Chapter 752 - 752 The dark and bloody blade saw

752 The dark and bloody blade saw

A tall wide greatsword materialized on top of their hands. The blade made of condensed shadow was gently fuming, and even though the greatsword looked big, Awa and Night lifted it as if it was weightless.

Awa and Night rotated their hand and let the blade shove a couple of inches into the ground. The audience could see that the mysterious-looking blade was indeed as sharp as an ordinary blade would be.

Amie looked at her husband. Lamin had a smile on his face. The greatsword he practiced with and could not use anymore after losing one arm was being held by the next generation of his family.

“My sweet daughter is the best Dullahan in the world.” He proudly said with a tear trickling from his eye.

Amie held her husband’s hand. “She is our and our people’s pride.”

Awa’s parents were proud of her for using her father’s favorite weapon. However, they didn’t know Awa could only materialize equipment she knew of. The more understanding she had about the weapons, the more refined the condensed shadow would become.

Thus, Awa could only create a rope, a makeshift shield, a makeshift bow, a makeshift spear, and a highly detailed wide greatsword.

The ground rumbled. The bear used the earth underneath it to break and raise its body. While this happened, multiple earth spikes extended from the ground, but like birds noticing a nearby hunter, Awa and Night soared to the sky.

Awa and Night saw dozens upon dozens of earth spikes poke from the bear’s body. Addipoialty, to make matters worse, all of the earth spikes created throughout the fight started vibrating and breaking.

.....

The two in the sky could perceive their situation was going to turn bad in a matter of seconds. They had two options. Both were risky.

One option was to run for a while. However, as they evade the attacks, Vincent, Ester, Lupa, Mimi, and Zero have a chance to have a stray projectile shot toward them. This option was risky.

The other option was to block everything thing shot at them. The risk was less because they only felt pain in their current condensed shadow body. This option was risky, but only one person had the possibility of getting injured instead of many.

After their brief dual thinking was done and the best option they believed in was chosen, Awa and Night slashed vertically. Their bodies spun as a blade saw in the blink of an eye.

Hundreds upon hundreds of fist-sized earth shards with both ends sharpened shot to the sky. They shot from the bear’s body and from the broken earth spikes. The bear astonished the audience with the level of control it had.

Momentarily, the view similar to watching hundreds of beginner earth mages were using earth spikes at the same time.

One after the other, the dark blade saws remaining in the sky as if their bodies were weightless started cutting each and every projectile shot at them.

In the sky gradually formed a cloud of dust from the fine degree, taking some time to disperse. The more projectiles were severed, the larger the cloud of dust became, and the more intense the rainfall of sliced earth rained to the ground.

The projectiles kept going at full strength for a few seconds before all of the earth spikes on the ground were used up. The bear did not stay still while shooting projectiles from its body.

The large mouth opened, and the throat started to inflate. *Rip* The bottom jaw lowered to the point of dislocating and tearing the side of the lips.

A large earth spike, about half a van’s size, poked from its wide mouth. A moment later, the bear shot a large boulder with both spiked ends and, as large as a van, headed towards Awa and Night.

The audience held their breaths while the commentator licked his lips to comment on the outcome.

Amie and Lamin held each other’s hands firmly. They gulped while praying for their daughter’s safety.

The huge spiked boulder was not stopped. It passed into the cloud of dust and kept flying as if it met no resistance. The boulder, with one long cut, crashed against the barrier and fell to the ground with a loud thud.

The cloud of dust quickly dispersed because of the large fast projectile. The audience squinted their eyes, but they could not see a fighter in the sky. Awa and Night had disappeared.

“Ladies and gentlemen! Awa Lionheart and her horse have disappeared! Did they survive, or have their bodies been completely crushed under the large boulder?”

The commentator looked at the representative and questioned, “What do you think?”

“Hah! Dead, obviously. She was weak...” The representative was mocking before he saw a dark figure appear.

A dark line attached to the barrier, and in the blink of an eye, a dark figure landed on the barrier wall. The dark figure wore dark armor instead of having the form of a woman. It was Night, not Awa.

