all agog to the life inside her womb, so she decided to keep the child. Her family soon found out about the incident. Luckily, they weren't bothered about her lost innocence, or the Rathore Family would have been wiped out. However, the Rathore Family still paid a substantial sum of money to fend off the issue.

For everything that had happened, everyone neglected to consider that Rameshver was the one who was coerced to do so.

This woman was Rayan's birth mother, who chose to protect him in her womb. When Rayan was born, his Talent was only at the Spirit Grade.

In the Rathore Family, Spirit Grade Cultivation Talent could be considered an excellent talent, however, in the household of Rayan's mother, even people with this talent are treated like trash. Only those above the Spirit Grade Talent are given importance.

Aside from Rayan's Talent, his mother also thought about his delicate position in her family, so she sent him to live with his father. Sure enough, Rayan's Spirit Grade Talent, which wasn't appreciated by his mother's family, caught the attention of the Rathore Family.

At present, the strongest cultivator in the Rathore Family was only Heaven Completion Stage Level 2, who is also Rameshver's father and Rayan's grandfather.

Unfortunately, the Rathore Family's top elders found out that there was an issue with Rayan's body. He couldn't absorb even a strand of spirit energy.

Consequently, they didn't consider Rayan to be exceedingly special.

Despite the discontent that the elders of the family felt toward Rayan, they never dared to neglect him since his mother was born into a large family. Only those of Rayan's age secretly despise him.

As for Souvik, he not only secretly despises Rayan but also scolds Rayan whenever he sees him. Rayan never talked back which resulted in Souvik's guts becoming bigger and bigger. And today, he even dared to point his fingers at Rayan's father, his blood uncle.
