My repetitive usage of the skills should have dealt a lot of damage, but the troll had yet to die.

“It’s still not dead even after all this…… Isn’t it too tenacious?”

Despite the fact that I kept firing [Explosion], the troll was still moving.

As I was aiming at the center of its upper torso, even its face was wounded and messed up. Even so, as one would expect from a monster, it was still coming to attack me with astonishing vitality.

Although I may be overwhelming the monster now, I thoroughly kept my distance since just a single hit from that giant is enough to turn the situation upside down.

“How about this one? [Wind Cutter]”

I activated the newly usable skill I’d imitated from Aoi by aiming at the troll’s leg.

The troll’s leg was cut by the invisible wind blade.

By concentrating [Wind Cutter] at the troll’s leg, I succeeded in snatching away the enemy’s mobility. The troll collapsed on the spot with an especially loud voice.

“I defeated it somehow, but as expected of an E-rank monster, its vitality is really superb.”

“Rin-kun, it is really splendid. It is usually unthinkable to defeat the E-rank monster at level 7 on your first try. Furthermore, it looked like Rin-kun had some leeway, so isn’t this a complete victory?”

“That’s not true. Aoi thinks too highly of me. I was so nervous about getting hit by the troll so much that I was fully occupied concentrating on it. I didn’t have any leeway at all.”

“The fact that you have carefully considered such matters means you did have that much leeway. Also, it seems we can take on two E-rank monsters from now on.”

Since this was my first time fighting a troll, I had suppressed the monster by randomly firing a series of skills.

However, the next time I deal with a troll, unless there is anything irregular, I think I can fare better based on this time’s experience.

I picked up the fallen magic stone; it had a deeper color than that of F-rank; moreover, it was bigger.

“Aoi, how much money can we get with this E-rank magic stone?”

“Let’s see. Generally, it is about 100,000 yen for one magic stone.”

“100,000 yen… As expected, it is expensive.”

“The difficulty of subjugation is high after all. However, if it is only about earning money, it might be more efficient to defeat multiple F-rank monsters.”

100,000 yen for a single magic stone is an outrageous amount of money. However, considering the risks and efforts needed to defeat monsters of this level, it feels like it isn’t efficient at all.

Since there was only a troll this time, we got about 50,000 yen for each person after dividing.

In my opinion, earning 50,000 yen in just one subjugation is already pretty good. But, it appears that my income might increase further since we’ll take the requests for two E-rank monsters from now on.

Although having too much money isn’t a problem, honestly, I can’t decide where to spend my money since I’ve never earned this much money before.