Amie and Lamin would be about to faint if not for what Lilith and Iris said.

“Awa and Night are connected, or so she told me. They die together or do not die at all. The injured should regenerate their body in time at the cost of a lot of mana, so one can not die separately in their current form.”

“Looks like Awa will need to recover her body like the other time,” Iris added after Lilith spoke.

Awa’s parents felt relieved Awa was not dead. They looked at Night running on the wall as if gravity did not affect her. They looked closely at their daughter’s fight while hoping their daughter would return to them in one piece.

Night created a wide greatsword in each of her hands. She swung both greatswords, and her body started to spin. As she jumped from the barrier wall, her helmet cracked open a jagged mouth. From inside, the open mouth shot a shadow line.

Night resembled a large blade saw attached to an almost uncuttable bungee cord. She landed and bounced back many times. Each time she cut some of the hard protection.

Sometimes blood sprayed before the wound gradually regenerated with the Mutated Regeneration trait boosted to be twice as efficient as the original version.

“Ladies and gentlemen. Awa Lionheart is wearing her dark armor, and she is relentlessly attacking the huge bear familiar.”

“This fight is spectacular, but there is another spectacular fight taking place. That is the fight between Mimi Lionheart and two opponents, Meaty and Slaveone.”

Mimi sidestepped and attacked with her blade saw shield. The buckler had grown an additional ten inches with spinning condensed blood. It was obvious Mimi took this idea from Awa’s fight.

Mimi kept attacking without losing hope. She slashed with her rapier, and her blade saw a shield. The wounds she inflicted were long but not too deep and not too wide.

Slaveone swung his sword and severed Mimi’s head. He moved forward into Mimi and swung the blade vertically to his left. Another Mimi appeared, and he was sliced in half.

Mimi appeared about half a meter from Salveone. “Bad boys need to be chill to attract the ladies. Hehe.” She joked.

Meaty lunged at Mimi. He was confident he was going to hit the real Mimi as she was taunting them instead of preparing to sidestep.

“What is that girl doing?” Vlad angrily questioned with a deep frown on his face.

Mimi threw her blood blade saw shield at the approaching Meaty and the rapier at Slaveone. The moment Meaty’s sword almost reached her hair, she swiftly shapeshifted into a bat.

Mimi soared to the sky and left the fight in her bat form.

“Ladies and gentlemen... did Mimi Lionheart just run away from her fight?” The commentator questioned with a perplexed expression. He was too confused to guess if Mimi escaped or made a tactical retreat.

Vlad became infuriated beyond reason. She furiously stood up, and the potent murderous aura had to be dampened by Karta and Luciano as the king, Anna, and Bilka were suffering from the pressure of dread.

“You better fight, you damn girl!” Vlad loudly shouted. His loud voice caught the attention of many. The commentator and Mimi were one of them.

Mimi shapeshifted back to a vampire. As she descended, she winked and slyly poked her tongue at her father as if she was teasing him.

“Father. Watch me show you how good Vincent’s blood is, hehe.” Mimi murmured before giggling.

Mimi spread her bat wings from her waist and flapped her wings to descend faster.

Slaveone had blocked the rapier while Meaty had let the bloody blade saw shield cut a few inches into his tough skin before pushing it out with his muscles.

Mimi targeted Slaveone as he was the weakest link. As she almost reached the ground, she shapeshifted into a bat, passed between Slaveone’s legs, and shapeshifted back into a vampire.

Mimi curled her fingers like a claw. Blood oozed from her nails. The blood condensed into long claws in the blink of an eye. After copying Awa, Mimi was now copying Lupa.

The pair of claws slashed Slaveone’s back. The ten lacerations were a couple of inches deep, yet it was not enough to prove a fatal wound against the large swole body in front of her.

Slaveone turned around while swinging his sword to hit Mimi, yet the blade missed because Mimi had made a little distance from him.

Slaveone noticed Mimi smirking slyly. With a frown on his face, he raised his arm to swing his sword again. But a blade abruptly impaled his shoulder when he was about to move his arm.
